Came here for a date night and experienced good food and cocktails. I ordered a couple of specials. Standout was the marinated beef hearts. It was so tender and a bit smoky, almost like yakitori. Another special was the quinoa risotto tenderloin. The tomato jus was chefs kiss! Seco Norteno - a bit heavy on the starch with the beans and yuca. After a few bites it tasted all of beans. =/

Saw this place on Yelp and was interest on the unique take of this restaurant. This Peruvian restaurant has some Asian fusion in their dishes. The service was excellent and I really enjoyed the complimentary cilantro soup and home-made potato chips. Scallop she'll (4/5); This was grilled with cheese and butter inside. The cheese was a bit strong, but it was unique thing to try. Limo Sataldo (4/5); The meat was a bit rubbery, but the flavor was on point. Chaufa Marino (4/5): This fried rice has scallop, octopus, and jumbo shrimp. The flavor was good, but could be stronger Grilled octopus (5/5); This was by far my favorite fish. It was super tender and juicy. I really liked how the chimichuri enhanced the flavor.

My wife and I were pretty blown away by this place. We used to eat here when it was Boston Market so we were amazed by the transformation. Beautiful interior with very comfortable seating. Outstanding welcoming service from the moment we walked in the door until we left. While perusing the menu we were brought fresh made potato chips served with a spicy dip. Very unexpected unique complimentary starter! We started with Peruvian scallops that were grilled in the shell. Two Parmesan Reggiano and two brown butter hazelnut. These scallops are really tiny for the price but with huge flavor. Both flavors were fantastic and I would order again. I love Peruvian Cebiche so I got the playa mixto which was fish, shrimp, octopus, scallops, corn nuts, onions, and sweet potato served in a spicy tigre leche marinade. Seriously the best cebiche I have ever tasted. The seafood was as fresh as it gets and the liquid was spicy and sour. I'm salivating right now thinking about it. My wife went with the classic Lomo Saltado which had fresh cut French fries in it. Very tender meat and a delicious entree. She really enjoyed it. They've added a nice selection of non seafood items since they first opened. For cocktails I had a Pisco Sour and my wife had a plum based drink. Both unique and refreshing. For dessert we had the made to order picarones which are donuts made out of sweet potato. Was covered in a fig and sugar cane sauce. Heavenly way to end the meal! I absolutely loved this restaurant and cannot wait to return!

I've been dining at El Rocoto in Cerritos since college, and recently found out about their more seafood-focused sister restaurant, Rocoto Pesca Bar! There was ample parking in front and such beautiful decor once we were inside the restaurant. We were seated immediately because there was little to no wait on a weekend day evening. There's a lot of crossover between the menu at Rocoto Pesca Bar and at El Rocoto, but a clear distinction is the complimentary appetizer your server greets you with. You get the same aji verde and rocoto sauces seen at the Cerritos location, but instead of fresh bread, you get fresh potato chips for dipping. They were perfectly salted and so warm, which made them that much more addicting. It took everything in me not to ask for another order because they were THAT good. My friend was carb loading for an upcoming half marathon, so we ordered Grilled Octopus, Fettuccine Huancaina, Arroz Marisco, Hamachi Tostada, and Picarones. All the savory dishes were incredible, but I don't think I would order the Picarones again. Just because it didn't work out for me, doesn't mean it can't work out for you, so you should still try it and decide for yourself! My only regret in dining here was not having more stomach space to try the rest of their seafood menu. Guess we have no choice but to run it back the next time we're in HB!

What an enlightening cuisine experience at Rocoto! Fusion of Peruvian and Japanese flavors and styles make for some super intricate and surprising dishes. Waiter was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his recommendations. Great service overall and definitely made us feel at home. Must try the Peru Scallop Shell and the Hamachi. Flavor combinations were out of this world. For entrees the short rib fettuccine was delicious - could have eaten two of them. Highly recommend this amazing restaraunt. Great addition to the HB community!

Soooooooo good!!! Went here for lunch with my husband and we WILL be back! We ordered the oysters, which were huge and tasted like the ocean, the grilled scallops - small but delicious, mixto ceviche which was amazing, and the octopus-- I cannot attest to it because I don't eat it, but my husband wouldn't talk while eating it because he enjoyed it so much. I can't wait to go back to try more entrees! Oh, and the Pisco Sour was on point!

    Smoky cocktails!

