Visit 2 Ordered the ravioli of today (think it was portabello). Was really good. About 5 pieces with cream sauce, definitely left me wanting more food though. Figured it couldn't be much more than the other priced plates. Not sure why ravioli is so expensive as I make it myself, including the pasta (was about $23!!! for 5 pieces!). That's at least 4 dollars per piece of ravioli! Wanted to give the southern fries (sweet potato) another shot. Figured it couldn't be worse than the first time. Hah! Boy was I wrong! The inside was fine, but the outside was mostly black, the non black parts were a dark brown. At $5 for fries I expect better, I've never had such horrible fries anywhere and I order sweet potato fries almost everywhere they're available. For a restaurant like that, I wonder how they could still serve burnt fries to a paying customer. This experience definitely left a bitter taste in my mouth (maybe that was the fries). I was so excited to try this place since I heard good things about it. I would definitely recommend the ahi poke tacos because they tasted delicious. It was so refreshing to have the radish paper used, and the sauce tasted delicious! The shrimp ceviche was ok. I thought the shrimp was very done, but my family did enjoy it. Best gastropub in the Huntington Harbour area - Period ! I especially like their deep fried eggplant chips with ahi poke. The tuna they use is very high quality and the eggplant is lightly seasoned and crispy enough to hold the poke on top like it's salsa. Everything I've tried here has been delicious. I'm glad it survived the pandemic. I used to come and eat outside on the patio when we weren't allowed to dine indoors hoping that their doors wouldn't shut. Great find in Huntington Beach. Amazing food and very friendly staff!! My fiend and I stumbled across the restaurant. We had had the crab cakes and they were wonderful! I loved the homemade tarter sauce they served with the crab cakes. The chopped salad was wonderful. The blue cheese vinaigrette was so yummy I wanted to kick the plate. It is plenty for two people. The service was so SLOW. Ridiculously SLOW. Seemed the bartenders couldn't keep up and the place isn't even that big. I absolutely love this place. As someone who has to eat gluten free for health reasons, this is a go-to for me because they have specific gluten free options. My husband and I usually start with an appetizer of either the orange chicken or the buffalo chicken. Both are obviously totally different flavors, but super good. I always have a tough time deciding what to get when I come here. The braised short ribs are amazing and come with some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. I've had most of the burgers (lettuce-wrapped) and they're all super good. They also have gluten free fish and chips which is awesome because before I found this spot I hadn't had fish and chips in years. My husband is a fish and chip enthusiast and claimed that thr gluten free fish and chips from this place are even better than regular fish and chips. There is also an assortment of cocktails and wine and beer and a great happy hour menu. We celebrated our second wedding anniversary here a couple days ago and it was lovely. read more

This place has quickly become one of my favorite places to eat in the 2 + weeks it's been open. Everything my wife and I have ordered has been amazing. I have tried almost all of the appetizers and have yet to be disappointed. I highly recommend the Cheap Date, Grilled Pork Belly, and the Parma flat bread for sharing, or at least to start the meal off with. If you have a small group you might just want to share a variety of appetizers to find the one that will keep you coming back. All the portions are ample and we have yet to leave without leftovers. This place is a little different then most when it comes to ordering. A server does not come to the table to take your order, you order at the registers. They add a 5% tip to the total at that time. The servers are all very friendly and work quite hard to keep you happy, so add some more tip on at the register or at the table before you go. I am not really a dessert guy, but I have found that the Red Table Cupcake is addictive... it might have crack in it. :) FYI on corkage... $10.00 if they do not carry your bottle, and $20.00 if they do carry it. read more

