I have a camper made by NuCamp RV. I needed a new mixing valve to fix the my hot water problem. I spoke to Val in parts and sent her a picture of the current mixing valve, the next day she emailed me back asking the VIN number of my unit which I sent her right away. Two weeks later I called as I heard nothing. She acting like this was a new problem, a week later I called her again and left a message. Have not received a call back for over another week now and sure I will not ever! read more

Went to look at used campers with my family. Devyn could not answer a simple question about warranty on the roof, giving a snarky answer "I'd have to look into it. I'm not in the industry if making up stuff." After being quoted over $25,000 for 3 separate used campers, I asked how much the new ones go for and was told "feel free to look around, I'm late for my next appointment." They tried selling a used camper that was starting to dry rot on one of the slide outs by saying they'll throw some plastic on it instead of replacing the wood... the wood was still wet. Sales person said they will take care of everything before it leaves a lot but after speaking with the financial guy, he said they don't fix used campers. That is absolutely awful to try and sell someone a camper with a slide out starting to dry rot. If someone doesn't know a whole lot about campers, they probably wouldn't even look and it would cost them in the long run.... read more

I gave Pete's RV all my info which clearly stated I lived out of state in Springfield, MA. After they received payment, they decided to inform me I was responsible for going to RMV. Terrible customer service. They don't answer the phone. They don't return your calls. Our dad (83 years old) had his RV for sale there for 1 year. They lied and said they had offers and they didn't. They lost his keys so he could not drive it away. They parked it in Waterford at the Crystal Mall and the PD came and shut them down. When it was Vans we bought two trailers there. You will never see us step foot in Pete's RV. No idea how they keep their doors open. read more

The new service advisor Nick is very responsive. Always responded to my emails timely. Even though I drove 5 hours yesterday to Pete's RV to pick up my van without success due to a failed alternator which was not detected earlier, I feel the team has tried their best. Their manager Tony even offered to drop off my van when they are done with the repairs. Richard is very paitent explaining to me what is going on. Even though I was disappointed that I was not able to bring my van home after a 8 hour wait, I feel that the whole team (including Basir and Paul) are very nice, and they do seem to care about their customers. I hope they will fix my alternator soon and I can go on my vacation as scheduled. read more

Pete's RV In January of 2023 I began contacting dealers regarding the purchase of a new camper. This would have been my 3rd camper. The first 2 I purchased from Petes. Petes was on the list of dealers I contacted. I had an issue with my salesman Mike Filipone not submitting my offer to the sales manager without a "commitment to purchase". After the same offer was accepted by another dealer and shown to Mike, my offer was then accepted without me giving him a "commitment to purchase". While at the Springfield RV show, I explained my issue with a Jayco Rep who passed the info along with the owner of Pete's Rv, Chad. I met with Chad who incentivized me to purchase from Petes which I was happy to do after he extended the offer. Plus it would be my 3rd camper from Petes. Come pickup day, the camper was covered in black streaks along with adhesive from duct tape likely used to attach an apron to the rv at a previous show. Kaleb (awesome employee!) did his best in the short time we had to remove the streaks but it just didn't get clean. I had to reschedule a day to transfer my weight distribution hitch since the correct brackets weren't in stock. I also requested the black streaks be removed when I came back for the hitch transfer. The hitch was transferred, I paid the hitch transfer fee and the duct tape adhesive was removed but nothing was done for the black streaks all over the camper. On the ride home from getting the hitch transferred, I noticed the camper to be a little swirly on the highway. Upon preparing to un-hitch the camper, I noticed the weight distribution bars had so little weight on them, I could move them with my foot. Apparently the install was done incorrectly. I was so upset I decided to just go to another dealer and have them install a totally different hitch as they wouldn't re-adjust mine being they didn't sell that brand. Fast forward to camping season. One of the first weekends I was camping it was raining out. Rain was pouring in via the slide so bad that I had to close the slide. I brought the camper in for service. The service advisor told me they have the corporate trainer from VT here at the South Winder location and he will figure it out. I also spoke with the manager there and told him that since I already paid labor for the hitch transfer that wasn't done correctly, I would like a slide topper installed AFTER the water leak was fixed. I explained I felt the dealer should pay for the labor to install it since the hitch issue occurred. He agreed which I was very gracious for. The day I went to pick the camper up, it was explained to me that the tech checked the seals on the slide and everything looked good. So essentially nothing was done to fix the leak and they still installed the slide topper. I asked if they even sprayed water to find the leak. I was told that did not occur and if I wanted them to do that, it would cost me $200/hr for a 4 hour MINIMUM! The camper was purchased just months before, why this wasn't investigated under warranty was beyond me. The slide topper stopped water from leaking in, but in the end the leak itself was never actually fixed, a bandaid was put on it. As the camping season was coming to a close, I called to schedule an appt for service. The water pump under the sink (that I never use as I'm always connected to city water) has a very steady leak, a light in the bedroom was malfunctioning and the bedroom sliding door dropped out of the sliding mount. The drop off date was late November. A few days before drop off, I inquired as to an approximate date the camper would be ready. Reason being my winter storage spot couldn't be accessed after snow. Since they were unable to give me any type of timeframe, I had to cancel the appt. As you read, from the very beginning stages of buying the camper until the end of the season was a very bumpy road. I was quite upset as this was the 3rd camper I purchased from Petes. I remained a loyal customer and in return I received less than satisfactory service with a camper that has issues and is basically brand new. After owning the camper for 1 year, I emailed 3 employees of Pete's RV outlining the year in review. One of the owners, the director of pre delivery and the manager of the South Windsor location. Over a month later and no response. I guess being a loyal customer doesn't mean anything to Pete's RV management. *update. I received a phone call from the service dept 3 days after leaving a Google review (5 weeks after I emailed my review to them). All he asked was if it wanted to bring my camper in for service. No mention of my year of hell. read more