WOW!!!! Had the BEST time ever yesterday, 1/24/2026. It was our first time dining here and it was OUTSTANDING! Thank you to Christian and his marvelous team for making us feel so welcomed and making such incredible, tasty food. We ate EVERYTHING, not one drop of sauce or rice or chopped cilantro was left on our plates. Wish we took a pic of the aftermath to show how divine everything was and how it got devoured! This restaurant will be an absolute staple in our fun night out's when all of our schedules match. MANY were regulars that were also dining with us last night, so you know Christian and his team are beloved here in HB. Rocoto Pesca Bar was exceptional- I cannot stop thinking about the Hazelnut Shoyu(?) Scallops. That sauce was something else! We ordered the Fettucine Huancaina, Lomo Saltado, & Macho Mar. INCREDIBLE. I'd go back every day just to have that fettucine because i love pasta. Also, adore how they have little bag hooks under their tables. So much thought put into this cozy, lovely restaurant! You can hang your items and dine comfortably. Thank you Rocoto Pesca Bar!!!

I have been meaning to write this review, I moved to Huntington Beach in October and I live off Warner and I keep passing this place and I'm like that place looks good so my girlfriends and I went a few weeks ago and we had such a nice dinner! The service was amazing. I wish I would've got everybody's name, but the vibe is great. Everybody was very nice and welcoming.. We also ordered a Pisco sour which was amazing and a few other dishes, but I did not get photos of them so I just posted the ones that I had but the food is amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed it a lot. I can't wait to go back and enjoy some red wine and have another dinner.

Finally made it in to try Rocoto! It's been on our list since we heard a new Peruvian spot was coming to town. We came for a late lunch and were seated quickly. We were given some delicious chips to munch on while we looked over the menu. There were so many amazing sounding dishes. The waiter recommended the tallarin saltado surf and turf so I went with that. My husband got the chaufa pollo. Lunch items came with a soup and we also ordered playa mixto ceviche. The first item to arrive was the soup. Today's was fish soup and I could have eaten a whole bowl of this stuff. The flavors were incredible. My husband agreed and he doesn't normally like soup. The ceviche was good. We are not huge ceviche connoisseurs but we felt like we had to try it. I don't think we're the best to judge it though. We probably wouldn't get it again. The main dishes. Both were awesome. While eating we started texting family to set up another meal here. The tallarin was warm and comforting. I loved the flavor of the meat and shrimp and the noodles were really good. My husband said it's one of the best fried rices he's had at a restaurant. The servers were helpful and kind throughout. The restaurant is beautiful and feels fancy. Can't wait to go back!

I'm so happy Rocoto is doing so well! Came on a Friday night and the restaurant was packed!I'm not a huge seafood person so I got the lomo saltado, but it was really good. The croquette was amazing as well. My husband made me try the ceviche, and it wasn't too fishy and felt very fresh. Glad to have a quality Peruvian spot so close!

Food was tasty and high quality, waiter did a good job and was pretty busy taking orders from all the tables during lunch hours. Very modern and clean design, love the look and renovation.

We dined in this past Friday night and I was absolutely blown away by the food, drinks and service!! I absolutely love the incorporation of Chinese & Peruvian flavors. We had all seafood dishes and they were so tasty and can tell seafood was fresh, which is so important to us!Max was our server, he gave us suggestions and explained the menu to us in a very thoughtful way. we tried so many dishes and they were all amazing, the drinks were also incredible too. As a local, We are so excited to have found this gem and can't wait to come back.

They do this near the end of the month on Mondays. Unfortunately, this is their 3rd to last event as they're going to be doing some restructuring. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Drinks were flowing and the sashimi was non-stop. Nigiri and handrolls were also delicious and I ate until I was close to puking. It was super cool to be able to cut into the fresh fish from Mexico. It's definitely tougher than it looks. I always thought it would be easy to cut like butter, but definitely takes a lot of strength and skill. There were other tasty tuna dishes like the miso soup, salad and crispy tuna steak. I recommend sitting at the bar so you can see Chef Yamasaki cut the fish in the front row seats. It was cool to taste the varying levels of fatness of the fish. The super chutoro was practically butter. They also offered tuna to go at $50/lb. Definitely worth it. The venue is their regular restaurant but with more tables in the middle. A little loud but definitely a fun time. There were 3 birthdays too! We had ice cream mochi for dessert and there were strawberry cakes for the birthday girls. We averaged about $170 after tip and it was worth every penny.