The food was just ok. The fish and chips was 'fish of the day' and I think the fish was tilapia and it was kinda tough to chew on-will never order this again. The artichoke dip was also just okay. Seemed like the type of boxed dip you get from the store. The burger was very good though. They have a wide variety of items on their menu so i'll be back to try other things. Tucked away in the plaza, Red Table has been around for awhile it seems and does pretty well. We came on a Friday at around 4:30pm and within an hour, it was packed. The bar was full and there were families popping in for an early dinner. They have different options for French fries (sweet potato, garlic, etc), lots of appetizers that are gluten-free, flatbread, and full entrees involving fish. It's a place you can bring anyone as there is something for everyone. The food is typical American fare. We ordered sweet potato fries, bacon wrapped dates with mascarpone (yum!), garlic fries, boneless buffalo chicken bites, wings, and a flatbread. Overall it was a very nice dinner. The food was very good overall. Beware, the hot peppers they offer as an appetizer are indeed over the top hot!! My brother prides himself in eating very hot and spicy peppers, but these were so hot he could not taste his food for at least 15 minutes after indulging in the pepper. Came here after an early evening duffy boat ride in the harbor. I ordered the poke and Bollywood fries. The poke was VERY good. Fish was fresh, flavors were fantastic. Loved the eggplant chips they came with. Bollywood fries were also pretty neat. I got them because I love fries, but I guess fries are not terribly exciting. Husband ordered the andouille pasta, which was to die for. Really, really great pasta, great flavors. Sausage was amazing. He said it was one of the best pastas he's ever had. I had some and loved it as well. Pretty good beer selection on tap, including Belgians, stouts, IPA's, etc. They had Sculpin and Duvel on tap. On Algonquin in the Trader Joes shopping center - but behind Trader Joes not facing Algonquin, was a little hard to find at first... I liked it when I first walked in because it was a different type of atmosphere in Red Table compared to the downtown HB scene. Modern, plush decor --- a mix of eclectic items like interesting art, old fixture pieces and an industrial open roof make this place a modern gastropub. The bar was a wine and beer only bar...meaning no mixed drinks so be prepared to try new things. I had a French Brut Champagne Rose and some lightly amber colored beer (sorry someone ordered it for me so I don't know its name). Both really delicious and for my Champagne $12 a glass and a pretty full glass at that isn't bad... Since we were such a large group we automatically had to eat the food that would be laid out on the tables. Not sure if it was pre set or food chosen by the party planners but I ended up tasting: Deviled Eggs - Spicy deviled eggs, pretty tasty Meatball Sliders - Huge meatball packed in a big bread bun with melted cheese. Pretty standard meatball had no interest in the bread The Crush Flatbread - crushed tomatoes, basil and cheese. Pretty filling. Standard pizza. No Bones Buffalo Chicken - My favorite item! It was spicy chicken nuggets with a dipping sauce. YUM! Red Table Cupcake - Red Velvet topped with vanilla and cream cheese whipped creme with cinnamon. It was okay, it was kind of dry, however I heard that someone from the group had it before and it was a little undercooked (like doughy and fudgey) and tasted better. Service wise, people were nice and all but only during the first 30 minutes we were there. I wanted to do four stars ...but the service was kind of lacking for our large group. I came here with a group 13+. Once we ran out of water for our table I kept trying to hunt someone down for water. Wished they staggered the food plates a bit for warm fresh food, instead it was laid out when we got there. Overall my food was good, wished I was able to just order my own things but I didn't want to waste the plentiful amounts of food on the table. Food got cold throughout the night so that was a bummer. I use to live just down the street and about 8 years ago...there was no red table, no vegilicious, no bowl of heaven and definitely no trader joes! But I'm so happy to see that this little plaza has established itself! Glad to see that there's a crowd now! No more going down memory lane anymore! Lets talk food! Bollywood fries: absolutely loved it! I noticed my fingernails were a bright yellow due to the curry powder! Although not a big fan of the secret sauce, so we asked for the bacon chives aioli...very, very tasty! Crab ceviche: not what I expected but the waitress did warn me about it. I actually enjoyed every bite of it! It's definitely on the healthy side. Instead of using tortillas, they use thinly sliced radishes. The dish itself was flavored nicely...hint of lime and spicy, but savory. Table burger: I really liked it actually! Simple yet juicy and flavorful! Went there to find out chef Louie was no longer the owner and working there. I was little disappointed that I was looking forward to his recommendation and good food.
