Always a great experience. Owner is prompt and very communicative. They have last minute orders as well which is super convenient. It's a home based business that brings out the items to your car but also have a delivery option for a small fee. My dog is a big Frenchie and their small cake was plenty. Prices are very reasonable.

Easy to order, easy communication and easy pick up! Mark is on top of it. Most importantly, my pup loved his cake. Definitely recommend :)

Sooo happy I stumbled upon Redondo Dog! I usually go to the Dog Bakery but its a bit of a drive. Needless to say, I'm in love with RD treats & they have my continued business. Celebrated my puppy's first birthday with a cake and treats from Redondo Dog and my pup LOVED it!!! She's usually a very picky dog when it comes to food and even treats but she loved everything I purchased from here. My husband and I really loved the service that Mark provided! I waited last minute and had to find a dog bakery in our area, and Redondo Dog came up! I sent a message through yelp and Mark responded right away! He said he'd be able to work with our hours and deliver it in the evening as soon as we got home at 6pm and he did! We had a little puppy party for our dog, his Auntie Daisy was over, and his little sister was there! They all scarfed the cake down! We are so impressed! And the pricing is so great! My rating is 4 1/2 stars. I was browsing the website via Yelp and then got a text with a link to their website, it was timely as I had a few questions and through the website, I could ask. Mark promptly replied via text. All orders are online and you pick up from your car. I was ordering same day and was able to buy the treats I wanted. I texted when I was just around the corner and Mark came out within a few minutes. I was looking for treats for my friends dog's BD; her pooch is on a special diet but I didn't realize her restrictions were that strict so.... I made a gift from the treats instead. I give 5 stars to Redondo Dog. It was extremely easy to communicate with the business and place my order. I ordered a medium size cake for a German Shepherd and a small lap dog. The cake was plenty for the both of them. The cake looked great along with the 3 treats. I will definitely be a returning customer. I don't mind driving to their location but in my situation, the delivery option made it more convenient (for a small fee of course, no biggie). Mark was very timely. Established in 1999.

Redondo Dog is a family owned and operated business, originally called Kool Dog Kafe. What started as a dog bakery and dog boutique quickly expanded to include dog grooming and eventually dog walking services. Owners Mark and Azalea, husband and wife, were drawn to the pet industry for their connection with dogs and their passion for sharing this joy with others. Redondo Dog has come a long way and adapted to the changing environment but its family roots remain the same. Update July 2016: We have closed our physical location. We are now offering FREE same-day delivery for all birthday cake and treat orders! We continue to offer dog walking in the south bay area. The grooming salon has been relocated. Update June 2020: Curbside pickup is available in Carson. I accept Venmo @redondo-dog, cash, or check payable to Redondo Dog. Thank you!

Meet the Business Owner: Mark and Azalea F.

Mark and Azalea were just friends in middle school but years later they connected on Facebook and became husband and wife. They were drawn to the pet industry for their connection with dogs and their passion for sharing this joy with others. Mark was helping out part time as a teenager in the boutique and the grooming salon with his mother. Mark had such a great time, he decided to take on Redondo Dog as a full-time venture as soon as he graduated high school. Many of their clients witnessed Mark grow over the years from a teen to an adult. Azalea, who was focused on her children and career in the fitness industry, realized her fondness towards animals at an early age. She now channels her enthusiasm into dog walking and assistance in the grooming salon in her spare time. Mark and Azalea were married in 2013 and have started a growing family of their own, including children and pets.

I got belly rubs on demand, endless attention, playtime with new friends, and enough treats to make me question whether I should permanently relocate. Every time I walked in, the humans here knew my name and acted excited to see me -- which, as you can imagine, is exactly the level of celebrity treatment I deserve. The place was super clean, safe, and smelled surprisingly good for a building full of dogs making questionable life choices. My parents also loved getting updates and photos of me living my best life while they were away pretending to miss me. (Jasmine, Christina, Ericy, Iliana takes the best selfies of me!) By the time I got home, I was completely exhausted from all the fun, zoomies, and pampering from the staff. 10 out of 10 I would definitely board again and cannot wait until my next visit! Our first time using them as we get our dog groomed every 3 weeks so not much to do but clean up. $90 for such little work and small dog. Our dogs rear end still had hair that was not trimmed. We were given high recommendations from our family but we will most likely go back to our groomer its worth the travel time.

Stale bakery items on multiple occasions. My dog wouldn't eat them any of the times. I'm not sure how long their baked items sit in the display but I won't buy the baked items again. Wanted to return for a refund but no returns accepted for a refund. I ended up baking dog cookies at home which were fresh and soft. My dog loved baking at home and now I have a new recipe up my sleeve for dog treats. We celebrated my pups birthday with a pack of dogs and I shared my own baked dog cookies which I decorated myself. I made it more fresh and special. No more baked items from KoolDog for us. read more

Called with super short notice for a cake - usually, I bake them on my own, but didn't have time for this particular birthday. Mark was very friendly, and I was able to pick up a cute cake (small size) within a few hours. The process was really easy and price reasonable. This was an amazing shop dedicated to dogs!! I loved stopping by and seeing all the treats, cakes, clothes, leashes, beds and more. The groomer and staff were incredible as well.
