After we bought, we had a 45 minute guided tour of our new mini-home, including pump verses water hookup, how to empty tanks, and filters, oven vents, you name it. Five years later we still love our li'l home from Custom Camper. They have new and used travel trailers, small to huge, they service RVs, and have a supply shop on site. They also still carry the (current year) RV we bought five years ago. It's not the largest lot in Hartford, but it has range and quality, still. We'd go back there again, and someday we will. When COVID has become a thing of the past, it'll still be fun to visit them at the RV show again.

Finally get an email that the third-party company is backed up and it will be another 6-8 weeks. I started calling 6 weeks in to get an update and again got no reply. Then, out of the blue, the third-party company calls me directly and tells me that they are ahead of schedule and are ready for me to ship my old canvas to them and receive payment. I explained that I already thought all of this was taken care of by TOTH RV and they had no record of them, they only had the order under my name when I never even spoke to anyone at this third-party company. Now I'm scrambling to find out what is going on before they cancel my order for not supplying the old canvas. I called and actually got someone on the other line that said someone would call me back by the end of the day. Guess what, no phone call. I called at 3:30 pm and the machine picked up again! Are you kidding me!? This should not be this difficult. It's really unfortunate because I have dealt with them in the past and have friends and family that have had good experiences as well, but obviously the service has gone downhill. So much for being on top of it!

I purchased a used RV on 9/16/2017 using my credit cards. The dealership (not a financing company)…read moreput a lien on the title when they registered it for me. When DMV sent out the title, it went to the dealership. I have been trying ever since to get this corrected. I have the purchase order and the credit card statements showing that the dealership has been paid in full. Most times I call, it goes to voicemail. I have spoken to a woman named Tracy that is very familiar with the situation. She continuously makes excuses as to why I cannot come get the title and the lien release. She says she is going to go to the bank and check the safe deposit box and she will get back to me in a day or two. Then she dodges my calls. I have a text conversation where she admits to knowing the lien was put on. I have asked repeatedly for the release of lien letter and she is refusing to issue it. I have also asked for the $25 fee for the replacement title which she refuses to pay.

The pre-owned camper you selected was clearly presented and documented as an "AS-IS" unit and the purchase paperwork reflected that at the time of signing. When you returned to take delivery and opened the slide, there was some visible water on the floor and a trim piece. Our sales manager had it wiped up and inspected the area himself and did not find any signs of structural damage, but we understand that this raised concern for you. We offered to take a closer look and address any potential sealing issues to give you more confidence, even though the unit was being sold AS-IS. From there, the conversation shifted to a different, newer unit at your request. We worked to present options, but as discussed, a significantly newer camper comes with a very different price structure, and we were not able to align those numbers with the payment you were hoping for which is understandably disappointing. Our goal is always to be transparent and reasonable throughout the process, and we regret that this experience felt otherwise from your perspective. We do wish you the best in finding the right RV for your needs. some very interesting facts missing from your response. The first is that I was never given the chance to fully inspect the vehicle prior to doing the bank paperwork. Then the day when I came in to do the bank stuff I was not able to do a full and complete inspection of the vehicle as it was not made available for me to do that inspection. I understand what "as is" means. As does the lawyer I spoke to. If I had the chance to fully inspect that vehicle on the day we did the paperwork and then showed up three weeks later to find water inside legally I'd still be in the right. But morally it might be a different story. But that is beside the point because as I stated, I was never given the chance to completely inspect the vehicle. Nor did I check the box on my contract stating that I was given a chance to fully inspect the vehicle. Why? Because I had worked it out with the sales person that since I could not inspect it that day, then when I came to pick it up finally I would have the chance to walk through it and make sure everything worked. Make sure everything worked. Here I'll say it one more time. Make sure everything worked. A camper that leaks is not a camper that works. And what your manager said to me was that he could have no idea where the water was coming from and he admitted to me that his offers to fix the liner on the slide might not be where the water was coming from and may do nothing to fix the issue. Btw. The leak was bad enough to swell wood. I think you need to sit down with your sales manager and sales people and get the full story about this because they seam to have left out a few important details. Either that or you're ignoring them. I never took possession of that vehicle. I never gave you my trade I never gave you my title. It was never registered to me and I never left the lot with it. I never signed that I had inspected it. And I was promised a full inspection before finishing the registration and driving off with the vehicle. Your company easily could've rolled back that deal. And I could've gone elsewhere. But I decided to give you all the benefit of a doubt and reach out with an olive branch telling you that you did have something on the lot. Let's find a way to make it work. Instead they unlawfully tried to keep the first deal alive and in doing so their offer to me for the other camper on your lot was this. To take a vehicle that I hadn't even driven off the lot in or registered to me as a "trade" and at the end of the day if I had taken the deal you so. "transparently" laid out for me. I would've ended up shelling out a $6000 trade and $14,000 in cash to walk off the lot with a $24,000 camper. With a payment of $150 a month for 180 months. Making almost $6k of my money disappear. And you would have still been left with not only my trade. But the original camper you tried to sell me which hasn't lost a penny of value due to our deal falling apart. If fixing it was really that easy you could do it put it back out on the lot and have it sold fairly quickly. If fixing it is not that easy and now it needs to be wholesaled. Well that looks much more like your dealer knew about the leak the whole time and was trying to hide it from me. It was pouring rain the day we did the paperwork and seeing the leak that day would have been easy. Interesting coincidence.... I will be meeting with my lawyer on Friday and sending you a letter directly after that. I am hoping that you will do the right thing and just unwind the deal. That way we can avoid me having to go to the Department of consumer protections. Thank you.

How difficult is it to walk across the service department floor to parts and find out if the part has been ordered or not. Absolutely terrible follow-up to requested repair work. But this one is an exception. We have owned and operated RVs for almost 40 years so one can imagine we've had our fair share of dealings with repair shops, Mobile RV techs and yes, RV dealers, the latter of which is usually very painfull. We have been traveling for over 2months in our 2022 Newmar Newaire diesel pusher, from Idaho to Arizona through Texas, the deep south and up the East Coast. Everywhere has been blistering hot, humid and our rear air-conditioning unit was not working well. We had a Newmar dealer in Myrtle Beach determine it needed to be replaced, even though they could not tell me what was wrong with it. They replaced it, but after 13 man hours they could not get the new one to work. We came back the next day and they spent 7 hours putting the old one back on. The Next day, the old unit didn't work at all. Fast forward, I researched what dealer was going to be in our path, I checked reviews on various options and then contacted Dave's RV in Danbury Connecticut. It was a little out of our way, but I called them and spoke with Dave Jr. He was super knowledgeable, knew exactly what the issue was. We agreed to drive up to Danbury from Philly let Dave take a shot at it. We arrived at 2 PM chatted with Dave Jr. and Larry, left them the keys and went to the market expecting to hook up to their power connections and spend the night when we got back. Less than two hours later we got back; The coach was where we left it connected to shore power slideouts out, lights on and the new air conditioner in and running. After chatting with both of them, we determined that the previous job was Pretty much botched and surprised we didn't have a fire. I even got to meet Dave Senior and his lovely wife and the office crew. Senior has been at it for 56 years there....These people are the salt of the Earth, true professionals, and they renewed my faith in independent dealers and technicians. Forever grateful.

My RV step was bent and we could not close the entrance door. Campingworld wanted me me to unhook the RV. Why? Can you pls first come and have look? No! Why not? Well have a nice day and we left. They also tried to sell me a new step (400$). Complete BS. So we went straight to Diederich's RV Mart. The owner came with us and with a little block of wood and a little wiggling and bending (carefully) he fixed in 5 minutes. He didn't want any money for it either.
