We came here for a school trip, at first when we got there it was very clean a but small but we soon realized there are no stoppers on the door and our whole entrance was flooded beacause water leaked through the door. and when we turned on the heater it smelt like smoke , broken kettle although room service was cheap eggs at breakfast were mushy , Overall it was a decent hotel but the view was giving motel or hostel beacause of the garbage dump outside . read more

This hotel was difficult to pick out and hard to find,....Let's start with the front desk. "We have luggage carts, but, we can't find them". The sofa is So deep that no one can sit on them without throw pillows and there are none. There's a kitchenette, but, no sponge to clean with. Freeway side of hotel is very loud. There are poor seals around windows so there was cold air blowing through. I asked for a bathtub, what I got was an ADA room, with rusting metel on both the pulldown seat and the overflow spout. The coffee/tea cups are 4 ounce(tops) kids size. This is not a pretty room at all. It was clean,(except for the rust). The front desk guy in the morning was helpful, and we used the gym. We stayed here while visiting Salem. Not super close. read more

My husband's clothes got wet and his camera and the camera batteries. When he told the staff they did nothing. They could care less. They gave him a phone number to call. No help. No compensation. Four stars for a solid hotel in the Peabody area. Make sure when you enter the address, enter the full address! It might take you to Newbury street in Boston, instead of Peabody! The hotel room is slightly outdated, but clean and spacious for the greater Boston area. The highlight is indeed its free breakfast. Weekdays start at 6:30 AM and weekends start at 7 AM. Come here early for breakfast! They do have a free hot tea/water/coffee station towards the back of the lobby 24/7. They also have two free EV charging stations in the back. The hotel staff member unfortunately doesn't have much knowledge how it works. When you drive over to this area, this hotel is the first one before you can loop around to get to the other two nearby hotels. If you meeting friends here, make sure to double check if it's Hampton inn, homewood suites, or springhill suites! Don't end up in the wrong hotel! Free overnight parking. read more

A really comfortable stay! I really can't think of anything that could have been better. Yes-the location makes the hotel a bit difficult to access but that's minor. Once on the lot, we were able to park easily (free parking). Check in was pleasant and the staff member who checked us in provided us with some complimentary bottled water for the room which we really appreciated! The room was clean and spacious enough. The bathroom well stocked with amenities and the tv had enough channels to keep us entertained after a long day. We didn't get a chance to use the pool and gym but both areas looked well kept. The highlight here is definitely the free breakfast which is a step above most hotel breakfasts. There were veggie omelettes, potatoes, breakfast meats, cereal and oatmeal, pastries in additional to bagels and breads, and the standard waffle maker featuring chocolate batter. We really enjoyed our stay here and would be happy to stay again when visiting Boston/Salem in the future. read more

We spent 4 days here. It seemed okay at first. Thankfully we were not at the hotel much because we were out exploring. The first morning I was in the middle of my shower and went to use the shampoo, but it was completely empty so I had to stop my shower to track down shampoo. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work, so the room was humid after every shower. House keeping was supposed to come every other day, but didn't. We inquired at the front desk & apparently housekeeping skipped several rooms. On our final day, we were checking the room to make sure we weren't leaving anything behind and found mold under the window/ac unit. I thought we were stuffy from allergies but now I know we weren't feeling well due to mold. We choose Hilton properties for consistency during travel and this property was a huge disappointment! read more

This hotel is your typical Hampton Inn. I've stayed at quite a few, so they all kind of the same to me. The women at the front desk, are very pleasant and checked us in as soon as they were able to. The room was clean and honestly have no complaints. Unfortunately, I do think Hampton really needs to step it up with the breakfast. It's crap. The eggs which tasted like powdered eggs, and everything just seems like frozen food. You picked up at the dollar store. For some reason they only have medium strength coffee and would've been nice if they had stronger coffee. The lobby and area where your food is, is well maintain and looks very nice. I did peep through the window walking by the indoor swimming pool. We did not use the pool since that just wasn't in our timeframe. It seemed very nice and it would be useful to have when it's cold and you want to enjoy some pool time. Overall, it's your typical hotel no complaints and nothing grossed me out . read more

