They make you feel like more than just another car in line. And the drinks? Always on point. The Tropical Green Tea is incredibly refreshing, especially when you cut back on the sugar or even go no sugar--it still has great flavor without being overpowering. Same with the Golden Eagle Blended Freeze--it's rich, smooth, and surprisingly enjoyable even at half sweetness. They really do a great job customizing drinks without sacrificing quality. That said, today was a bit frustrating. One car ahead seemed to take an unusually long time--around 15-20 minutes--which caused the entire line to stall. I completely understand and appreciate friendly conversation (it's part of the Dutch Bros charm), but there has to be a balance. When there's a long line of people--many likely on their way to work--waiting that long for a single order just shouldn't happen. After sitting in the drive-thru for a while, I ended up switching it up and ordering ahead instead--and that experience was night and day. Much faster, smoother, and honestly what I'd recommend if you're in a hurry. Overall, this is still one of my go-to spots. Mobile ordering ahead is key! Whenever I've gone to this location, the driver thru line always wraps around the building. Their drinks are tasty and service is quick when ordering online. I got their limited time drink dark chocolate mocha with cherry soft top. I love that they use chocolate milk for it and cherry soft top added some sweetness to balance with the coffee. Growing up in Oregon, Dutch Bros was the "king" of coffee shacks across the state (although I still prefer the smaller more rustic style shacks), and has built themselves to be quite the empire for this business model. Although I didn't get drinks from them a whole lot, everyone around me was always obsessed. But moving to Seattle years ago, there wasn't a whole lot around and I'd have to leave the city to find Dutch. The Renton location was the nearest for me, and I had this awesome birthday reward where you can get any drink from them of any size within a month after your birthday, so of course I gotta get on that! I've always seen a long line here, but I had to bear with it since it was going to be a free drink anyways. There will be staff that go to your car and get your order so that you don't have to wait to get to the front. There's a stereotype about Dutch Bro workers being super friendly, and that always has been the case whenever I go. Great guy that I talked to, and was able to help me figure out how to claim the drink. While matcha is obviously not the drink you would get from here, and I truly only trust matcha made from actual matcha cafes, I went ahead and ordered the large Lavender Matcha drink since it was my first time seeing a whole selection for matcha here. My verdict? It was actually pretty good! It was a fragrant drink where you can smell and taste both the lavender and matcha. The matcha isn't the most powerful taste, but it's more so a nice blend of flavors that complemented each other. While this isn't the type of place I would drive all the way out of the city for, it's a nice place to stop by when I'm in the area. During that time, several people walked in, ordered at the counter, and got their drinks before us. When my husband asked about our order, 15 minutes after the promised pickup time, the staff member had to scroll through the system to even find it. She said it would be a bit longer because there were "orders ahead of ours," even though everyone in the shop had arrived long after we did. Okay I can't say enough good things about this location! 9 times out of 10, they are rockin' and rollin' with the orders 6-10 cars back in line. They have surpassed Starbucks for me because Starbucks doesn't have people outside taking orders. It's a business model choice. Their chais and Rebels and granola bars are delicious. Thanks to those who work there and to Dutch Bros for figuring out how to keep the vibe up. Never once have I encountered a moody or attitude-filled barista there. Go team! read more

My sister and I visited Dutch Bros on 12/5 around 11:15AM and the barista who was at the drive thru window was so amazing. The drive thru entrance to this location was a bit tricky-- we had to circle around twice to get to it, haha. But we were determined to get our coffee and I'm so glad we did :) I asked the barista what was popular and she recommended many drinks and said we could also create our own. I settled on their current holiday drink, the Hazelnut Truffle and my sister got a drink that she described to the barista and the barista said they could make what she wanted for her. I forgot to tell her that I wanted my drink made with whole milk and they graciously remade my coffee for me-- so kind! I put in a mobile order from my house, I get there and there's two people in front of me. I watch them order, when my turn to get to the window they say we are behind a bit. So I'm like cool. They then call both people who just literally ordered ahead of me. One of them has the EXACT same drink I ordered. Both get their drinks and leave. Our favorite drink is the Golden Eagle blended with green apple soft top and Caramel drizzle everywhere! We been coming to this location since we arrived in Seattle, and we came here for a total of 6 times. Yes we love Dutch Bros over Starbucks coffee. My favorite drink is the Annihilator which is a macadamia nut breve. I get it with the soft cream top instead of the whip cream. I also tried the Golden Eagle which is Vanilla and Caramel Breve w/caramel drizzle. Was expecting it to be sweet, but it wasn't. This location's drive thru is always busy, so we would park on the side and order at the walk-up menu. The workers are super friendly and patient since we were a group of 6. I am so disappointed because they have been so hyped up for the coffee and it was so bad that I could not drink it. I literally threw it away at the rest stop on my travel. Your coffee sucks! I would recommend 7-11 coffee that had been sitting in the pot for five hours over the coffee I was served. This place is always crazy with line so we thought we got lucky :) The people there are definitely perky and cheery and helpful. We got the cotton candy frost and the kid size mango smoothie. Both was really good and refreshing, they tasted like how they are supposed to taste. Price was also very reasonable. It was also pretty fast moving as well. Camp out cold brew: the first few times I ordered this with oat milk and tasted amazing.
