I waited and hesitated to write this review. I met the owner on a local online group and was pleased with the efficiency and communication in ordering a two tier cake for my son's birthday. Sadly, the construction of the cake did not last. Included is a photo of the bottom layer looking almost sliced open. A few family members that were helping me set up at the party had baked large cakes before and recognized that the rod or dowel which was to hold top to bottom layer, did in fact not reach the bottom layer. I wish I had time to Photograph that part but as you can imagine I was busy now trying to utilize the time to set up the rest of the party. One also mentioned that maybe the cake should have been frozen over night to set. The owner did tell me she would refrigerate the cake the night prior. I hired who I thought was a professional that was confident in commenting on my online post to mention she can bake such a cake. A couple of days later I wrote her mentioning the disappointment since we couldn't use the cake which was my main decor/theme. She went on to reply that she thought it was the fault of the drive over (which was a couple of miles in AC, using the proper interventions). This was after she read my message and saw a photo where it's clear what the issue is. The lack of accountability made it even more disheartening. This was my son's first birthday party and a huge let down. She has now refunded half my cost- which doesn't cover the stress and disappointment. Be diligent in ensuring your baker has experience with the type of cake you need is my advice. Editing to add that the rods were not long enough to reach the bottom layer. You don't have to be a baker as it turns out to see what the issue is. Despite the conversation, feedback and now this review- The owner continues to reply in what she thought were transport conditions that affected the cake, however I'll let the photo speak for itself. The lack of accountability is unpleasant and I won't spend additional time on this matter. I just want to save a fellow local mom from the stress and disheartening feelings of your kiddos birthday being ruined.

I felt her apology was sincere and based on her quick response and customer service, I decided to change my rating.
This was the first time I've ordered a cake from 3 Little Cupcakes and I was so happy that I did! Everyone at our baby shower said it was the best cake they've ever had and I have to agree. It was light & wasn't too sweet. It was gone by the end of the party, which usually never happened with other cakes. Ofelua went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I gave her a photo of what I wanted and she did it! I'll be using them again!
My husband surprised with the cutest cake ever!!! They are extremely generous the cake is HUGE!!!!! Best cake I ever had and even better it's all made from scratch . The service was A-1 as to we got our son his 4th birthday cake from here as well . They are a small family owned business that deserves the entire community to give them A try! Trust me you won't be disappointed!! Thank you for making my birthday extra special with every detail you added to my cake .
Ofelia is an absolute superhero for coming to my rescue. I was contracted to plan a lavish, last-minute Safari themed birthday party and she didn't bat an eyelash when I called her desperate to bring our vision to life with only a week to go. She helped us customize DIY cookie kits as party favors and created the cutest set of Big Cat cupcakes for dessert. They couldn't have come out more perfect. They were almost too cute to eat... but then we quickly realized they were delish as well! Thank you Ofelia for both your patience and artistry. Looking forward to ordering again for the next event!

I, on the other hand love cake, if I do dessert at all. So cupcakes are the best of both worlds! We walked in and were immediately greeted by the owner/manager/Baker and another employee. They asked if we'd been there before, which we hadn't and proceeded to explain all the flavors that they had. They even offered for us to try any ice cream flavor we wanted. We chose a 4 pack and got a chocolate peanut butter, birthday cake, and two others that I can't remember the names to. All moist and delicious! No regrets! Customer service was on point! I love that they're a family owned business. Although they have a location here, we went to their location at Del Amo Mall across from the AMC theater. They were all very friendly and invited us back for more! They even hold birthday parties in the store! There are also a variety of cookies and at least 20+ flavors of cupcakes to choose from! I heard everything from marble cake and chocolate peanut butter to strawberry, s'mores and caramel! When I chose 3 of our cupcakes, she asked if that was all I wanted and I told her, "Heckkkkkk no! I still have one more space in my box! Lol!"
Ordered custom cookies for my sons classes and the kids absolutely loved it. Super cute and clean design and the cookies were a lot bigger (fatter) than I thought and not the really thin cheap ones. She made them a few hours early so we got to pick it up with time to spare. Overall it was a great experience and definitely recommended.
Ofelia did a promotion over Easter- a little box with some frosting, some sprinkles, and Easter-themed sugar cookies. We bought 6 boxes and gave them to friends (and kept one for ourself!). Our kids LOVED it. Our friend's kids squealed with delight and sent us videos. These kits brought joy to so many. The cookies were delightful- moist and yummy. The frosting was perfection. While we waited, I bought some cake pops too! They were fantastic. We found our new bakery! They have taken precautions during this time by: 1. Allowing only 1 customer at a time. 2. Requesting every customer to wear masks 3. Giving an option to pay online (venmo).
If you're looking for a custom Disney character cake, this is not the place. I asked if they could create a Minnie mouse cake and but what they provided did not resemble what they said they could deliver. I wish they told me that they cannot replicate my example so I could continue to look elsewhere. I was still charged my deposit of 57.50 and the cake itself did not taste good.