This hotel is extremely difficult to get to, especially at night where you don't know where you are going, and miss the small entrance to the weird looking street and then have to go all the way around the block, which is about 10 miles or so out of the way, to get back to the small entrance to the street to try again and hopefully not pass it. That's why I took a star off. Location is everything and this wasn't great. Also, we were so tired and didn't feel like taking a long drive to loop around and get back to the hotel that we skipped dinner and opted to eat Cheetos in the hotel room. The hotel room was clean. This location served breakfast in a box. The manager gave us coffee and bottles of water, and the boxes, which contained a hard boiled egg, an Udi's gluten free bagel (YESSSSS!!!), cream cheese, a yogurt, and I grabbed an orange from the bowl that was out. I wish they would have asked what you wanted because I wasted the yogurt. My mom couldn't eat two yogurts. It wasn't a bad breakfast, it just wasn't a great breakfast, but because of COVID it was understandable. Also, it was so weird traveling from Hampton Inn to Hampton Inn and each one had different serving guidelines and rules. Granted they were in different states, but still weird. The manager in the morning was extremely friendly and made conversation. You could tell that he really likes his job and it showed in his demeanor and warmth. I was disappointed by the lack of standards for cleanliness in the room. When I was looking for an outlet found a box of cookies that had fallen from the dresser down the back wall that were open and some smashed and was a huge mess behind the dresser, as well as when I moved the rolling foot stool found trash and crumbs under that as well. The bed spread chair, and curtains had red stains on them. The tub water was running when we came into the room had to crank it hard to turn it off. Our neighbor was noisy and had a dog that barked throughout the day and there was banging on the wall so much so that we confronted the neighbors and he said it wasn't him but someone upstairs. When we question the front desk they said there was no one upstairs above us and told us it was ghosts. We didn't sleep well 2 nights in a row and when we checked out we're not asked about our stay but just asked if we wanted a receipt. Over all poor experience! read more

I booked this hotel on Booking.com. I had not noticed that it was nonrefundable, which is my mistake and I own up to that. However, I was excited for my trip when my plans drastically changed with a new job and medical reasons. I have contacted them through Booking, I've contacted Booking, I've contacted Hilton. They are not budging. Do not book this hotel if you believe anything will come up in your life where your plans may change. They are rude and don't really care if you're on your knees begging for your money back. :( read more

I enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn. Everything seemed clean and taken care of. The breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed the pool. Weirdly, in the middle of the night as I was falling asleep (around 11 pm, if I had to guess) I heard lot of thumping and banging and at one point the light in the "hallway" by the bathroom and door came on and turned off. I didn't have contacts in or glasses on, and there was a wall obscuring my view, but it seemed like to me that someone had somehow opened our door and flashed the lights on, then off, which was very unsettling. The person I was traveling with was already asleep, and therefore was completely unaware. I eventually got up when all was calm to go look at the door. The door security lock, which I'm not sure is what it's actually called, was still in place, but I did notice the light switch was right next to the door, meaning that someone could've reached though our barely open door and flipped the lights on and off. I'm really not sure what's going on. My best guess is that a hotel staff member didn't know we were there and maybe wanted to clean the room, but doing so at 11 pm would be a bit odd. My second guess is another guest might have mistakenly been given our room number and room key. I really don't understand what was happening, but whatever it was, it was very unsettling! Came out to the area for two nights for work. Highlights came in the form of breakfast and the pool. My room in the other hand now much of a high light. More so the bathroom being the issue. Hair left on the wall in the shower. The water filled up in the tub while taking a shower and had very poor drainage. Left a note for the cleaning people rather than bug the front desk about it. Second night they did a much better job cleaning but the drainage was still an issue. Left some water in the tub before checkout so they could see for themselves and notified the front desk when I checked out. Also forgot about one of the towels having some missing fabric from it. You would think laundry would use better judgment when folding and just toss it out. Everything else about the room was good, clean sheets, comfy bed. Just a warning if you bring your kids here at this establishment you will be harassed. What an EXTREMELY awful experience. My family waited for 30 minutes to check in with only 1 attendant working. A family in front of us had to ask for another set of cards to get into their room which the attendant keyed new cards and walked off with them and left us and 3 other separate people waiting to check in. That was about a 15 minute wait. Finally our turn with check in being straight forward as I had reservations made. Got to the 2nd floor, after walking down 2 long as hell hallways to find our key cards didn't work. A walk back down the hallway, waiting for the elevator and getting new sets. Same trip over again with those NOT WORKING. As I explained to the attendant with my family now waiting upstairs with bags and needing the bathroom, and the lobby bathroom locked (and not being used) I went back to the desk. What does she do after I said I need ANOTHER key set? She answers the phone. Then asks a man if she can help him when he just walked in. After I told her she wasn't helping him till I was dealt with, she had to call for a "master key number" and make herself a card and walk me up the stairs because the elevator wasn't coming. Did I mention I'm handicapped also? Shower had hairs in it already, refrigerator wasn't cool and the bathroom which is a no slip floor, was to sticky/tacky that it was disgusting. If we hadn't been traveling all day I wouldn't have used the bathroom at all. Let's talk about the TV. Every. Single. Channel Kept skipping and freezing. Every. One. We've been out site seeing today but it isn't that late to not watch tv and relax. Never would I stop here again. Alexis really holds this hotel together. She was kind, and really had wonderful advice and knew how to beat direct visitors in the best direction for travel and festivities going on locally. Hotel was very clean - bedding (especially duvets) were clean. It was nice to see this. I am very particular with this. I liked that we had a lot of towels. The hotel uses neutrogena products. ***The pool is a lot smaller than described online. I was also told when I made the reservation that they had a full bar (they do not). Just in case the main reservation line tells you this. I was told they had an Olympic swimming size pool for laps. ***they offer a complimentary breakfast. I thought this was nice. It is not a formal dining room but they have oatmeal, cereals, toast, yogurt, western omelettes that are prelate, muffins, and a waffle maker ---not sure if it changes daily. They did not have scrambled eggs. Not a five star hotel but it was nice to go somewhere and the staff was friendly, and it was close to where you need to go. read more