The entire meal lasted 2.5 hours, and that was only because we ended it early and asked for the check. We ordered the Omakase Yamasaki for $69, and everything we received was amazing. The salad to start was great, and the fish was prepared perfectly. However, the pacing really took away from the experience. I'm not sure if they were understaffed, but the service was so slow that by the end we were exhausted and didn't even want to finish the meal. We also mentioned that my friend has a shellfish allergy, but a crab hand roll was still brought out. While it was very delicious, my friend couldn't eat it, and we chose to leave without a replacement because it would have taken another 20 minutes. The food was memorable, but the service and timing need improvement for the experience to match the quality of the food.

With tax ($17.71), our ticket was $209.16 before gratuity. The NOLA Grilled Oysters come sizzling on a hot griddle, with four different fillings, four pieces each, for a total of 16 oysters. The price might seem a bit indulgent, but not if you consider the effort and ingredients that go into this presentation. Each type was flavorful, and there wasn't a single one I didn't enjoy. The salted fish fried rice was an interesting experience. I enjoyed the dish, though the salted fish was less salty than I expected. Someone in our group, who usually doesn't like salted fish fried rice because they find it too salty, actually liked this version for its milder flavor. The plate also includes four large shrimp. The shaken beef was tasty and tender; the garlic noodles were al dente and had just enough garlic--not excessive. The sautéed garlic added a smoky, nutty taste to the bok choy. The quail was marinated well and tasted good--but I wonder if it was fried just a bit too long. After this meal, I chatted with a friend who lives in the community. He'd been to this spot before but dismissed it as just another seafood boil joint. After our conversation, though, he said he'd be willing to give it another shot. I guess your impression of this restaurant depends, at least in part, on what you order. The service, by the way, was excellent. Have been to this restaurant many times, and food is always consistent! Came visit to the restaurant last week, and ordered my favorite Grilled Escargot with Garlic Butter and Peppercorn, Grilled Scallops with Cheese, and my all-time favorite Chilean Sea Bass hot pot! The grilled escargots are a must-have when visiting this place! These are perfectly grilled with rich garlic butter for sweetness, and with a slight kick of spiciness from the peppercorn. Don't forget to also dip the escargot meat with black pepper and a few squeeze of fresh lime juice! If you like melted cheese, then the grilled scallops with cheese would be the perfect match. Each scallop is covered melted cheese and comes sizzling on a hot plate when ordered! Last but certainly not least, my favorite dish of this restaurant is the Chilean Sea Bass hot pot. The order comes with your own tabletop gas stove, along with a hot pot filled with a tom yum like sour soup base. For ingredients, it also includes a plate with slices of pineapple, quarter cut fresh tomato slices, fresh bean sprouts, rice noodles, and a full plate of large pieces of Chilean Sea Bass. We also had the deep-fried tilapia, which was cooked perfectly--crispy on the outside. It's hard to go wrong with anything deep-fried here. Overall, the razor clams and deep-fried tilapia were the highlights of our meal. If you're willing to wait for a table, this is a good spot for fresh seafood with a few standout dishe

You don't need to fly to the East Coast to get a legit lobster roll. This place nailed it…read more We tried the Clobster roll which is a mix of crab and lobster, the Cali truffle roll, lobster bisque, clam chowder, lobster pasta, and the lobster mac and cheese. Washed it all down with their fresh bottled lemonade in strawberry and regular. First thing, the bread. So good. It honestly tastes like it's baked fresh daily and that alone makes a difference. Second, they are not stingy with the lobster. Every bite actually has lobster in it, not just filler. Everything was rich, fresh, and super satisfying. The bisque and chowder were the perfect add ons and the pasta and mac and cheese just took it over the top. The vibe is really cute too. It gives under the sea meets Fisherman's Wharf. Easy location, friendly staff, and they even have coloring contests for kids which is such a nice touch. Highly recommend if you're craving a solid lobster roll without leaving Orange County. We'll definitely be back.

Service was good and there's a decent amount of seating inside with cute little marine themed decor. Lobster roll combo with the soup ($32) - I got the Maine style (cold) lobster roll which had really good flavor and the amount of lobster was really nice. I wish they pushed the lobster down into the roll a little more instead of stacking it on top to make it look fuller because it made it a lot harder to eat. The side salad was okay. I liked the clam chowder a lot. Fries and tater tots were perfectly crispy! Flaming hot lobster fries ($25): This feels a bit overpriced for what it is and kind of lackluster. Fries were good and crispy but the cheese wasn't melted well. Lobster is thrown on there and I think it would be better with cheeto dust versus the random cheetos thrown on top. Fish tacos ($15): You get three tacos which is decent pricing. The fish was crispy and flavor is basic but good. All in all, a good spot to get your lobster roll fix without having to drive too far!
