I ate here Friday night with the BF. The atmosphere is very comfortable. It's more on the nicer side of casual, but does not feel stuffy at all. The food is very good, but VERY rich. I personally eat pretty healthy so the richness of all the food made me feel a little queasy afterward. The bacon wrapped dates are absolutely amazing, and the southern fries are very good (esp. with the bacon dip). Everything we tried was loaded with flavor, but after three courses you start to feel a little overwhelmed by the richness of everything. The service was okay, We were greeted right away, but after we ordered our drinks the waiter didn't come back for almost 20 minutes. The food came out very fast which was great because the wait time for our server to check up on us was so long. We sat there for over 10 minutes just waiting for him to bring us the check after we asked for it. Maybe the other servers are more attentive. read more

One of my favorite hidden gems in Huntington! The food is so good - make sure to check out the specials. The cheap dates are a must try. The charcuterie board was really impressive and came with a LOT of good stuff. I think a lot of places tend to skimp on meats and cheeses but this board was loaded. My favorite entree is the short ribs but they changed the veggies so you don't get the full carrots/broccolini anymore, it's just sliced carrots and squash. My boyfriend got the prosciutto wrapped halibut and it was cooked perfectly. We both had leftovers to take home. If you're going to get dessert, get the banana cream pie!! Finally made it here with my husband for a mid week date night this week. Overall, loved it! Our cocktails were really really good. My husband got the whiskey sour and I got the featured vodka cocktail. We shared the following: chop chop salad, house fries, beets and crab cakes. ALL so good. Only came here for the deconstructed banana cream pie. This comes with 2 types of bananas: bananas folded into the vanilla pudding as well as caramelized bananas. The caramelized bananas added great texture. Additionally, the whipped cream along with the caramel topping added a nice refreshing feeling to the pudding. The vanilla pudding was good, though I wish it had more vanilla extract to give it more flavor, as the bananas were very sweet and could overwhelm the vanilla spice. It makes me curious if it could be better had they used banana custard over pudding. The cracker crust made this dish. It tasted like a butter cookie with some seasalt. This really got your taste buds to open up while cutting down a bit on the sweetness. This is probably the only part of the dish that I can't emulate myself. I'd been wanting to try this spot for months, and I wasn't disappointed, but I also wasn't blown away. Although our waitress was attentive and friendly, they seemed to be incredibly understaffed. We witnessed many people come in and look around wondering if it was seat yourself. They'd wander in and look around for someone to ask. We even saw a family come in, sit down, then get up to leave when nobody showed to see how they were doing. The staff that were working were running around doing other things and helping customers, so actively working. Not sure if this was just an understaffed night or if the restaurant should consider hiring more staff. Onto the food! We had a party of six, mostly light eaters, so we just ordered wine, small plates and dessert. The dates were a hit (we ordered two), my favorite, the meatballs were spicy, the chicken salad tostadas were delicious, the crab dip (I think) was the only plate that went uneaten, and the fries were pretty standard. This was plenty of food for my family, but some people don't like eating this way. For dessert were tried one of everything except a coffee tart. We had a cheesecake with tequila caramel sauce (amazing), the red velvet mug cupcake (good), and the deconstructed bananas foster (my mom's favorite). The desserts change, and the menu may too, but I think some of these desserts are pretty common. Overall, I probably won't come here for dinner again, but I think it's a great spot for wine or beer (doesn't have a full bar) and light bites with girlfriends. read more

I was not disappointed. The beets were cooked PERfectly - so tender and benign. There was a nice dressing and bits of greens and tasty goat cheese. The salad was also a hit. The albacore tuna was pan seared and slightly spicy. Nice dressing and greens. We topped the meal off with the red velvet cupcake that Susie ordered. I had a few bites and thought it was worth the extra calories though I probably wouldn't order it again. But Susie really really liked it, so give it a whirl. I had already eaten (my friend's mom forced fed me awesome food) so I decided to tag along just to check the place out. My friend and I wanted dessert so we ordered the tres leches cake, red velvet cupcake and the five chocolate truffles. Our other friend had ordered a few plates so I tried a little of each and overall, the food was pretty good and the place itself is realy awesome (from dinning room decor to their bathrooms). The tres leches cake was kind of "dry". I use " " because tres leches cake is suppose to be soaked in milk liquids and their cake was moist but not wet, like the cakes I've had in the past from other places. The red velvet cake on the other hand was yummy on top but soggy on the bottom. I tried to finish it because I hate wasting dessert but eh, I came to terms with letting that one go. I was really excited for the chocolate truffles but was disappointed when I found out they were all the same truffles, just different toppings. Blah. Still, it was good to try. Ahi Tuna Poke - sashimi grade . crispy eggplant chips - good but kind of bland...it needed a little something in it for a kick of flavor but it fell short. Cheap Date - bacon wrapped dates . arugula . mascarpone - SOOOO good! It was definitely my favorite. I've had this dish at other places and the dates are usually too sweet or the cheese it too strong but man, they got everything right here. Everything we ordered was delicious: -cheap date (bacon wrapped dates) -southern fries (sweet potato fries with bacon aioli) -parma proscutto flatbread -winemaker burger (the cab reduction is EXCELLENT) -grilled shrimp noodles All the flavors were perfect. Food came out relatively quickly. The wine I got was just ok (a malbec), my friend liked her pino gris pretty well, and my fiance liked his IPA beer (nothing special). Dessert: tres leches cake and the banana cream pie. mmm mmm interesting presentation and yummy, but not quite as good as the food. i really liked the decor--an eclectic mix of (too big) basket lamp shades; high top stools and bar tables and a long communal red table that's screend off; hipster signs like a big "eat your vegetables" one; and tvs over the bar area. only had a short 20 min wait around 7 on a fri night, so not bad. will def come back! read more