Horribleness.... Most of my stays in Marriot Hotels have been good. But this has to be a off brand. First they charge a $2.13 parking fee per nite. The staff was friendly but the rooms were not. The first room was it as clean as it shows online. The room smelled damp. Pulled the sofa bed out for my children and the mattress was pissy ...! We said no no no. Went and asked for another room. Seemed to be better and the layout was nicer. Yet the bathroom was half cleaned with body hair in the toilet and tub. Come on people !! We ended up spraying the entire room with Lysol and cleaning the place. Never again here. The rooms are very dated. Must do better !!! Good location and hats about it. read more

Absolutely love the staff at this hotel! Extremely helpful, go out of their way to make you feel at home, and very attentive. My only complaint is that our door lock didn't work so they had to replace the batteries then the entire door lock system. But they were so apologetic about the inconvenience that it made up for the fifteen minutes we were locked out of our room. I will stay here again when I visit Peabody. UPDATE: After calling Hilton corporate, our issue was resolved. No thank you to the manager at this hotel. Following up on my insane incident, I thought I would let everyone know to make matters worse, LUNA** (Correction, I had spelled her name wrong in my previous review) completely lied to me. Before I agreed to leave the hotel that evening, I agreed to do so with the understanding that we would not be charged for the room. Luna assured me we would not be charged for the room. Flash forward to today, a little over a month after the incident, we received our bill in the mail, and sure enough, we were charged for the room. After calling and speaking with the manager, they said the reason why we were charged was because they expected my brother to stay in the room... Just to clarify, my father,who is a Hilton gold member, booked the room for myself and my brother under my brothers name. But because my (first) name was not on the registration, I was not allowed to check into the room (see my previous review for additional details). So the police get called, I'm asked to leave, and they expect my brother to check in because his name was on the registration? While I am supposed to stay in a hotel next door. This makes absolutely 0 sense, and to make matters worse, the fact that she lied to me and told me that I would not be charged is very upsetting. All of this is just unbelievable and extremely frustrating. As Hilton honors members, to say that we are disappointed in this service is an understatement. DO NOY STAY AT THIS HOTEL. read more

We had a great stay on an overnight family trip to Boston. The pool was fun for the kids, and the breakfast spread was impressive considering it was a free hotel buffet. There are busy roads on either side, so I'm glad I had earplugs to sleep. I'd go again. read more

I wasn't gonna write a review but there's been a couple things to really bother me. I'm not good at confrontation so when I found a crusty, salt lined sports bra behind the throw pillow on my couch I was a little grossed out and annoyed. In times of Covid everybody's promising cleaner rooms and higher standards but I'm not seeing that. And I'm not one to complain about it, until I'm finding someone else's old clothing making me wonder if my bedsheets were even changed. When I complained about it to the front desk, nothing could be done " because I booked through a third-party site". I was told that I would get a discounted rate when I come back again, But I live 5 1/2 hours away, this isn't a normal trip for me. This bra wasn't tucked deep in to the couch either, it was right behind the throw pillow. The pool is nice, it's warm for sure but not the cleanest. I was extremely excited to swim one morning and when I had to ask to be let in because it was 902 and it opened at nine (I was extremely excited to swim) I was told it doesn't open until 10 from one of the pool guys while I was waiting for the front desk man to let me in. Why lie to me?.. I felt like he was just trying to bum me out or be lazy? Even though the Front desk and sign on the door said 9 o'clock? So that was also weird. The last thing that really bothered me was when I was somehow oddly locked in the pool room, my mom was trying to get the door open and when an employee came up to help my mom was describing what happened and the man literally put his hand up while he grabbed his key, as in to say quiet... it was so strange. Half of the staff is super friendly and helpful and the other half seems to dislike happy swimmers. The beds are super comfy, the heat and the air in the room were great, the bathroom is very clean, the front desk is very friendly, the breakfast is awesome, I really enjoy the 24 hour tea and coffee bar. And of course the cookies at the front desk are always delicious. Located right off of a major highway so be prepared for the noise, but located close to a lot of things. Only about 20 minutes from Salem also which was super convenient. I'm really torn about how I feel about this location. There are two hotels located directly next-door that I might try next time. read more

