They'll give you mayo when the sandwich doesn't come with it. They'll give you mustard when you specifically ask for none. And they'll put an insane amount on it as if they want to spite you for asking for no sauces on the the sandwich. They'll also add the gross slices of tomato (the gross end pieces, see my photos). The bread is also dry and tasteless. And they will ALWAYS forget the dipping stuff you ordered. Probably the most over-rated sandwich spot in the puget sound. First visit and I placed an order to go. Place inside is rather spartan and not somewhere you want to hang out. Staff was very friendly. I ordered a small turkey sub and some potato salad. They have a small cooler with drinks, but they're all sugared drinks other than water and Diet Coke. The taste of the sub was fine, yet the meat was sparse on the sub. And although the baguette roll was fresh, I was not a fan of the baguette for use as a sub roll as it was too thick and heavy. The potato salad had lots of great flavor and was the star of the show. I've been wanting to try Tubs for a while now because I love a sandwich, and I'm so glad I did! Tubs has so many options on the menu that all look really fun. I ended up with the Grinder since I like both ham and pepperoncinis and I thought it would be a more basic first sub to try. The toasted bread with all the fillings was so warm, satisfying, and tasty. The price is reasonable as well. I am super excited to come back and try other options! I just wish there were a location closer to Seattle so I could eat more Tubs subs more frequently. read more

Tubs never disappoints. I know summer is here when we grab a few sandwiches and head to the beach. So many options. The phoenix and the Hawaiian are my go tos! The potato salad is pretty good too. I included a soda and chips, and the entire meal was under $14. I had to wait about 7 minutes for my food, but each sandwich is hand crafted and made to order. The employee at the counter who took my order was helpful and knowledgeable. There is plenty of seating inside, but there are also chairs outside. FRESH BAKED BAGUETTE that they do for their subs -- this is their speciality/ go-to! Tender, soft, delicious, like I could eat how many of these! I got the French Dip! This was marvelous and I LOVED the au jus sauce. BF got the funky bird. Prices are a little up there for a small sandwich so if you're really hungry, go for the large. They cater too!
