Last week I saw Brian Hoffman's "A Tribute to Red Skelton". I want to start off by saying this is a must-see show. It has all the warmth, humor, history and Patriotism that makes you love all things about Red Skelton and America. Come early so that you can wander around the entire theatre and marvel over all of the artifacts and memorabilia about Red Skelton. Be sure to engage the usher so that you get his personal account and tour of what you are seeing. See if you can tell who is behind the mask, if Covid-19 restrictions are still enforce. As far as the show goes, it is a laugh a minute. Good clean humor (like it should be). We had a small, intimate crowd so there was a lot of interaction with the group. Which made the show more entertaining, more spontaneous and it pleasantly ran over time. And then there was the ending. I don't want to give it entirely away but for me, it contained one of the most, if not the most, memorable routines in Red Skelton's career. And then it finished with a really nice and fascinating background about Red Skelton. Especially why and what happened to him after his TV show. As they say, they don't make them like they used to. And this especially applies to Red Skelton, and also Brian Hoffman's approved "A Tribute to Red Skelton" show. Go see it!! read more

Red Skelton is reincarnated - this is excellent tribute to Red and his favorite characters on his 20 year TV show. We laughed so much. This is worth while going to. Its an afternoon show in a wonderful small theater setting. The chairs and side tables for your drink (if you so wish) are a great way to enjoy 90 minutes - and rest your feet. The setting itself is so comfortable- but with "Red" joining you for those 90 minutes a very memorable moment. While another YELP reviewer was concerned about American Values and some references to "God" in the show, the people who complained on YELP have never seen Red Skelton Show. Without them, it would not be Red. Treat them as what America in many communities was like in the 1950's and the 1960's.... its a good way to remember those traditional family values as well.. When CBS fired Red, he took all his TV show tapes with him and never allowed them in syndication. If you were to see them, you would know how blessed we are with this wonderful tribute show......Luckily Red Skelton will soon have a museum in his home town in Indiana as well. But for those who want to relive a little part of early TV history; enjoy some wonderful moments, this show is "right on" As a pre-show there are early TV ads; some funny animal picture moments, and more on the 2 TV sets in the theater. They themselves bring you back to the wonderful early days of TV. So for those who want to see a more personal show in a wonderful and comfortable show room (makes you feel like you are in a comfortable chair in your living room) go see Red. And his skit on drinking alcohol is worth the cost of admission by itself. and with the afternoon show time of 2:00 - its well worth putting on your must see list when in Las Vegas. It only plays 3 or 4 days a week so check the show web site for when it plays. We bought our tickets on Goldstar - and it was a steal to see this excellent well thought out and enjoyable show. Good job - and hope to see it again on another trip in the future. Its worth taking your mom or dad or anyone over age 50 to. Hands-down the best show in town! I walked in expecting to see a comedy show. Don't get me wrong, it's plenty funny. However, Brian is truly doing a tribute to Red. Some of the things that made him memorable and some of the memorable things that made him immortal. Many younger folks may not appreciate some of his perspectives initially. I watched this show last week while I was visiting Las Vegas. It was really great! I laughed, I cried, and I reminisced. All I could think about the whole time I was watching, was how badly I want to bring my grandpa to see Brian Hoffman's show! This show is a must see in Pigeon Forge. Brian Hoffman's portrayal of Red Skelton is uncanny. He looks like, talks like and has the same affectations as Red S. The routines are really funny. He does the pantomimes, jokes and he does so through the different characters that Red Skelton developed. He also speaks about Red Skelton's life. If you remember Red Skelton, or want your kids to know him, don't miss this show. I felt very connected to Brian Hoffman while he was on stage. He would interact with the audience and the audience felt they could interact with them. Sometimes he would be found laughing at an audience member's comments. I don't know how he did it but he really tapped into the spirit of Red Skeleton. At the beginning of the show Brian interacted with us to take our tickets and mingle around. After the show he stuck around and was very willing to talk to and interact with us on a more personal basis. I'm sure everyone was