Wow, I was thoroughly impressed at the value we got out of this hotel for the price we paid (roughly $50 a night, via a Priceline express deal)! Our experience was nothing short of pleasant, from the moment we rolled in to the minute we checked out. Speaking of check-in, the front desk staff is super efficient. From walking in the door to getting keys to our room, I don't think more than five minutes elapsed. That's inclusive of the explanation about their various amenities, including an indoor pool! The free wi-fi was reasonably reliable throughout our stay, too. No complaints there. Even better, breakfast was included, and while the grub isn't exactly world class (see Exhibit A, hotel breakfast at The Witt in Istanbul), it's hearty and satisfying. Between the selection of breads and bagels to toast, various coffees and juices, two waffle irons, and even hot food(!), there was no lack of variety. To top it off, our first morning there, we were warmly greeted and taken care of by some very attentive and friendly employees. As others have mentioned, the rooms aren't terribly thrilling, but for the price, all I really wanted was a comfortable bed and a shower. Prior to arriving at the property I reached out to change my travel dates from 4 nights to 3. I never heard or received a response from the property with regards to my request. Upon check in I brought this to the staffs attention and was advised they would send a message to management as there was no manager on staff. When we checked out I again inquired about the change of the dates and was told again that they would send a message to management as no management worked on weekends. This trip was booked as I was moving my son into a college apartment in the Boston. I HAVE 3 MORE years of trips (Parent weekends, winter and summer move out and ins). I tried to work with the property and Bookings.Com to resolve this issue and its a shame that for about $100. They don't respond or are willing to lie and say I checked out on a day I did not just to make a little extra money. I have travel receipts the would say otherwise. I had other minor issues or concerns with the property with regards to the cleanliness of the property. When I arrived I was unaware it was a pet friendly property. When I stepped off the elevator it smelled of dog urine (I'm a dog owner so I know the smell). When I entered the room and saw the pet friendly door hanger it confirmed my initial thought. read more

I reserved a double bed asking for the first floor as my husband has a hard time walking. I was told they don't look at requests if you book through a third party. Then I was told there was a room on the first floor but it might not be cleaned. After waiting for 45 minutes I asked if they spoke to housekeeping. I was told that it wouldn't happen. We could just sit and wait until they we good and ready. I told them I wasn't happy with that answer and asked for the manager, and I was told she was the manager. I then asked for a corporate number and was told to find it myself. Then the manager told me she was cancelling my reservation. I asked her was she going to put my 13 year old grandson out on the street. She then put us on the 4th floor which was difficult for my husband. I wouldn't recommend the hotel to my worst enemies. If that is how management acts just imagine the staff. I am in management and I always treated people the way I wanted to be treated. Not here. read more

The price for the quality of this particular hotel was outrageous. I stayed at the Pompano Beach- Ft. Lauderdale location for much less, 1.8 miles from the beach in a brand new, renovated hotel that is much nicer than this one. The room i was in was filthy. The air conditioner was broken. I was able to change rooms only to enter a room that the carpet was wet, the ceiling must have just been repaired from a leak and there was an air machine going to dry the carpet running, upon my arrival into this new room. The carpet was covered in what looked like ceiling the debris. When I sat down on the bed the pillow case was NASTY!!! It was covered in dirt. I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous. I couldn't decide to mention it or not, but after further consideration I have to: the woman that checked me in had a shirt on that was so low cut I could see lips tattooed on her breasts. I can't tell you how uncomfortable it made me. It's extremely unprofessional. Tattoo whatever you want, but I shouldn't have to see that. Stayed here 2 nights, nice and clean, enjoyed my stay. The staff goes out of their way to try to connect with you which makes it kinda weird, like okay I'm busy no need to text me. Breakfast bar nice. It's located on an old main drag where there's lots of nearby restaurants and stores to get to. The entrance is kinda quick and awkward off the highway, I missed it twice since it didn't seem right to veer quickly off onto a tiny road. But I think a lot of the old roads are awkward in the modern era. They have a pool, large parking lot, and it was close to the main highways since I drove out to Glouster which was 30 minutes away and then headed toward Cape Cod which was about an hour with traffic. There were people that stayed in the hotel that were going to New Hampshire and Maine, so its close to those areas too. read more
