Got sat right away.. got the kids situated and ordered a few mins after sitting down. Waited, waited and waited. Kids had to go outside to play since the food was taking so long. We had waited for one hour. Server never checked on us. No coffee or water refills. I finally asked how much longer our food would be. Said 5 more mins. Food came out served by someone else. Other people's food came out before us and they had gotten there after us. Maybe a mistake by the server putting our order in late. Kids were really getting restless so we had to eat fast and wanted to pay and leave. I noticed the sever twiddling his thumbs at the cash wrap quite a bit. Pretty frustrating to say the least. Ahh..this place is a hidden gem. Since I read ALL yelp reviews and review photos before I visit a place, I think I should give an honest review to dispel negativity regarding the service at this place. From the moment I walked in the door, I was greeted with a smile- the hostess was very welcoming. There was a 15 minute wait. I was seated timely. My waitress, Sophia had a smile the entire time I was there. I dined alone and brought along an e-reader so I was there for sometime. She did not rush me, gave great recommendations and was timely with my requests. Food was good. I ordered a speciality coffee (Caramel Brulee), Mimosa (Passion Fruit) and the French toast breakfast with a side of hash browns. The French toast was the only not so great item but I think it may have just been my preference in method. We looked for this spot the last time we were in town and we missed it. However, we found it this time. We were not disappointed at all! Our sweet little server was kind and accommodating. The food was good! Fresh! I could have ventured off the beaten path and order one of the RRC specials but the breakfast tacos were calling my name. They were good as to be expected for a taco. It was like they hadn't expected the crowd. We'd been there before and had better service. Most of the breakfast dishes come with cheesy grits. We entered the restaurant at 9:30 and was advised we would be seated within 25 minutes. Approximately 45 minutes later, we were seated, 20 minutes later our server came to the table. I ordered the Little Red Hen and 45 minutes later, the server apologized they had no yogurt, as the breakfast was being put on the table. Long story short, it was a bad experience! I was a bit disappointed that the French Toast did not come on the bread that was described in the menu but it was still good. Fruit was nice and crisp. After hearing so many people rave about the breakfast here, we finally decided to try it. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype.. Our 2 toddlers got the egg, bacon and cheese grits kids breakfast. The eggs were undercooked and wet. It wasn't butter or runny egg, seemed more like they were sitting in a puddle of water, which seemed super weird and unappetizing. The cheese grits were thick, sticky and bland. My husband got one of the egg benedicts, it was supposed to have tomato and spinach and he asked for an over medium egg instead of poached. The tomato was missing, the spinach was a soggy mess and severely lacking in flavor and freshness and the egg was cooked incorrectly. He scraped off the spinach best he could but it had completely saturated the English muffin. So at this point it was a soggy English muffin, no spinach, no tomato and the egg was an undercooked over easy egg instead of over medium. I ended up giving him some of my meal because it really didn't look good. I got grandma's biscuits and gravy. The gravy was pretty thin and it was lacking in sausage but the flavor was good. That's why they got 2 stars instead of 1. Also, our waitress was pleasant and the food came out in a timely manner. So there were some good things. However, a different employee brought our food out and asked us if we needed anything and we asked for 2 more napkins with silverware as we had only gotten 2 sets for the 4 of us. After we sat there with our food in front of us for 5 mins, unable to eat it, I went and found 1 more silverware set myself and we were able to grab a fork away from one of our kids that was not using it anymore at this point. Overall, not worth the $50 we paid for all of this. read more

This is a great lunch spot. Casual with excellent food. There's a lot of really good looking sandwiches, paninis and burgers on the menu that I had difficulty deciding. After much deliberation I went with The Gobbler panini. The bread was grilled to a perfect golden and was filled with a good amount of delicious turkey. The sweetness of the honey bacon and the strawberry sauce was nicely mellowed out by the brie. Great pick for the type of cheese on this sandwich. As a side I went with the side salad. Since the salad is so large I thought they got my order wrong and brought me a salad instead of my sandwich. Really great meal. read more

When you enter the door of this establishment it says "best place for breakfast in Beaufort " That's unfortunate . We were seated and happened to notice that a party of two that sat after us had their order already taken (different waitress ). When we finally received our drink orders (two coffees and a water ) she said she would come back with a straw for my daughter , we noticed there were only three creamers on the table . We waited a good 10 minutes and when she didn't come back my husband stole the creamer and a straw from up front . While we were waiting for the food we noticed the ketchup bottle. It's obvious they are refilling glass bottles (which is illegal ). Please see the picture attached . It was enough to make me loose my appetite . I ordered two eggs over easy . They were slimy (picture also enclosed ) so I didn't eat them. It was also $33 for this horrible experience . Way overpriced ! So to sum up bad food, bad service , bad choice. read more

Highly recommend this establishment! We had a bit of a wait for our party of 19 but they opened up the other side of their restaurant to accommodate us. The hostess was so pleasant and kept us informed. Our server (I forgot her name - Kaycee or Karli maybe- sorry) was GREAT! She was the only server assigned to us and did a great job... not to mention, the food was truly phenomenal! The restaurant was clean and lighting was good; the decor and tables reminded me of a small town country flair. I love coming here. While a little pricey I do love getting the smoothies I don't know why they are so addicting. I really enjoy places that serve breakfast all day. My husband and I were desperate to find something to eat while in the area for work on Thursday (during covid-19 lockdown) we decided on this place 10 minutes before they closed and I cannot express how incredibly happy we were for that decision!
