I ordered to go: 2 dinners and one order of fried dumplings. We had to pay extra($3.00) to get fried rice which basically looked like the white rice with a squirt of Soy sauce and a few peas and carrots. General Tao's was just sweet and no flavor and the Red Wok combination barely had any meat and the shrimp were dry, again not any flavor whatsoever. The meal cost us $48.00, if I was to order from our normal restaurant this would have cost half the price with outstanding flavor and food. (Normal restaurant was closed this day) We tried it since I did see good reviews on Facebook but sadly the people who reviewed really do not know Chinese Cuisine. We will not be back. read more

The wife and I tried this place tonight for the first time. We had Vietnamese egg rolls, egg rolls, 2 wonton soups, beef and broccoli, shaking beef. Our drinks were 1 Pino Grigio and unsweet tea. Our bill was $71. The shaking beef was the best tasting we had. It is worth the wait. I wouldn't order any other entrees when ordering the shaking beef. The beef and broccoli came out Luke warm at best and the shaking beef was hot. I have never had oriental food that was Luke warm. The other items tasted like any one else. Except for the wonton in the soup. You can tell the dough was made thinner than any other place we have eaten at. There was only one server working. I really hope she gets some help soon. Its okay, overpriced very much. The food is definitely watered down taste wise like they thought it had too much flavor for retired white people so they made it bland. They use 3 veggies in everything. Charge $15 for an average size entre but barely any protein in it. It fits the definition of "its ok". Just tried this little place in Vero for the first time yesterday. It was good! Very clean place, plenty of tables for dine in. Lunch specials were reasonable: I had the sesame chicken and my husband ordered the sweet and sour chicken. OK, I know, snobby people, it's not "real" exotic, Chinese food, but it's tasty Americanized Chinese food like what we had up north, which hit the spot. Great food! We did carryout for my sister-in-law's birthday lunch. She's in a nursing home and never gets chinese food so it as a treat. We hadn't expected much, but were pleasantly surprised. The best step up for Asian cuisine in Vero. For a city that has little to no Chinese restaurants this place delivers the best of chinese and Vietnamese food in town. The owners are very friendly and generally appreciative for your patronage. We have gone here twice. The first time we got take out. I don't have pics for that trip. The duck was exquisite. The second time we ate in. Let me again give the owners a lot of love and grace. They just opened recently and are getting staff together. I've heard ignorant people complain about the wait times. Give them a break. Now the food! My girlfriend got the Vietnamese shrimp rolls. I got egg rolls which were both amazing., the steamed dumplings were phenomenal! We both ordered the Pho. Being "Foodies" who plan vacations around food, Red Wok is the best Chinese restaurant I've eaten at in the past 12 years (we've tried hundreds). To test it out, my wife and I visited many times, ordering different dishes and even requesting changes (I.e. asking for white onions mixed with the green, trying different heat levels, asking for items not on the menu, etc). They always came through in amazing fashion. They have a master chef who has specifically studied perfecting Asian sauces for decades. So you're not getting the same sauce on every dish, but flavors intended for the specific dish. Their experience in the Asian restaurant business shows. I'm surprised to find such a treasure in the Treasure Coast! Not just highly recommended, but I'd plan a trip to Vero Beach, FL to eat at Red Wok. read more
