BED BUG BITES AT THE RED ROOF INN LOCATED AT THE BOSTON LOGAN LOCATION

My God, this place has BED BUGS!!!! I stayed overnight with my boyfriend in a queen size room that had two beds, room 330(one king size bed was unavailable) I thought I was paranoid because I felt itchy after being on the bed one hour. I woke up the next morning with large, itchy bumps all over my neck and shoulders. My boyfriend's head wouldn't stop itching. I told the front desk associate 'Vanessa ' who didn't have an ounce of shock in her voice upon hearing I had bites on my body. Instead, with an annoyed and bored tone, she yawned and told me about Red Roof PLUS bed bug policy! (I Guess because they have em in every room!?) The policy is that Red Roof gets their bed bug specialist to come and inspect the room to authenticate a victims claims. If they 'find' anything, you get your money back, and if they don't, then they get to keep your money! What do you think reader? You think these bug breeders will admit they have bug infestations in their rooms, and will refund me my hard earned cash? I feel violated and disgusted. These people knowingly rent out rooms that endanger the physical health of people who just want a place to rest their heads for a night or two. Shame on you! Also, they sneak a Room Safe Deposit fee on top of your room fee, and you must ask to remove it at the end of your stay, and if not, they keep it.

This place is filthy. While taking a bath, I noticed hair all over the toilet which made taking a bath feel that much grosser. If housekeeper is this neglectful I wonder what else hasn't been cleaned

    Kinda broken down and worn!

Not impressed. The room I was in was really worn down. I took the chair pic because that should be an easy fix to switch out in a room. A chair with holes and no support is unacceptable. The paint fixes were off color and the toilet was so worn it looked like someone forgot to flush when we checked in but the streaks were worn enamel. When we went to check out there was no one around at 5am. They did put a sign out saying that they were helping other guests, but based on how long they were gone, which I don't know because we left after waiting 15 minutes, they were probably off napping. The person we checked in with was nice and they do have good vending machines and water pressure, but overall this place is not worth the price. I would not stay here again.

I had an event to attend in Northeastern Massachusetts the last weekend of Halloween and, thanks to Salem, hotel prices were through the roof. Red Roof Inn points to the rescue! A premium king room that was going for over $200 was mine for the night for the (quite reasonable) price of 7,000 points. Getting in an hour or two after sunset, I was quickly checked in and made my way to the room. First floor (meh), but in the back and hey, I wasn't paying for this out of pocket. I didn't feel like dealing with Route 1 traffic (or the accident that happened in front of the hotel shortly after I arrived) when I got dinner. Luckily, there's a Fuddrucker's next door and, while I'd normally prefer something a little more local, Fuddrucker's is different from what I can get at home and it sufficed. Back in the hotel room, my "premium" room came with a large work desk, refrigerator, microwave, expanded TV channel selection, and a snack box containing water, orange juice, granola bars, and popcorn. The granola bars and OJ made a nice light breakfast the following morning. Other than that, it was a typical renovated Red Roof room, indistinguishable from the many I have stayed at across the country aside if not for the interior corridors. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and quiet. About the name: while this property may bill itself as an airport hotel...it isn't. On a good day, it's a 20+ minute drive from here to the airport. In normal traffic, it could be well over 30. Don't book this place expecting to be at your gate 20 minutes after waking up.

The "sanitary" bed they gave us

I stayed at this motel with my son and husband in late may for two nights, the second night we were all itchy and red and scratching. We went through the protocol to get a refund but they told us they called ecology and they found the room to be "sanitary" after much back and forth they finally gave in and told us that ecology had in fact found bed bugs. The GM Vanessa was the most unprofessional, rude, not helpful in deescalating the situation. They threw out our blankets and told us weren't allowed back on property while we were waiting for a refund. I've never ever stayed at a hotel that made such a big deal out of this. It is common for hotel to get bedbugs from travelers it is inevitable. So why did she try and deny it and make us jump through hoops while I'm holding my 2 yo son covered in bed bug bites. NEVER STAY HERE . Pics tell the story

So ya some hotels are super flashy and fancy and throw in all this extra jazz but what's really important about your nights stay? For me its having a clean and comfortable place to stay, a safe location, and easy access to and from where I need to go. This place had all of that. So while it isn't a 4-star hotel necessarily, my experience was 4/5 for the price. I won't lie when I booked the place on hotwire I didn't realize I was getting myself into a random hotel assignment for the cheap rate of 55.00 a night, I actually thought I was booking a holiday inn. Instead I discovered I had booked the price and would be randomly placed in one of ten or so participating locations. The Red Roof Inn was not my top choice originally but I ended up being very pleased with my stay. The room had everything i needed. Comfortable bed, clean and with anything I might need, a small refrigerator and microwave, easy to work thermostat. It was definitely worth the price i paid. I slept like a baby and there was no noise at all. There was also coffee available 24 hours for guests and it is conveniently located next to many choices of restaurants. Only negative i had was that while the room was clean there was a bit of a smell that reminded me of smoke or something like that. It wasn't overpowering at all and only caught my attention upon entering the room. It was in the smoke free room section so I thought that could have been a problem for someone with an allergy. The location was safe and there was plenty of parking outside. The front desk staff was very friendly and greeted me promptly. I was also concerned about getting to the airport as I had been quoted 95.00 from the airport shuttle; the front desk was super nice and got me set up with a cab service for a flat 25.00 rate. The cab driver was 15 minutes early, got me to the airport quickly, and was amazingly friendly. Overall it was very affordable and quite comfortable for a stay in Boston. If you aren't looking for something really nice, and are happy with basic comforts and keeping some green in your wallet, i recommend giving this place a try.

