I completely understand and appreciate friendly conversation (it's part of the Dutch Bros charm), but there has to be a balance. When there's a long line of people--many likely on their way to work--waiting that long for a single order just shouldn't happen. After sitting in the drive-thru for a while, I ended up switching it up and ordering ahead instead--and that experience was night and day. Much faster, smoother, and honestly what I'd recommend if you're in a hurry. Overall, this is still one of my go-to spots. The drinks are consistently great, the staff are awesome, and it's a fantastic location to have in Renton. Today felt more like an exception than the rule, but hopefully it's something they tighten up--because when they're on, they're really on.

Since moving to Washington a few months ago, this has become my go-to location. The customer service here is always friendly and upbeat, and my drinks are usually made exactly how I like them. I also use the Dutch Bros app pretty often for rewards, sticker drops, and bonus point events, and this location usually still has the promotional items available if you come within the first few hours. The main downside is that this location gets BUSY very often so long lines are expected, but still doesn't offer mobile ordering ahead, which feels a little outdated.. The employees usually walk down the line to take orders early when the drive-thru gets long, but the wait can still be around 15-20 minutes from start to finish during peak times. Even walking up to order can take a while because there always seems to be a line. There was also one visit where my order somehow didn't go through in the system after an employee took it outside, so by the time I got to the window they hadn't started making it yet. I felt a little bad that I was holding up the line but thankfully, I wasn't rushing anywhere that day. The staff owned up to their mistake though and were very apologetic and handled it well by adding 2 free drinks to my app rewards account as compensation. I will say this last weekend I felt bad for her. Saturday the manager was with her (manager), the energy i felt from her was that of irritation, anger and not wanting to be there. I asked mary who that was she stated it was her manager. Sunday she was working with a new barista i have not seen, I will say that the other barista needs alot of help. She look confused, scared, and I could tell the customers on her side were not happy. She is someone who should not be in a customer facing position, or where speed is required, I believe her name was (skyler) The baristas i know that work there from before some have worked with her on weekends the team i would love to see each time on a sat and sun is Maddie and Mary. They work so great together, as well as a couple others. I love Mary, every time me and my dog come through she is always happy, fast amd accurate. She can make my drink and the other windows drink with ease. I stopped going to this stand due to the other baristas, but about 1 month ago I decided to try it again, and I found 1 of the best baristas. I will only go when she is working. She alwaysmakes sure to ask me how i am doing and how my day is, if im doung anythingfor the weekend, sometimes starts her shift at 2am and still has a smile an always happy, and talkative to me. We are regulars to this specific location, so it was great to see someone we knew working there and making us feel comfortable during our drive-thru ordering experience. The other Barista made the drink for me, but it tasted great! Always like getting drinks from BigFoot Java!
