Two weeks later, on 5/18, the air conditioning stopped working. They market themselves as 24-hour, so I called 5 times that evening. They have a system for screening their calls. I communicated several times that this was an urgent concern, as I have 5 pets who would be intolerant of the 100-degree heat forecast for the following day. Even after dark, my house was 85 degrees. After those calls, I received no calls back. The next morning, on 5/19, I scheduled a morning appointment with Greenfox and then chatted with them via their chat system. The person on the chat assured me that this was a concern. They reported that they marked my appointment as urgent and would register a complaint with the company on my behalf. They assured me that the tech would leave and arrive at my house by 8am. 8am came and went with no call or contact from Greenfox. I logged on to the chat again and spoke with another agent and recounted everything that had happened previously. They said they could do nothing but make appointments on the chat. I said that I did that morning and was told the appointment would be around 8. They said I would have to call the office. I told them that I already had 5 times, and I received no return call. The chat said there was nothing they could do. I then spent time I could have been working calling other companies to try to get service, as the house was getting close to 80 degrees at 9:30 AM. A tech from Greenfox eventually arrived at around 11:15. The company never called me back at all; they didn't let me know he was coming. I received an automated text that the tech was coming 15 minutes after he arrived. He found the issue, which should have been discovered two weeks earlier at the servicing appointment. The tech then left, saying, "I'll send you the invoice." No discussion. The tech then charged us $245 for a problem that should have been caught during the initial service we already paid for. Getting an annual service from this company is useless. It appears they didn't thoroughly review for potential issues, which has left my AC not working on the hottest days of the year so far. There was no consideration on the second bill for the poor work of the technician who came out to service. They don't answer phone calls. They don't call anyone back. They don't let you know a tech is coming. Their chat responses are, at minimum, disingenuous and, at worst, outright lies. And then they still charge you double, even though it was their error. There are far better and more reliable companies in the area, with whom I will be contracting going forward.

The technicians (Luis & John) promptly arrived 10 mins before the provided arrival time and were extremely courteous. After a comprehensive inspection to diagnose the issue, they were able to delineate the process for repairs while patiently answering all my questions. Already prepared with all the tools and provisions to conclude the repair (which was especially impressive considering the old age of my unit) they did outstanding work and had us enjoying the icy cold air again in no time. I had a very difficult experience with ground loop and unfortunately can not recommend them…read more Although initially the project was going well, they did not fulfill the project as we discussed and did not install the proper equipment for functioning of the internet monitoring symphony system for the water furnace geothermal in our main house and did not setup the symphony system in our secondary structure system. In addition, it was very difficult to schedule work with them and the project took much longer than expected to complete.They only came out to finish the work properly when we withheld their final payment for incomplete work. Then after completing the work I promptly provided the payment only for them to refuse to provide the final rebate documents needed for the tax credits for state and federal and my state renewable energy credits filing in an attempt to extort me for additional money beyond what we agreed for the project. They have also refused to provide appropriate warranty/maintenance services related to their installation which does not appear to be cooling properly in the main house just months after installation. Needless to say, this was a horrible experience and although they seem to be skilled professionals I do not view them as honest business people and therefore would recommend to stay away.