Three trips, and 50k later and we still have a camper that needs work done to it. If we had wanted a fixer upper we could have paid half the price. The sales process with alex was smooth, and we made it clear that the next time we were driving two hours back down was to pick up our camper. They said the pickup was scheduling two weeks out, we ended up being three weeks as that date worked better for us. Pick up time was set for 11am on May 13th. When my boyfriend arrived for the orientation and walk through he immediately noticed that they replaced the stove with a noticeable gap because it was smaller than the original. They tried to tell us that it was the same size, after showing pictures of the original they agreed that it wasn't the same. At that point they said that it was replaced due to a gas leak, which then turned into it wasn't the stove and that it was somewhere else within the camper. They sent Zach out to lunch "on them" how nice! After an hour he returned to find that they still had no clue where the leak was. (Now shouldn't this have all been done prior to the pick up time).. they told him they needed another 2-3 hours, so being 2 hours from home he stuck around. After the three hours they decided they couldn't figure out the leak and had to order all new parts. So there Zach was after spending an entire day down in CT coming home without the camper. When he left he was told they would Compensate him for his gas one way and that we could expect the camper to be ready Wednesday or Thursday of the following week. Each day I checked in via email/phone/text. My emails were never replied to, and the updates we received were little to no information "ordering the parts" oh actually "today we ordered them" " waiting on the parts to come in" "oh actually they are being made" "going to pick up the parts" "oh actually they weren't ready, going today" As you can see an exciting time for us turned into stress, and so much unknown and honestly not even wanting this camper anymore. This went on for 10 days after our "pick up date". May 24th we got the good news that the parts were in and being installed, Zach left work to head back down after speaking with Gary who said it would be ready. He gets down there to find that they ordered the wrong parts, and that we would expect it to be ready in another week. At this point, we were either leaving with the camper how it was or no longer going through with this purchase it has now been over 6weeks since we put down the deposit. Luckily Zach knows how to do the gas piping, but the point of spending this much on a camper and going through a dealership was so that there wasn't all this hassle and it was the complete opposite of that with Pete's RV. Aside from the gas piping needing to be fully done, the battery was dead, the camper wasn't cleaned or the awnings. It was missing the central vac hose, the poop hose as well as the monitor for the backup camera.Which is all apart of their "service package" that we paid $585 for. This was also mentioned two weeks prior when Zach did the initial walk through and they got an extra two weeks to complete. The most we got was $1000.00 the monitor that already should have been included along with the vacuum hose, only because of my continuous Emails and follow-ups. Customer service is certainly not their strong suit but it's okay because they are "short staffed" I hope you take this into consideration prior to buying anything from them because I wouldn't wish what we went through on anyone! read more