The reservation did not require prepayment. Our plans later changed, and we stayed elsewhere. Unfortunately, while I believed the reservation had been canceled, it was not. I never arrived at the hotel, never checked in, and never used the room. Despite this, I was charged approximately $1,400. I was prepared for a one night stay charge like the policy states but not the full FIVE DAYS! When I contacted the hotel to dispute the charge, I was told that I had been on the property "the entire time," which is simply not accurate. There is no record of me checking in, receiving room keys, or occupying the room. Since November, I have made multiple attempts to resolve this matter directly with hotel management, including reaching out to the General Manager. Unfortunately, my calls and messages have gone unanswered. I then disputed the charge on my credit card, to which it was declined due merchant comment stating that I was on property for the entire stay - which again, isnt true. I was actually 30 miles away staying at a completely different hotel! I am disappointed not only by the incorrect charge, but also by the lack of follow-up and accountability. I would strongly encourage future guests to confirm cancellation policies in writing and keep detailed records should any issues arise.

Booked this via third party for $163 a night. CMI is located on a very busy street (US-1N or something). The angle to see incoming traffic is difficult and I was terrified when exiting the plaza (cars go sooo fast here). Busy street so I don't recommend little kids staying here. Check-in was easy and pleasant but the room...Upon opening the door, you get smacked in the face by the smell of piss, body odor and unknown smelly substances -I'm being serious when I gagged. It was already 630pm by the time we came and too late to leave. Bed had yellow stains and smelled like it hadn't been washed well. Shower curtains reeked of piss. Fridge and tables hadn't been wipe down (fingerprints and smudge marks visible). I was so disgusted I couldn't even shower. Slept on the bed and woke up super itchy with small bumps. I am not exaggerating by saying this was the worst stay ever. My husband who is rarely grossed out refused to shower there as well. We left right away the next morning. I don't recommend this inn at all. Disgusting. Smelly. Unsanitary. It sounds harsh but the owners need to clean up and be on top of their business. Just writing this review makes me itchy.

So ty Mark, you listen a huge source of stress for me by resolving this issue. The most disgusting, dirty, scary, unfriendly, no customer service, cheap, horrifying place i've ever had the displeasure of visiting. No one at front desk to check in. Had to use an old style phone to call corporate so they could paige someone from the hotel location to come down and check us in. Guy comes down visibly annoyed he is being bothered. Doesn't say more than two words to me the entire time he's checking me in. Then he gives me a speech with my receipt about how if i lose or damage my key card i'll have to go through this whole process again (using the dinosaur phone to get someone to come down) to get another key. So i'm thinking they don't have anyone at the front desk normally. So i ask for an extra key, which he tells me only one key per ID (if hotel needs ID to check in that's usually a bad sign). I explain that my husband is outside parking, and he had an ID also. He just looked at me annoyed, i'm assuming cuz he doesn't want to wait for my husband, so i instead ask if i can do it tomorrow. He points at the sign on the plexiglass window which has the front desk hours on it. (a hotel has front desk hours? don't you need staff 24hours because guests are staying 24 hours?) so i'm like ok, will there be an actual person down here tomorrow to help me with that? He says ma'am it's after hours. you're checking in after hours, with an attitude. Do you want the ID or not. I'm like i wasnt even asking you to make one, i'm only asking if there will be someone down here tomorrow. He points at the sign again and slams the window closing down right in my face. super i go outside, tell my husband, we decide to we'll stay the night and deal with it tomorrow. We open our room door and are blasted in the face with the smell of stale ciggarettes and cheap perfume. There's a hole in the bathroom wall along with cigg ash/burn marks. There's something suspicious floating in the toilet as well so we aren't sure if the room has even been cleaned, or if they just remade the bed. We decide we'd rather sleep in the car than stay here, but since there's no one at the desk and ice just had the door slammed in my face, we wait until the next day to try and cancel the reservation. On the way down, another guest coming in stops us on our way out to ask us if we know where to get "any crack". We said sorry, we're not locals and left in a hurry. Ended up at the holiday inn across the street with no issues and friendly helpful staff. it has been 5 days ive been trying to call guest relations for a refund for the first night we didn't stay. I STILL haven't gotten an actual person on the phone or a reply to my email. Do NOT GO HERE. Save your money (145$ a night) and yourselves. Go anywhere else. This place is straight up the stuff of nightmares and almost ruined our vacation.
