The Chinese was middle of the road here overall. Solid staples and decent flavor but nothing that great. We ordered a variety of dishes for takeout, a combo chicken dish, Sichuan pork, dumplings, mu shu chicken, and they were all just okay. The dumplings may have been the best part. We would order again if we were looking for typical American style Chinese cuisine but there are definitely better places around that have more creative dishes and flavor. Ok, now I know why people rave about this place. Try the walnut mayo shrimp! The sesame chicken was very good too. nice place for Chinese takeout, not too expensive, no frills, just really good Chinese/American takeout. If you want something fancy, go down to Malden and east Asia is your damn oyster. If you want something fairly standard, a little greasy and big combo portions this is your place. The wife and kids don't really like it, well more so the wife, so it's the place I go when I got my own time. (fairly rare) Been consistent, fast and reasonably priced. Was in the Melrose area on my way home decided to place an order which was ready pretty quick, got general chicken and boneless rib combo which was really good and flavorful. I also got a wonton soup which is one of my favorite things but there was no flavor whatsoever it just tasted like vegetable water with no salt or seasoning which is why I'm giving it 4 stars. Why haven't we come here more often?! Called for take out . They told me it would be 35 minutes. After a hour I called to see what was going on. The women on the phone said the driver was on the way. Ok I waited 30 minutes more they said the driver will be there soon. 30 more minutes no food so I call the app to cancel the order. Then after the cancellation and order for a different place. The red rose called from there restaurant and said they are leveling. I told the driver not to come I canceled the order. I will never try this place again. read more

Red Rose is easily the best crab Rangoon around and their peeking ravioli is to die for I order at least once a week and as much as 4 times (yikes). Love this place and the people are so nice. read more

This is a good place to eat, food tastes good, reasonably priced and there is a large selection. The general gao's chicken is one of my favorites, It is crispy, the sauce is not too thick, and well flavored. The best part for me is the ability to modify the cooking. Usually fast Chinese food is very sauced or greasy but you can ask for less oil, or sauce. Go try it out and see for your self. read more

I was surprisingly delighted with their food. The chicken fingers are really crispy and not too greasy. I got take out last time and it took alot longer then they said it would. This Chinese place is really nice, the food is awesome but every time I order and I order a lot....there is a lady there name Lisa and she is so freakin rude on how she answers the phone and takes order. Fairly new establishment that is nice, clean, and convenient. Great service; the guy at the front that gave me my food was very friendly. I ordered combo plate takeout with chicken with vegetables, fried rice, and boneless ribs. I thought it was pretty good with a large serving size.