Called them to inquire about a class c they had on their lot, salesman said he had to go check to see if it had the equipment installed I was looking for, called back and told me he looked at it and it indeed had it. I drove 3 hours to the dealership to look the unit over only to find out the salesperson LIED to me , and the unit was not even in usable condition, the slide out was broken, cabinets were broken off, on a new unit,and when I spoke to the sales manager about the situation he and the salesperson just laughed and said to have a good day.......Stay as far away from this place as possible.....long time RV'er.... read more

I recently called Pete's RV in CT and was connected to Brian in parts. At first he seemed more than willing to help me locate a part for my Class C motorhome. Once he found out it was not an ordinary part that may need some effort to locate he ghosted me. He was supposed to call me back with an answer but never did. I called for an update but he refused to speak with me on the phone. He relayed his answer through another employee. The answer? We cannot help you. Really? You are the dealership, where else am I supposed to get the part for my coach? VERY POOR customer service from Brian at Pete's RV!! Do not shop there! I purchased my RV from Pete's RV in South Windsor CT 2021. I didn't like the stairs that came with the trailer I wanted 4 step / top step to be a wide step, lift assist & with the lever to drop the legs down. I absolutely did not want to put a pin in the leg once the legs were down, just the lever. When my husband brought the trailer home they installed the steps with the pin for the legs. This was exactly what I didn't want. I complained to the old crew at Pete's RV. I was told they were used steps and they won't take them back. I went to the head of service depart at the time he said he would work with me to get me the steps I wanted. Throughout the year he just kept blowing me off. I have been working on getting this rectified for 2 years. I called Pete's RV once again in 2024 and discover they had a new crew there. that want to make things right for the customers that have been treated badly in the past. I spoke with Brian. Brian and the new service manager I think he name is Nick , made this happen for me. I got my stairs I wanted at no cost to me!! I want to give Bashir a shout out too. He was willing to come in on a Saturday to install my new stairs. I can't say enough about the new crew at Pete's RV making it right and taking care of their customers. Petes RV dealer in Windor, CT has the worst sales associate in the world!!! Sales associate Devin needs find a different job because he is NOT GOOD in sales!!! After my wife & I explained what we needed and he even asked what vehicle we had to pull it, he poi ted out all different RV's and prices. I again told him what we needed but all he wanted was to talk about prices like we could not afford their products. We left this place and called back to get the sales persons name and transfered my call to the sales manager. I explained briefly but he transfered me back to the receptionist stating that he did not know why she transfered the call to him. Worst Company EVER. This company is no longer the same, Shawn really should be ashamed of this operation. I had my camper serviced, simple service took over 3 months, replaced my Motherboard (the entire electrical Brain of the Camper) I went and picked up my camper and brought home, maybe 10min away. About 1 week later we went to take out the batteries due to the cold weather to discover it was at some point on fire. Strange right, we are being blamed. They asked me to return the camper immediately so they can inspect it, fast forward ANOTHER 2-3 months, they told me the diagnosis was my solar panels were over charging my battery....STRANGE, I don't have solar panels. Then they are blaming me that I had a jack fall on it and sparked a fire, STRANGE again, it melted the jack chain and it welded it to the handle, there is absolutely no physical way this could of been the culprit, it is physically impossible. Again, all this after they touched the main frame of the electrical. They are good at selling you a camper, but service......AWFUL, they even called the cops on us as we were upset over this situation. MEANWHILE, the service manager TONY(is a complete coward) wouldn't acknowledge us, or speak with us, when we were speaking with the cops and the service writers, all he did was watch from the door (COWARD). The cops were great, actually helped us as this will cause this to circle back to PETES RV. The cops were very helpful, Thank you Petes or calling them. Now we have an insurance investigator and the Fire Marshall involved. PETES will be in serious trouble over this. Also if we go camping and the camper happens to catch fire over this ( we have 3 kids) PETES RV will be 1000% liable for any injury, damage and hospitalization if occurs due to their lack of due diligence. BUYER BEWARE--- Petes RV used too be the best, now they are just trying to become a giant in the industry and there service and support is absolutely awful!!! If Sean happens to read this, I welcome hearing from you on this. This is a seriuos issue and could cause a tragic accident. I've been a customer at Pete's RV for the past six or seven years because I bought my Cherokee Grey Wolf toy hauler at their sister store in Vermont. I had been very happy