Brian and Paul did a fantastic job on the carpets in my rental house! They carpets are probably close to ten years old and, thanks to Esteam, they look brand new and are very soft to walk on. When Alan arrived and inspected the carpeted areas to be cleaned, there was an initial confusion about the price quoted verses what the actual price should be. Alan went into a lot of explanation about why the carpet cleaning should be more expensive than quoted but in the end, after making a phone call (that he doubted would change anything) stayed with the same price. This was a little irritating to the consumer (me). That said, the carpets and the 2 chairs came out really nice, Alan was courteous and professional and I am very satisfied. I asked if the price now paid would be the same a year from now (since it had seemed they possibly misquoted) and I was assured it would be the same. I feeling like the prices quoted are many 'soft'? not sure. After I posted the above, one of the owners called back to apologize and clear up any miscommunication, She was the one who took the order on the phone and she took full responsibility for any confusion caused, which thoroughly impressed me. I was also impressed that this company is very thorough and wants to do a good job. I explained I was the type of customer that just wanted a basic clean and nothing complicated. Lou came out and did a fine job on my living room fine area rug, my dining room wool area rug, and a very stained hallway rug! All came out great. The hallway still has some remaining stain, but after a few dogs, a couple of pups after that, I really didn't expect a miracle! It's still much cleaner than before! Very professional and neat! California Steam Clean BEWARE!!! We were originally referred to California Steam Clean by our Realestate agent. They told us that Allan Cheifo was the go to guy but Instead we were sent a guy named Pedro for the estimate on our new dream home in Occidental. We were quoted more than the average going rate but were told that they were fast and did quality work, which we were willing to pay for. A couple days later and they began work. Upon finishing I came to inspect the project and immediately took notice to the shoddy work. We had them patch a 3'x3' hole in the sheet rock closing an access panel. The 'patch' stuck out approximately 2" at the bottom instead of being flush. I immediately contacted Pedro and he gave me attitude asking for pictures. I sent him pictures and he immediately said he'd have it fixed. A week goes by and 2 granite tiles on our fireplace mantle that were 2" away from the patch project and used as a resting place for their tools, just happen to pop off and fall to the ground. I contacted Pedro about it and he was angry and in denial. He told me that they were improperly attached to begin with so being that I can reattach them myself I let it go. The next day I contacted Pedro about having some other work done at our other home in Sebastopol. We weren't fully moved out yet but we needed some work done in getting the house set up for rent. Pedros crew came in and painted, cleaned and did some more patch work and a laminate tile along with some kickboard replacement. Pedro's crew fixed everything and upon me inspecting the work noticed that someone from his crew used a knife to cut through a taped on funnel on the top of my glass water bottle that was half full of change in my living room and removed around $300 to $400 worth of change. When I reached out to Pedro about it he instantly got angry again denied it. I sent him pics of the jar before and after and he still denied it. He eventually said that he would ask his crew. Pedro called me back and said he asked his crew. He said they laughed and said that they merely "danced with the bottle of change" which is hysterical because its a glass jar and weighs about $65 pounds and if you were able to lift it the glass would shatter. Pedro said he would make it right so I was willing to let it slide. Then as I was packing I went inside my camp trailer to prepare it for relocation. I immediately noticed items missing that I had in it. I had some new custom blinds that I had purchased still in the packaging tube. They were gone. When I reached out again to Pedro he again was livid. After telling him that I was certain they were missing he reluctantly said he'd speak with his crew. When he got back to me he literally said to me that his crew laughed and that they said that they only went inside of my camper to check it out!!! Why would ANYONE go inside of someone else's property when it has nothing to do with the project that they were there to do?! He said nobody in his crew would take anything... which is funny because if they were honest people they wouldn't of even thought about doing anything other than their job and especially not look into other people's belongings. Pedro denied it and unfortunately we had already cut him a check for the work. 3-4 weeks later at our new house we unboxed every box and noticed that we were missing other items. We are missing our Netgear modem WiFi router combo which runs for $280 AND my brand new Optima Battery charger which was $200. There is no mistake that these things were taken. Along with the money out of our savings jar. Once again after reaching out to Pedro his crappy, unprofessional attitude was apparent. I will now be contacting the police Dept and filing a report. After that I will be notifying the BBB as well as filing a claim on his bond. read more

I have Esteam Carpet and Tile Care clean two sofas, one chair and ottoman, and carpets in two of my bedrooms. Although they were not able to get a few stains out of my sofas they did a great job! Paul was super friendly and educated me on the specific type of carpet (Olefin) I had and that I may see wear patterns show up. Apparently the Olefin doesn't bounce back at some point of wear. I did tell them there were a few spots that I had tried to get out and I was told if they show up again to give them a call. Great job guys!!!! read more
