I emailed this company and Sue, who I believe is the owner, emailed me back. I don't live in the area but I'm heading to Loma Linda soon for my Mom's knee surgery, and taking my dog with me. I needed a dog sitter for one day, so I checked doggie daycare's in Loma Linda and Redlands. This place came up with good reviews, so I emailed them. This is what Sue wrote back.... "Hi Rita, thank you for your inquiry. Due to our registration process that requires you to come for tour and your dog to do a full tryout day prior to boarding, we cannot accept clients from out of the Redlands area so we would not be able to accommodate you. Thank you so much." It doesn't say ANYWHERE on their website they only accept animals from the "Redlands" area. (I even told her that in the email, so watch she update her website). I also told Sue we could be there the day before for the tour, paperwork, etc. just like she said, but she still said NO. If you don't live in the area, don't even bother to check this place out. Big time discrimination just because we don't live in the area. I'd rather give my money to a place that accepts EVERY animal, no matter where they come from. read more

BEWARE: DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. I brought my pup here for 9 days for a trip I was leaving to. I did a trial run with the ranch and it went great -- I was given constant updates of his stay. When it came time for the extended stay, I didn't hear from them for a few days. I contacted the owner for an update on my dog. She said everything was great and there were NO issues. When I got my dog back, he had multiple abrasions, dried blood all over his nose, and he had a puncture wound/ bite mark in his leg that was actively bothering him. It had began the healing process but was red and puffy. Now I understand dogs get rough with one another while they play, my issue was I was never informed of my dog being bitten. I texted the owner with a picture inquiring what had happened. She responded she didn't know. She said "someone had been out there watching him the day before". He was there for 9 days -- this did not happen the day before. This is unacceptable. I was promised my dog would be monitored at all times and I trusted them to update me if there were any issues or injuries. I told the owner it was bothering him and I did not receive a response and I haven't heard from her since. Within an hour or so being home, my dog began vomiting. He was pacing, crying, and vomiting for over 24 hours. The vomiting for over 24 hours eventually led to an emergency vet clinic visit. $600 ER visit later..my dog is finally feeling better. The ER vet stated he had unknown inflammation in his stomach causing him to throw up and feel extremely nauseous. They stated it could have been to extreme stress while at the ranch or perhaps being attacked by another dog. Please proceed with caution before dropping your dog off at this facility. read more

Arriving on Daycare Day my very Happy Social 70 lb Labradoodle would NOT get out of the car no matter how hard I pulled on his leash and he was trembling from head to toe , with a very specific low, deep growl at the man coming out of the gate to greet me which shocked & horrified me to say the least. I Tried getting some kind of explanation from staff but was brushed aside saying oh he probably is just anxious, say what!!!???? which was not the case at all. Not sure who this business is employing but I have reason to believe they have staff who drive while intoxicated. A person driving one of their vans cut me off and then went back and forth between driving below the speed limit and 10-15 miles over the speed limit. For the next 10 miles the driver drove like that. At one point he put his signal on and came to a dead stop for about 30 seconds and then took off at a high rate of speed. If this is how their employees drive in a company van I can only imagine how poorly they treat their animals. read more

I initiated text communication as requested by their website. The person responded with one or two responses which I found unprofessional. I was peeved with their delay in response time and finally asked if there was availability for times my vacation time. Finally there was a 1-2 word response. I asked what they needed from me and stated I was stopping by their facility. All of the sudden...they remember they were having their floors done. We were nervous to send our sweet Vizsla to daycare because we are a bit overprotective. But anyone who knows Vizsla's know they need lots of exercise! So we decided to give Redlands Rover Ranch a try. After a full day of fun, they brought her back and she immediately went to her bed and slept the rest of the evening and through the night. It was amazing! We also boarded her there when our human baby was born. It was a very last minute arrangement, but Sue was kind of enough to take her that morning for a couple days. Some cool things we like about Rover Ranch is that they pick up and drop off, communicate really well, and even post pictures and videos for you on the Redlands Rover Ranch Facebook group page. Great! They pick your dog up in their van and bring them to a cage free environment all day. At night they are crated and then let out in the AM. I got text messaged videos of my dog Buddy so it made me trust them and his environment. He even came back a new dog. Since they don't tolerate bad behaviors he came back and was no longer nipping. So Instead of coming back a wild and crazy dog, they come back more submissive and controllable. read more

I haven't been to RRR in over a year. I declined writing a negative review back then, because I gave them the benefit of the doubt--maybe I just had an unusual experience. But after reading Jaimee S's review about her dog being injured just a couple of months ago, with RRR not taking responsibility or even acknowledging the injury, it seems that the issue is still ongoing. We boarded our dog for about a week, and picked her up a day early. A day later, I noticed puncture wounds on her face and foot. When I called about it, I was basically chided for picking her up ahead of schedule. I pointed out that they had a chance to call me and tell me of the injuries, but they didn't do that. I was then told that maybe RRR "wasn't a good fit" for me. At least we agreed on that. And like Jaimee S said, dogs can play rough, and I get that. But for RRR to say nothing, and hope the owner doesn't notice, then give the owner grief when they try to address the issue, is worrisome. read more