with their service department until late last camping season when I brought my camper in to repair a broken tempered glass window. If you are ever unlucky enough to need a tempered glass repair, you will soon learn that typical auto glass repair options won't work because most shops only handle safety glass. Well, an assistant service manager at Pete's RV told me they could get the repair done in ten days last September and that sounded great. Well, six months later, after a slew of broken promises, 2 missed camping trips, and several phone calls from which I got no answers to some very basic questions (like, "When are you going to finish fixing my camper?"), I was furious. Things had gotten so bad that one time I went to pick up my camper after they fixed the broken window and I found someone had broken something else inside my camper (a bed platform) and didn't say a word about it. Good thing I carefully inspected the unit before I left the lot. This was now a nightmare. Finally, I got a phone call from a new Service Director named Justin who really helped me. He carefully listened to my long list of complaints about the awful service I had received. Justin told me that the assistant service manager I had dealt with previously was no longer at Pete's RV, and he apologized for the terrible way my repairs had been handled. Justin promised that moving forward my service would be handled expeditiously, and, he added in substantial additional maintenance service at no charge (roof cleaning and UV treatment, fixed fresh water tank sensor, camper exterior washed) to help make up for the inconveniences I had suffered. The best thing that Justin did was that he assigned a Service Advisor named Basir to me in order to make sure that I was happy with everything. Basir was fantastic. I must say he was knowledgeable, dedicated, and had a great attitude. Honestly, I was ready to leave and never return to Pete's RV, but Justin and Basir changed that. I brought our travel trailer in for some minor repairs. Change the CO 2 detector, storm door handle, vent cover, and AC. It sat on their lot for almost a month with no repairs done. I was originally told they'd be done in a week. I called and left messages with no return call. I finally got a hold of the service manager and he didn't know what needed to be repaired or even have a quote for the AC repair. I gave him a few days to make the repairs before picking it up. I'm nit sure that anything was dine. The vent flap still pops open, the handle is still broken. I am beyond disappointed and feel that we wasted our time and money. I do not recommend this place. We bought our RV from Pete's RV in MA 1.5 years ago. We have a warranty issue that needs to be addressed and they can't help us for months and then tell us we will need to leave the RV with them for a month. They were extremely rude to my husband on the phone. My husband called Pete's RV in CT and the guy was very friendly and helpful on the phone. He also said they were booked out but he told us about the mobile warranty unit that can go out to diagnosis the problem. We have a seasonal site and we would need someone to come out to us. Pete"s RV in MA never even mentioned this as an option. Very disappointed in their customer service would not buy from them again. I have noticed other people with similar complaint. We picked up our 2019 Jayco Greyhawk Tuesday July 9. We arrived an hour early because we needed to transfer some content of our old Rv to the new Greyhawk. We had talked to our sales guy about this. While I was transferring the items the service depart just started doing the multi seal on the tires. Would have thought it would had already been done. ( booked the walk through 2 weeks earlier). But I was ok with it because I knew it was getting done. We finished the walk through and were ready to go but we had to wait for the $500 gas card that was part of the promotion you ran when we bought the Rv. A young lady said she had to go to the gas stations to get it. Ok. She returned and stayed that they didn't have any and that she could send us it or write a check. Told her we'd take the check now. I then noticed that there was only 1 driver key. And only 1 remote for the unit. After asking a few of the guys both in sales and service they found the other key and remote. Ok we were all set to go. Then I looked at the gas gage. Just over 1/8 a tank of gas. I've nerve bought any vehicle that I picked up that was full or at least 1/2 to 3/4 full. So at 5 pm I needed to find a gas station to fill up on our way home. Wasn't happy. We got back to our place and while setting up I removed a block of wood that was used while the service guys jacked up the Rv to do the tires. (Picture) We were very lucky that it did not come loose and hit a car on our hour trip home. There seems to have been many shaky things that I wouldn't have thought I would have seen at a large dealership that has been in business as long as Pete's has been. Hopefully I don't need service anytime soon. Update.: after I emailed the above response to the customer service person at Pete's I received a phone call from the manager. He explained that he was sorry for the service that we received. He stayed that's the Rv should have had a full tank of gas. Offered me a $100 to put gas in it. I asked for a gift card to their store and ordered some things we needed. It was not a fix but it did help. read more

