Red Rose is consistently our favorite meal in Disney and the only restaurant we frequent every time we go to the park. Don't let the simple menu deceive you (I in particular usually like to go for more inventive options), what they have they do very well. The flatbread pizzas are awesome, but the faire folds are to die for, as are their seasonal rotating cold brews. Don't pay extra for side sauce at adjacent locations like Eidelweiss snacks. Kevin and I stopped by Red Rose Taverne and I tried the Red Rose Taverne Chopped Salad, and it ended up being one of those meals that really stood out to me. The salad itself is made with chopped romaine and mixed greens, capocollo, rosemary ham, muenster cheese, olive tapenade, a crouton crumble, and a creamy Italian dressing, and everything came together so well. It was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly satisfying without feeling heavy, which made it perfect for a warmer day in the park. It gave me exactly what I needed to feel fueled and refreshed without that overly full feeling you sometimes get with park food. We used mobile ordering, and our food came out quickly, which made the whole experience really smooth and easy. Another thing we really appreciate about this location is the seating. There's a good amount of outdoor seating, and it's usually pretty easy to find a spot to sit and actually enjoy your food without feeling rushed. Mobile ordering while deciding to wait in the standby line was definitely faster. Mickey Mouse pancake with bacon and drink was a great deal. The breakfast fold over is also a solid choice! Red Rose Taverne is located in Fantasyland in the Disneyland Park away from most of the rides. It is a restaurant themed after The Beauty and The Beast animated movie. We usually only pop in to grab the Grey Stuff which is my mom's favorite. For the season, they have the Holiday Stuff which is the traditional Grey Stuff with added Holiday sprinkles and a white chocolate star on top. Their menu also consists of salads, Les Tenders de Poulet (Chicken Tenders) , the Taverne Triple Cheeseburger with Bacon and Taverne Potato Bites. They do offer plant-based items too and a small Kids' menu. Their food is nothing special, but I do like coming in to grab a table to relax and enjoy the interior which is decorated like a cobblestone cottage. My one big complaint is how slow the line moves - you order at one of the little carts and then you get into another line to receive your food. During our last visit, the kitchen was backed up and it took at least 20/25 minutes just to receive the 2 drinks I ordered. The lady who took our order was very nice and explained why there was a delay, but Disneyland is really turning into one giant wait - just constantly standing in line to experience anything at this point. Can't believe I've only been here twice! I absolutely love Beauty and the Beast--my wedding was even inspired by the movie--so Red Rose Tavern already had my heart. The ambiance does such a great job capturing the charm of the film, and it really feels immersive without being over the top. The food is good overall, though my hubby isn't the biggest fan. For me and my toddler, the tater tots and pepperoni flatbread are always a hit. After riding four rides back to back courtesy of lightening lane we had to get Dad some coffee to keep the Disney stamina firing on all cylinders. We found this place by accident because we were in line for churros across the road. Although I wanted to do mobile, ordering a mobile pick up wasn't for an hour which made no sense. Half of us waited for the churros and the other half waited in line for coffee and we opted to get a breakfast to share. The inside is decorated in beautiful beauty and the beast fashion. We made a specific stop here to try the 70th anniversary faire fold wrap that we'd seen reviews for on social media. Plenty of seating both in and outdoor on a moderately busy weekday park evening. We used mobile ordering and got our wrap within a couple minutes. We ordered the fried chicken variant of the wrap. Overall, this wrap was a win for me: a violently American take on a Crunchwrap. It's maybe a little over an inch thick and the size of a small dinner plate. Inside, we found two layers of hash browns and a generous portion of fried chicken drowning in what is best describe as a white melted Velveeta cheese sauce. Every bite was heavy and immensely satisfying if a self loathing level of caloric acquisition adventure type of way - even for Disney standards...and I loved it. Would be nice to have it cut with some sort of coleslaw or even a chipotle type of ranch/dip, but as the saying goes, "I ain't mad at it". Would definitely recommend sharing between at least one if not two other people. read more

They changed some items on the menu for the holiday season and also opened up a new dining area inside. We visited on the first Friday of the New Year. It was a nice visit as the park was not congested. I ordered through the mobile food order app so when our time slot buzzed for pick up we went straight to the pick up window. The mobile food order is also neat because they have selections and specifications for people with food allergies. My order consists of the Cheeseburger Flatbread, Little Town Harvest Bowl and Kids Cheeseburger peanut free/nut free. The Cheeseburger Flatbread was plentiful. It's very fulfilling and lots of ground beef, cheese, onions, arugula and black pepper. It's very flavorful. The Little Town Harvest Bowl was good for a plant based meal. Average food! I feel like this place generally has pretty standard food. It's nothing that will blow your mind, but it'll do. I don't usually crave Red Rose Taverne because there's nothing too exciting about it. I do love the theming of the restaurant however. This time around I decided to try The Spicy Chicken Cordon BOO (available for the Halloween season). I enjoyed it! It had decent flavor and a pretty good spice! It was definitely dry. Attending the 90s night restaurants were so chill and service was lightning fast. Midnight snack time we enjoyed the special themed menu which included BBQ Chicken Flatbread and Lemon-Lime Punch. The bbq chicken pizza had a generous serving of shredded chicken with balance of tangy bbq and cheesy goodness. Garlic Parmesan fries were prefect to share. In it's place for the plant based option is the "Little Town Harvest Bowl" - "Quinoa, Roasted Mushrooms and Cauliflower, Arugula, Tomato, Tavern Potato Bites and Spicy Lime Aioli". Normally, I'm not a big quinoa fan, most times I've had it .. it tasted bland to me and I imagined the dish would be an "earthy/healthy" sort of dish, which is great, but not what I was looking for at that moment. My wife wanted to try this however so we ordered one. It was actually much better than I anticipated. The seasoning was really good, didn't taste bland at all, and the spicy aioli had a small but lovely *kick* to it, really helping to elevate the dish. I had imagined the potato bites would be actual pieces of potato but that wasn't the case for our dish at least, as instead of "potato bites" it was full of tater tots, which wasn't a problem for us All in all, it was a good choice for us. It comes out of the kitchen super quick, it's a tasty bowl and probably more on the healthy side than not but doesn't taste like one might expect health food to taste (I'm sure the tater tots played no small role in that lol) and will probably end up leaving you fulfilled for a few hours at least. read more