Rover Ranch has been an amazing stress relief when it comes to the care of our puppy Moose. We have boarded her with Rover Ranch since she was 4 months old ( their youngest acceptable age for a puppy) and have not been disappointed. She seems to love the people there, running to greet them whenever they pick her up, and is so blissfully depleted of all her anxious puppy energy when she is back home. They have been very accommodating when it comes to last minute boarding and grooming needs for our Moose, always allowing her to stay, even longer than the original requested time. All in all we are extremely happy and appreciative of the service and care Rover Ranch provides and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a safe, reliable boarder. read more

This place is like Doggy Disneyland! Forget about caging up your dog. That's a terrible way to board. They need space to roam free! Especially high energy breeds. Rover Ranch has the right idea. Staff has been great, although communication initially was sparse one word responses. You will see other 1 star reviews on here complaining about that, and I do think that's something that can be worked on. But when it comes to my dogs, they'll have it no other way. read more

We checked into several daycare options before settling on the Redlands Rover Ranch. What we love about RRR is that our dog gets to play all day long instead of being home alone. She is always excited to be dropped off there and she comes home "dog tired" and sleeps the whole rest of the evening and all night. I had a tour of the facility before her first visit and was impressed with the staff and the property. They have a nice set up for dogs to be separated by personality and energy level. Fabulous! Best service ever for my dogs. Sue has helped me with a variety if training topics. She is extremely educated and made huge improvements to my, an my dogs, quality of life by addressing training needs that I didn't know how to handle; and in as few as 3 sessions! My pit bull mix was excessively animal aggressive and after 2 sessions at home Esther is now a regular at RRR and I was able to bring a second dog home to our pack. Sue is trustworthy, runs an excellent business, and is a life saver when I have to go out of town. My dogs are beside themselves when they see her or her van! read more

Rover Ranch is amazing! I have a Boston terrier that needs lots of exercise and stimulation and I love that I can send him here knowing he will be well taken care of and totally tuckered out by the end of the day. Not only is it daycare, they also require the dogs to be well behaved and teach them good manners which I love. The pick up/drop off service makes it even more convenient, they have always coordinated with my crazy schedule, such a luxury! Also, if he needs a bath he can get one while he's there, nothing better than a tired, clean dog:) I've been sending my fur baby here for a little over a year and have always been satisfied with the service. read more

I wish I could give this place 100 stars. Rover Ranch is amazing. My cat stayed with them at the Kitty Casita for about two weeks. She came home happy and healthy. The facilities for cats are amazing. To be honest, I am surprised my cat wanted to come back home. The Kitty Casita is divided into two rooms- one air conditioned surrounded with windows and one that is a modified screen porch. Cats can freely go between the rooms. The owner was great and dealt with my concerns like a pro. I was even pleased with the cost. I would board my cat with Rover Ranch any day, without a worry about my pets well being. read more

We just love this place. Our dog stayed at another boarding facility in town and was in a kennel all day. This place is cage free!!! It is also convenient to have them pick up and drop off. I'm retired and care for my grand dog when my daughter travels and was instructed by her to use RR when i have the need. Yesterday I sent my grand to RR for day care and was highly disappointed with the way she (Sue) interacted with, first of all me, and next with my grand dog! having met her before I assume she had a bad day - everyone has them! Second encounter, I assumed she had an unpleasant personality - apparently so! But to be as inconsider and rude as she was yesterday is unexcusable. it started with a late pickup that I received a text about just before requested pickup time. Then her lack of greeting and dour response to mine, was bad enough, but her same dour (unfriendly) attitude wth a dog - ??? Next, he was scheduled for a 6 pm drop off. As I wasn't closely watching the time, I noted it was 6:45 and called her very concerned. In her dour manner she simply said she was finishing another area and would be in my area next. no apology for my worry, no explanation of no call or text to inform me - NOTHING! Lastly, when she arrived well after 7 pm (good thing I didnt have any plans) She was very annoyed by my dogs excited barking to be home and getting out of a crate - he's use to a seat belt. The first thing said to me after telling the dog in a very frustrated manner to be quiet was to ask me if I had a bark collar because he is "very annoying to all of us." That's it!!! No apology, explanation, farewell to the dog or myself i wouldn't recommend her to care for my goldfish!!! Dogs response to love and barking can be annoying - but REALLY! read more

I can't stop telling people about this place. No long, crowded runs with constant barking; all free play but separated if your dog has anxieties about socializing. They are not crowded, someone always with the dogs. They pick up and drop off your pet; how convenient can that be. Our terrier has had a couple two week stays and when Sue drops her off, she wants to go back with her! This area has needed a place like this for along time; we're so glad they've arrived! read more

I didn't have the opportunity to take my pups to Redlands Rover Ranch due to the awful customer service and communication that the staff displays. I reached out to them using text- which is meant to be their fastest means of communication, over a week in advance for daycare and boarding. On the first occasion, they were booked up for the night that I had requested. On the second occasion, I simply did not receive a reply. I text again two days later just to hear that they were booked up again. The response said that they are "always busy and normally booked up". When I asked why I didn't receive a response from them earlier, the answer was that they do not have a dedicated team to respond to customers. Well were they booked up two days earlier when I had reached out to them? Who knows. I felt as if I reached out with ample time in order to have my dogs watched by them. I won't be contacting them again due to their horrible customer service and lag in communication. read more
