Recently I was reading the local town paper and I was delighted to see my favorite pizza place on the front page! (Congrats Guys) I have been going to Red Star for years and I have to say that EVERY visit has been lovely. The staff is friendly and always warm and welcoming. I go to Red Star on my lunch break they have a wide selection of FRESH sliced pizza along with fantastic specials that are creative and reasonably priced! With the lunch rush the Red Star staff always seems to amaze me because they are quick and efficient which makes my lunch break simple. My favorite pizza to the order is fresh mozzarella, fresh basil and sliced tomatoes with some balsamic glaze and every time It is cooked to perfection! We ordered from this dump today 3 buffalo chicken cheesesteak wraps not 1 of them had buffalo sauce but they were all over cooked and so dry we threw them out. The burger wasn't completely cooked but burnt on the out. read more

This establishment was run bye someone else who used to make the best food. I have not been here in a good 10 years. But I remember the good food they had. So i said to my kid let's get food here. A big mistake. They used to make the best cheese steaks And they defiantly changed owners for the worst. Don't use a previous owners name either with a good reputation and sell bad service and food. Love Red Star. Must have eaten their food a few dozen times over the years. Usually pick up take out but have eaten in a handful of times. Takeout- Very dependable, food is tasty and delivered hot. Have ordered numerous items, I recommend the following: Salad-insalata siciliana ; warm sandwich-garlic spinach chicken (yum!) ; any dinner special ; pizza - great crust and sauce. Can't get an order right. No matter how many times I ask for something-it doesn't arrive that way.They need to hire help that knows what to do! Food with tomato sauce soggy and wet. Yuck! They need to fix up their sauce. Only good thing is that they deliver in emergency. Almalfi's in Lawrenceville 100% better as is TJ's in Lawrenceville. read more

Should be Red Star Pizza 2... as in 2 stars. Just another dime-a-dozen pizza joint. We've ordered from them on a couple of occasions and I've tried several different pies... they can best be described as varying degrees of bad to worse. The pies are doughy, they go very light on the low quality toppings and the veggies seem previously frozen. In all honesty, it is really hard to believe that the positive reviews on this one are legit. There are lots of much better choices for pizza; DeLorenzo's in Robbinsville, Conti's in Princeton, or only 5 minutes away, It's Nutts on River Rd. in Titusville. read more

Overpriced, nothing spectacular. Ordered a Large Plain, 12 Wings and 2 liter was around $25 and no better than the few other pizza shops in town that have specials for the same thing for around $18. Good for convenience but you can go about a mile 1/2 up the road and save about $7.00 read more

We always order from here and it's usually fine but yesterday our pizza was inedible. The pizza was so salty, I'm not sure of the top of the salt shaker fell off and it spilled all over the pizza but my mouth actually burned from the amount of salt. Who ever made the pizza yesterday should be fired. Absolutely disgusting. read more

I recently was introduced to Red Star by a neighbor after literally driving past it everyday for eight years without ever knowing it was there. Having been a frequent traveler to Tuscany - I love the very thin (almost cracker) type crust that is so seldom found here in the US. I have to say Red Star makes pizza that tastes like the wonderful pizza I know from Italy. I was completely blown away. I was immediately hooked and now look forward to having pizza night. The service was friendly, the interior won't win a beauty contest but then its a pizza joint and I always take out. If you are a fan of thin crust pizza - this is the only place I know in the area! read more

I've been coming to Red Star regularly since 2007. Great hoagies, great steaks and the best pizza. Whether it's one of their gourmet deep dish pizzas, meat lovers is my favorite but the sausage peppers and onions and the veggie are also excellent, or just a plain old slice, you can't get better than Red Star's. Great staff, very friendly. I never tire of this place. read more

I would give Red Star a 5 if it weren't for the awful, dismissive service ive recieved each and every time ive gone there. The pizza is my favorite in the area and really very good. Delicious. Unfortunately, ive always been made to feel that im interrupting the (way to many) people behind the counter and none of them have ever been in a hurry to acknowledge me. The young girl with straight, brown hair at the register is downright rude. I went in a week ago and she and another woman were having a conversation that seemed inappropriate for work, let alone in front of the customers. Even when the woman stopped speaking, the young girl continued the conversation and totally ignored me. FINALLY, the older gentleman acknowledged me. When i presented a coupon for my pizza, the girl looked so judgemental and pissed off a me. Hate to say it but i get this treatment every time i go there. The pizza is more expensive than any other shop in town (and ive tried them all) but its also the most delicious. If Red Star could show a little gratitide to their customers, they'd be a 5 star in my book. If there was a half rating, id actually give them a 2.5. Expensive, awful attitudes and service but the most delicious pizza. read more
