Orange chicken with broccoli
Carra F.

I ordered the orange chicken, chicken and broccoli, and chicken fried rice. I placed the order online and picked it up 20 minutes later. When I picked it up it was ready and the employee was friendly. All of the dishes were okay but I feel like they lacked flavor and were too bland. I didn't like the taste of the broccoli at all. It's an okay place but I won't be ordering again.

egg roll with rubber band

so I have enjoyed finding what i thought was a good Chinese restaurant nearby... Red Rose in Melrose. I have never posted a negative review of a restaurant... until tonight i bit into my egg roll and found a rubber band. i called them and spoke with the manager Jadon and he said he would give me a spring roll, or chicken finger next time not going back ever

This restaurant falsely is listed on the food delivery apps as "Green Wok Vegan Delights". This restaurant is NOT VEGAN! It is a front for the real restaurant called Red Rose Chinese Food. After ordering from Green Wok Vegan Delights, I was certain my fried rice (labeled vegan.. from a vegan restaurant) contained egg. I had to do a little digging to find a phone number and was surprised to see the restaurant at the address listed is not what is listed on any of the food delivery apps. This took a "walk" down the street using online maps to find the real restaurant. It was confirmed to me they do use "Green Wok Vegan" on the delivery apps, and they do use egg in their fried rice. Also, the meal names from the order online do not match the receipt. They are literally passing things off from their normal "Red Rose" menu as their "Green Wok" menu. Do not trust this restaurant!

Vegetable Dumpling Mini Pork and Leek Dumpling Mini Pork and Mushroom Dumpling Fire Cracker Peking Ravioli

I almost don't even want to write such a good review because I want to keep them a secret to myself !! But they are worth all the hype !! I got the pork and mushroom dumpling- fried Pork and leek - fried, veggie dumpling - steamed Peking ravioli and the fire cracker app Everything had great flavor! I did not love the steamed veggie dumpling only because they all stuck together and it was hard to share and eat. If I get it again I would get it fried. The Peking ravioli and the fire cracker were my favorite The fire cracker was basically a spicy crab ragoon LOVED it. When I come back I'm getting two orders of that !! The portion sizes were really good. The ravioli was huge. Sauce was very flavorful! I did not go to pick it up but my friend said it was very busy and that's always a good thing !! I wish I took more pictures but I was too excited. Next time I will add more photos :)

Used to love this place but it's gone downhill fast. Today was my last time. Ordered a combo dinner plate and the $12.95 they have it on their menu for, was actually $18.95. It offered rice as a substitute for one of the appetizers and said nothing about the $2.00 extra charge. I understand places have had to adjust their prices but this is a 50% increase and this basic combo is still $12.95 - $13.95 anywhere else in the area. The food was well below average, which is a big change from how it used to be. Not sure but I think the staff and/or management there has changed. IMO there are far better and more reasonably priced places in the area to opt for.

So ngapore Rice Noodle

Tried Red Rose when all the food lines were crazy at Melrose summer stroll. I should have checked the pictures on yelp first because I saw "Walnut Mayo Shrimp!" I am happy that I do not have to travel to Chinatown to savor this entree. It must be on a special menu because I cannot find it originally. Now I know what to order when I stop by again. I ordered the Singaporean Rice Noodles (stir-fried rice vermicelli in curry powder) and I loved their version. It was saucier than other Asian restaurants (other places I have ordered came out to be super dry). Also spicier too. I would love the dish even more if they did not use that many onions and add some veggies (normally cooked with peppers). Chicken breast chunks were cooked perfectly (very juice). Friendly staff and i was told that they can try to make entree that you dont see on the menu.

Very comfy, cozy restaurant. This place is immaculate! I didn't take pictures of our food as we had…read moreit to go. We did have a drink at their bar. So friendly and right on top of things. Prices are medium to high. Handicap accessible.

Wei's Asian Cuisine is a very hopping place. I found this because two of my buddies invited me over…read morefor a cocktail and some food. I didn't know this restaurant existed. I was extremely surprised that I knew the proprietor from back in the day when he worked at a friend of mine's Asian restaurant. Wei is an awesome guy, polite, well mannered, and very customer oriented. It was great to catch up on a few mutual friends. as for the food when I arrived, my friends have already ordered so we had a few fried dishes some of which I haven't had for a while, but I do enjoy. we had jumbo shrimp and we also had the calamari. We had a bunch of beef teriyaki which was delicious as was everything else and there was also a dish with a bunch of mixed vegetables and beef with tasted like a oyster sauce and it was excellent. I enjoyed a cup of hot green tea. My buddies had some vodka and cranberries which came out looking fabulous and they enjoyed immensely. The location is a rather small side at a very small mall little plaza with maybe about 8 to 10 storefront. When you walk in, you have a separate section with some tables then you have a divider there are three more tables and about 15 spots at the sit at bar. The location was very clean and kept. The bar was very organized and it was jampacked with people. The place was hopping. It was a Sunday afternoon about lunchtime. People were watching the Pats. The takeout seem to run very well as I saw a lot of bags exiting the kitchen quickly. This is definitely one of the local hotspots for Asian cuisine. I was surprised the parking lot was so full, but there are a lot of spots for such a small plaza and I found one no problem. I definitely would suggest that you head over and give the food a try. I will return. Definitely tasty!!