We purchased our 1st Jayco from Vans ( Now Pete's ) 9 years ago. Trading it in now feels like the worst idea I could have had. I feel I am getting nothing but a runaround from the service department after having issues in our 2023 Jayco - from an overheating / leaking hot water heater that flooded the camper after 48 hrs of delivery ( this took the manufacturer to send a new one out not even being repaired from the dealer) , now that I have hot water the shower leaks all over the floor, broken awning arm, gray water not sealing at drain, walls popping off, door frames coming off, slide outs not level and off by 4 inches , cabinets in bedroom just slapped on the wall with large gaps in the back. I took out an extended warranty and have yet to see anything actually get sent for approval. I have had 3 weeks of " I will look into it" as the only response when I finally reach someone. The quality has gone to shit and customer service is non existent. No answer , no calls back, no responses to emails after providing a proposal from a mobile RV tech with poof of photos. I am very unhappy and will never recommend Pete's RV or a Jayco trailer to anyone again. I used to be so proud and happy with this company but not anymore!! read more

We purchased our camper here in 2016, nothing but issues. Most recently dropped off for repair on February 20, 2023 (their date for service) Asked for repair by April 1st, (Trips scheduled). They didn't look at it until April 6th. At least that's what they said. Twice since then we were told it was ready, went there, nothing fixed. They damaged parts, it was filthy, the repairs they said were done were not. Nothing said until we mentioned things and we were told "parts were on order" but no mention about that or that we would have to bring it back. Never get a call back, sit on hold forever before being dumped into voicemail and again never a call back. Lots of excuses, shuffled from one person to another and staff keeps changing so every time you ask a question they need the info from someone else who's on the phone, or in a meeting or not here today. We purchased our new RV at a convention at Mohegan Sun. We fell in love with the model they showed us...a 2024 Jayco Redhawk 26M. They told us the price and we agree to purchase. When we sat down to sign all the paperwork we were told that we actually weren't getting a 2024, that we were getting a 2023, but not to worry because everything was the same, there were no differences. Which was fine, however the price was the same. We should have walked away at that point, but we didn't. We went through with the purchase and we were told we could pick it up 2 weeks from that purchase date. When we went to pick up, mind you we live 1.5 hours away, we had to drive 2 vehicles so one of us could drive it home. When we got to Pete's RV, a woman walked us around the vehicle and 'showed' us the RV. She didn't have much of a clue what she was doing. She had no idea of the features of the RV. She couldn't even figure out how to connect carplay. Any question I asked she didn't know the answer to and would say, oh you will figure it out. We are first time RV owners and have no idea what we are doing. After she was done showing us the RV, we walk outside and the woman said, there is one problem, the generator doesn't work. My husband and I were not happy. She told us we could still take the RV and take it to our home shop (only 20 minutes from our house) so we agreed to take it home. We get home and get a call a couple days later to schedule the generator to be fixed. The woman tells us that it can't be fixed near our home so we had to bring it back to CT to have it fixed. We drove 2 cars again 1.5 hours out and left the RV and drove home 1.5 hours. The generator was fixed and we had to go pick it up the next day with 2 vehicles again 1.5 hours out. The cost to have us back and forth so many times was aggravating and we weren't compensated. I will never do business with Pete's RV again. read more