The food here is ahhhmazing!! We had the Stooopid fries...pretty hot! Not much flavor, but still fun to try! My bf and I shared the steak sandwich that comes with a Rosemary au jus, so freakin tasty! We also ordered the "I love fish tacos" largest fish tacos I've ever seen! And you get 3, unbelievably tasty!! Our server was so awesome and knowledgable! There have been many management & staff changes at Red Table since it first opened, but they always seem to get good people (we do miss Tiffany though!). The food is still great, and one awesome addition to the dessert menu is the cheesecake! They change up the flavor, toppings & crust often (my favorite was the pumpkin!), but it is always delicious! They also have a great happy hour now. Try the Papas Pumba, but be forewarned; they are addictive! read more

I tried it myself and I hate when restaurants serve kids boxed Mac (Stacked) as if I want to pay for something I could make myself for a heck of a lot cheaper. This is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. After enjoying several great meals with friends I decided to host a couple of wine and food pairing events. Donna, the incredible manager, created a magical time. We not only got to enjoy amazing wines paired with the most delicious food, she also created an interactive blind tasting that got everyone at the table involved in trying to guess what wine was in their glass. Kudos to Sandy, the owner and Donna for creating such a wonderful space to enjoy craft cocktails, inventive food and a staff that can't be beat. We live within blocks of here so my wife and I decided to go here last Saturday and see if this will be our new go to local spot. When you first arrive you are greeted at the front door by a hostess who hands you a menu then informs you to walk to the opposite end of the establishment to place your order, then you will receive a number and you will have to find your own table. Also they hold your credit card at the register if you are thinking about ordering more wine or more small plates. We were not impressed with this and was very disappointed with this type of system especially for the atmosphere this place has. It is confusing for those who first try this place and you could see the confusion on other patrons faces when they walk through the door for the first time. Note to the management, please get rid of the ordering at a register. You need regular servers that know about the dishes you serve and have them take orders at the table like a regular restaurant and unlike McDonalds. We started off with the Ahi Poke with the Deep Fried Eggplant and also the Bacon Wrapped Dates. Both were good. My wife ordered the special Chile Relleno stuffed with lamb meat and cheese and I had the Short Ribs for our entrees. They were both good in flavor and the portions were nice size. What lacked was the service. Young servers passed by us constantly without filling our glasses of water or to make sure our food was alright and if anything else is needed. When we were finished with our meal, our empty plates sat in front of us for 10 - 15 minutes before they were taken away. We really wanted to give this place higher marks as the food is good, but the service and way you order food is yet to be desired. We will probably wait a few months to return and see if this place has improved and changed it's way of ordering food. read more

I was overjoyed when I found out a new restaurant was opening just a stone's throw from my house. This shopping center has been underutilized, so I wasn't surprised to find the restaurant packed just about every night the first few weeks it was open (let's face it House of Brews doesn't really stack up competitively). The service style is a little unusual. Sort of a cafeteria-style/traditional wait staff hybrid. When you place your order at the register, you have the option of leaving a tab open. So, if you have the urge to order additional dishes, you can place another order with the server at your table and have them tack it to your bill. I'm not sure if it's the move efficient set up. A friend that placed an order for dinner and dessert at the register received dessert first. The dish was meant to be served warm, so it had to be sent back. When they were finally ready to eat their post-dinner treat, they had trouble getting what they ordered from any of the servers/bussers/hosts/whatever you want to call thems that were scurrying around the restaurant. Had it not been their opening week, the four star rating you see above would have been knocked down to three. We were carded twice at the bar; the second time by the manager. When we explained that the bartender on duty checked our ID's just a few minutes prior, the manager made a pretentious remark about it being his restaurant. The rest of the staff had a bit of an attitude too, but it might have been nerves. I'll cut them some slack this time. Red Table's saving grace: their food. The Winemaker Burger was cooked to order. When we asked for medium, we got medium. Pretty novel, right? The Samurai Fries were a nice change of pace although the wasabi mayo wasn't very wasabi-ish. Finally...bacon wrapped dates, where have you been all my life. The cleverly titled Cheap Date dish is served with a dollop of marscapone cheese. To put it simply, they rocked my socks. read more

I'm SUPER impressed... came here for my birthday dinner with my man and his parents, and we ordered 8 or 9 appetizers and entrees and shared them all. I won't even bother listing them- they were all so excellent and well put-together that it brings me to the consensus that Red Table can do no wrong. Ev-er-ry-thing was ridiculously delicious and well thought out; fresh, seasonal, vibrant and very original without being silly. Most of the things on this menu I had never seen at another restaurant. Deviled eggs? Curry fries? Lobster mac n cheese? (Like a party in your mouth, by the way). May I say three little words... RED TABLE CUPCAKE. Holy guacamole... possibly the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. Red velvet cake, cream cheese, fresh whipped cream, and maybe even a pinch of magic as far as I'm concerned. Chef Louie is my hero.... are you a wizard by chance? I think you are... Best part: SO not expensive for the quality and deliciousness of the food. We ate and drank ourselves silly for a very, very reasonable price. I don't know what everybody is talking about when they complain about the weird ordering system?? Love this place! I went there for a business lunch and the turkey sandwich was suggested by a business associate. I would never have selected it off the menu myself but I always like to try something if it's recommended. It was AMAZING!! It came with an au jous that was so flavorful and the sandwich itself melted in my mouth. They also brought out sweet potato friends and spicy pickles that were delicious. Just when I thought we were done they ordered a red velvet cupcake dessert. I'm not usually a dessert person but this was mind blowingly good. It was served hot with ice cream and shaved chocolate and was definitely big enough to share. The same goes for the turkey sandwich, if you don't mind sharing it can easily be split for 2.
