My job is very demanding with my hands and before going to them my manicures would hardly last. The price is pretty surprising considering the quality and they honor my at times unconventional color choices. i've never gotten my nails done here, however I went there with my friend a few years ago. Her nail tech did a great job. She got acrylic nails, she did end up paying alot for them, but it was worth it. Her nails looked really nice, she even tipped them after. I would definitely recommend this salon to friends and family, as it is one of the nicer salons in Redondo Beach. It is spacious and the atmosphere is welcoming and laidback. I tried them out based on reviews I saw on NextDoor. Sang did my pedicure. Great job! I loved that I could communicate with her. I was the only one in the shop when I went which she assured me was rare. It was so quiet and pleasant. I worry about returning and having too many people there. When I get a pedi, it is a pamper session so I hate when people are on their phones or talking loudly (which happens in most places!!!)...Or when the workers are chatting loudly. Parking is okay; I wouldn't park on PCH...use the lot nearby. Would I return? Yes for the service but undecided if I want to drive that far. read more

Haley always does a great job on my gel pedicures. The price is fair / comparable to other salons in the area. And more importantly, they LAST! I also brought my daughter here and they did a lovely job on her little toes, with cute white flower designs. It's quiet, clean, and the massage chairs are a bonus. This was my 1st visit to Serenity Nails. I live across the street and was excited to support the new small business. The two employees were very nice. The service was "okay", but definitely not worth the price and add-ons. I was told it was an off day and they were short staffed. Sadly, three nails from my gel manicure chipped the next day. Three weeks later, my other gel nails and regular polish pedi are doing fine. Overall, this was probably one of the worse manicures I have had, but I am picky. The side of my nails were lumpy and dirty. The manicurist insisted in doing numerous coats of gel polish. I found a bit odd. (This tells me me she has had gel polish chip/peel off in the past.) If the nail bed has oil, it will lift. It shows she doesn't know what she is doing. The extra massage time was "eh"...Personally, I like to feel the massage. Expect to wait about 15 minutes, even with an appointment. I observed a lady get upset as she had just called ahead to ensure an appointment as she booked during her lunch break. I also waited 15 minutes in a chair without starting the foot bath... As much as I had hoped this would be my new spot, I will not return. It is unfortunate. My nails are beautiful, very happy with the finished product but the process of getting there was rough. I have multiple nicks and cuts on my cuticles from filing, one more painful and swollen than the others. One nick, sure an accident but multiple and having to dab the blood and put something on the cut is not a normal experience. This was my first time at Serenity and thought I was making a great choice with the reviews etc. but I wasn't the only person in there not happy with the experience, another customer was complaining about the surprise costs and another about the quality of their previous gel manicure. AND my pedicure was not unscathed either- my skin was all scratched up on TOP of my foot from the yellow pumice type of sponge. I had to think about if I would return or not for a couple days, if I would give them a review or not, and if you don't have sensitive skin, sure but I would not recommend this rough service to someone with thin or sensitive skin. read more

This is my third time getting my nails done here. They are a three minute walk from my home. I was hoping my nails lasted longer than the previous times. They did not. My gels chipped after four days. The only reason I'm giving three stars is for the cleanliness of the salon and the people are friendly. I learnt about this place at Pats 2 while playing pool with the owner. :) Finally made it in! Glad I did, I haven't had service like this at a nail salon in a very long time. Very impressed with this nail salon. Tried them out for the first time today (I've been underwhelmed by a number of other salons in the area) and Serenity was so good. Great choice of colors, and they have them on nail swatches so you get to see what the color will actually look like rather than hoping the bottle you pick will look good. The whole salon was very clean. My pedicure was great, I had a lovely conversation with the lady doing it, and the price was very reasonable.