Sales and service were good although not sure I'd buy from this location after talking to their new sales manager Ryan. Did not like his attitude and felt like he acted like he had better things to do than help us. Not to mention his knowledge on campers was not impressive. I had looked into buying a camper a few months ago and had talked with the manager nick who was great. After having to deal with Ryan and his incompetence I am very confused As to how he is a manager. Not a smart move by upper management to put someone like him in charge. Sales Rep Austin Harrison amazing knowledgeable and honest and always available to assist. Upon walking in I was greeted by Lyndsey who was super friendly wonderful attitude and so pleasant and accommodating. Every person that walked by smiled it made me feel welcome and supported. Unfortunately my walk through specialist Gerry Beaupre was none of the above. I emailed Gerry and spoke to him 2 weeks prior to my appointment to make sure all went smoothly, I listed all the extras we bought and explained that we were traveling a distance to pick up the RV and was just looking to assure a smooth transition. I was asked to be patient as its a very busy season which I understand though nothing was prepped on our RV until that day and one of my extras that I preordered was not there as they were on back order which they were unaware of until that day because that's the day they started to prep. ( when picking up a 45,000 dollar purchase you would think the prep would be done prior to arrival and thoroughly inspected none of this was done). I was disappointed but hey it is their busy season so we waited 6 hours and started walk through with Gerry and there were multiple issues and as I pointed out these issues he dismissed my concerns and proceeded on, after I pointed out an area that looked like water damage, Gerry dismissed my concerns again I looked for assistance. Gerry continually blamed other departments and even talked badly about another employee, I stopped him to let him know how utterly unprofessional it was to pass the buck, in my eyes he is not a team player and does not display any of the wonderful behaviors and attitudes that every other employee displayed. After management got involved Gerry tried to fix the issues I described and felt, but by that time I no longer trusted him or the manager that was trying to assist. I feel badly because every encounter with every other employee we encountered were wonderful kudos to Austin, Lyndsey and everyone else that helped us, I hope Gerry starts taking responsibility, stop passing the buck, kinder to his fellow employees and learns how to work as a teamplayer and stop dismissing a woman's input. So my advice I loved Pete's RV ask to have your unit inspected and prepped prior to arrival and if Gerry is your walk through specialist ask for someone else they were all so nice. read more

We have a JaycoX19H and was just serviced by Pete's. James the tech was excellent! Explained all the repairs! And Gary the service writer was just as helpful! he folks at Petes RV are awesome! And a special shout out to Roman F. in service/parts! My landlord has a 2005 Jayco jay feather that has been sitting in our driveway for five years unused. I took some time to read up about with the possible issues could be, then I took a trip to Petes RV and met Roman and he talked me through the whole process ( which I was pretty sure I knew anyway from watching the YouTube videos, but... I needed some hand holding) Petes RV and Roman in particular not only found me the exact swap out converter that I needed, but also provided other great information that helped with the installation. AND... if that wasn't enough, Roman sold me a a amazing beach/camping chair that is the bomb! The folks at Pete's are really helpful, super friendly and work hard to make sure you have a successful RVing experience whether you are someone who's bought a trailer from them or someone who's just trying to fix one up and get it on the road! The customer service is terrible. Picked up a Jayco Nov 1 and while trying to register for insurance I noticed that Petes created and submitted a Ct State Registration with an incorrect vin number. Have emails to and replays from Petes that they will get back to me with no response. Now I have a regristration that is incorrect..I will only post the one complaint regarding this transaction. My suggestion is go somewhere else or watch them very close I hope someone will get back to me I even talked to and email.d Sean (our sales person) at the Springfield show. I'm writing this review to warn people about the treachery of Pete's RV Center. I purchased a used Class A motor home from them. I was supposed to get a 3 hour session on how to use the motor home. I was hustled out of there in an hour. My wife and I are still learning how to use the motor home after 2 months. The real problem occurred when they hooked up my car to the motor home. They hooked up my Jeep Cherokee improperly and destroyed the rear end and transmission. When I brought it to there attention, I asked for them to pay for the damages that occurred. They refused and told me that I contacted them after 15 days and that was to long. We didn't use the car for 15 days. We had no idea that the car was hooked up incorrectly. Very nice RV dealership! Purchased my first Jayco travel trailer. had a good experience with salesperson and overall process. Wish the had a bigger RV accessories store! Looking forward to come again to pick up my new 5th wheel! read more