wondering what the 20 something kids were doing there, but I LOVED IT. I would for sure suggest this show to anyone. It's a great family atmosphere. Side note, a lady in the audience was coughing pretty hard and Brain was made sure she was ok; then even got her a bottle of water. Classy people. The part that my entire family abhorred was the christian preaching that was entwined throughout the entire show. We did not pay to come to a comedy show to listen to the comedian/actor pontificate. My 87 yr old dad and I had a great time at the Red Skelton tribute show. The showroom features comfortable leather chairs that allow you to sink in and relax. Probably the most comfortable showroom in Vegas. The performance is fantastic, touching and memorable. It's a trip back in time with the wonderful Red Skelton and his many characters. Image yourself stepping back in time and enjoying many of Red's best routines. It's corny, it's funny and it's a blast! This is not a hip, modern show. It can't be because it's a tribute to someone who was in their prime in the 50's, 60's and 70's. Brian Hoffman portrays Red in a wonderful way and I sense how Brian enjoys and appreciates sharing Red's history with the audience. It's almost as if Brian's role in life is to share the Red Skelton story and to make sure Red is not forgotten. We loved the show and will go back again next time we are in town. Despite many, many trips to Vegas, this was our first trip to the Westin. It's a wonderful property with a small, smoke free casino. We enjoyed our time there. Oh, you get 20% off at the restaurant next door which looked very nice. You can plan to have lunch there before the show or an early dinner after the show to make an even nicer time of it. One more thing, because of the previous posters comments. We did not find the show to be overly religious. There were one or two comments about it. I'm sorry someone else was offended but we never gave it any thought. Red was a spiritual man but I do not think Brian is trying to convert any one, he is just telling the story as it was and as it related to Red. I consider myself privileged to be able to count Brian amongst my friends, in a world and especially a city where human values have taken a serious decline in the past few years, it is a truly blessed breath of fresh air to experience Brian's portrayal of "America's Favorite Clown" Red Skelton I'm old enough to remember the days of Red Skelton on the Ol' Black and White TV and the transition to the color tube and when I visit with "Remembering Red" I know that from the minute I walk up and see Brian greeting and chatting with guests and escorting them to their seats ( be advised if you buy a VIP ticket YOU WILL BE ANNOUNCED AS VIP's ALL THE WAY TO YOUR SEATS) and all the way thru the 90 minute performance that feels like it went by in 90 seconds, I have been in the presence of a true gentleman who is remembering one of comedies best to ever grace our lives. And how special is it to have Freddie The Freeloader taking pictures with you and being shown around the memorabilia that has been emplaced in this super comfortable and intimate showroom (70 +/- seats) for the guests to admire and reminisce about... And as you walk away and you look over your shoulder as you go about your way...and see Freddie standing there....waving and wishing you God Bless...you know you have truly experienced an uplifting performance by an exceptionally gracious man. Some friends, my wife, and I went to the Red Skelton show a few days back and found it to be throughly entertaining. I had seen another tribute show in Branson and thought it was good and asked this gentleman about him and he know the fellow and unfortunately, he had passed away. This makes Brian Hoffman the only one recognized by the family as the official tribute person for Red Skelton. If you come to Pigeon Forge, I highly recommend your seeing this show in a very intimate theater, if you liked Red, you won't be disappointed in this gentleman's version of this great American classic. read more

If you are a baby-boomer (or even if you are not), this show will transport you back to your youth as you become mesmerized by Brian Hoffman's performance as Red Skelton. This is good, clean humor suitable for any age. He has captured Red's persona so well, you forget this isn't Red himself. There were times when tears flowed, because I was remembering all the fabulous evenings spent with my family, laughing and crying over Red's TV performances. I was first introduced to Red Skelton 8 years ago on Sirius Radio I am 39 years old I think I may have been one of the youngest people in attendance at the show tonight aside from my two sons age 7 and 9. Brian Hoffman did an excellent job portraying Red Skelton, totally enveloped the character I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I'm sure Red Skelton would be proud.