I purchased the chocolate chip cookies and they are disgusting. I threw them in the trash. They have absolutely no flavor and are are weird consistency. Their cupcakes lack any sort of flavor as well and are soggy! I felt like I was eating a tres leches cake...Disgusting! You're better off buying cupcakes at Sam's Club at a way better deal. This place is so overpriced and a complete waste of money. I should have read the most recent review because she had a very similar experience. This place has multiple reviews complaining about the same problem, that should tell you something. Your products just are not good. This owner is very unprofessional. Take a look at the photo. She messaged me and told me I should have gone somewhere else. Wow! Instead of apologizing publicly and trying to make things right on my review she had to send a nasty childish response directly. How is this lady still in business? I'll tell you how... BOGUS REVIEWS luring in customers with fake five star reviews. ** What a coincidence that this business received two five star reviews the day REAL customers have the same problems, complaints and experience with the lack of flavor and soggy cupcakes. Those two reviews are suspect in my opinion and have no history on Yelp. Probably friends or relatives. Update*** Since I posted my review and called out this business on those phony five star reviews they have since been taken down! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I had the best custom number cake for my 35th birthday made here and not only was it STUNNING, it was SO delicious!! The owner is so friendly and easy to work with and I'm so excited to have found this place. I sent her inspiration pictures and she brought my vision to life so easily. Highly recommend for all and any occasions!
The cupcakes were wet for some reason. Possibly because it was stored in a freezer. Also too sweet. Tasted like I was eating the whole cake in 3 bites and I like sugar a lot. You will need to get a lot of water after. Unfortunately, it was disappointing.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this bakery is. The owner is very responsive and goes above and beyond. Her treats are not only beautiful, but delicious! The cookies she made for my daughter's class were exactly what she wanted and tasted amazing. Just had my first experience with 3 Little Cupcakes and it was fantastic! The owner, Ophelia, kindly did a custom cake for my daughter's birthday - on which she turned 1 - so I really wanted it to be special. She created a beautiful, delectable carrot cake, taking a spin off a treasured family recipe. It was so moist and flavorful! She also incorporated a figurine of our beloved horse, who recently won a race, and even managed to recreate our jockey silks, too. The cake made a supremely special day all the more memorable! I'm giving 3 stars because the icing on this red velvet cake is HORRIBLE. There's no flavor other than melted butter. It's strange and too bad because we liked the cake part, just not the icing. And the icing is supposed to be the "treat" of a cake. It's disappointing and throws the whole cake's flavor off. I can't recommend this to anyone who likes traditional red velvet cake, which is supposed to have a sweet cream cheese flavor. read more

Ok so, I don't even know where to start. After seeing all the great reviews, we decided to try this place for our daughters baby shower. We ordered a cake, cupcakes and cake pops. Let me just tell you about the Cake pops, since that is the first thing i tried because, they looked so deliciously yummy! Unbelievably delicious! (Will attach photo) we ordered both chocolate and vanilla. To die for!! Cupcakes These, we ordered half Vanilla and half chocolate. The most tender cupcakes ever. So delicious... and exactly the color frosting we wanted. (Cake) Last but not least, probably the most beautiful cake we have ever ordered. It was made of Vanilla and Marble. Needless to say, about 90% of the people at our get together asked where we had bought this cake. Ophelia which I believe is the owner/manager even offered to meet us half ways, since we were in West Covina and she is in Lomita, saving us a ton of time as we were so busy. It was a last minute order and she was willing to fit us in. We are so happy with her service we thought it was worth sharing with everyone. I'm big fan of cupcakes, so I can tell when a bakery uses way to much butter on the icing. Purchased a variety of cupcakes and thought ok let me just try it again maybe the first purchase I made months ago is different from now. If you like over buttered icing and not so moist cupcake with stale toppings then cheers to you. I don't like the taste of over buttered icing not ending up with oily buttered lips. ..and if your a cookie fan you will understand texture .. To the owner just a friendly recommendation: try to revamp your ingredient and lessen on the butter on your icings on your cupcake.. as far as the cookies they are a tad bit hard.. read more

I was looking everywhere for someone to make me customized cookies that I needed within two weeks and no one would make them for me. I came upon this business and I got a response right away saying they could do it for me. I was so pleased with the outcome. This was our first time ordering a cake from 3 Little Cupcakes Cafe and we were extremely satisfied. I was really nervous about ordering my baby shower cake from a new place because I wanted it to be perfect but after sending Ofelia some Pinterest images she delivered such a beautiful cake. We got so many compliments on the cake and our guests loved the flavors ! We ended up getting the cookies and cream on the bottom layer and the red velvet as the top layer. All of our guests were raving about the red velvet and it was delicious we already have plans on ordering our next cake for Halloween! I've added some pictures of the cake Ofelia made and our set up. Ofelia was super responsive to my custom cookie order (even on a day they were closed) and made a dozen custom cookies for a mom-to-be, and delivered them to her at the time we requested, on the day of her virtual baby shower! I just want to say how absolutely impressed I am by Ofelia, the owner of this bakery. She went FAR beyond what I have ever seen any business do- EVER. Not only did she do a same day order, very last minute, she did it on a day on which her business had a sudden flood (it was because of the Building next door) AND she finished well after her own closing time but took her time to make sure the cake was perfect. I asked for a very simple white buttercream cake (because it was SO last minute, and this was the ONLY bakery to take it on, I didn't want to be picky or over the top!) What I received in return was a beautiful cake that you can tell she really took her time on. I CAN NOT thank you enough and will be back!!! read more
