    Tri tip

When in Fernley and craving for great tasting food, it is the best place to be. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. The place is always well maintained and love the music they played. Food is affordable. Nothing beats their beef brisket and tri tip. Serving is huge, which is great for sharing.

During my travels along 80, I saw a huge sign about this restaurant. I was a tad bit sketched only because the reviews were throwing it off. I gave it a shot. After walking in, it was strange. Locals know the community but not new visitors. Not seen an Asian before? Lmao your going to get visitors all the time. I'm giving an extra star because the food was alright. Anyways, tried out their appetizers. The mozzarella sticks were delicious, fresh and seasoned. The spinach artichoke dip was great! The baked tortilla chips were fresh and soft enough to enjoy the dish. Lastly, I had their Nevada Cheesesteak. The toppings and meat was cooked but to me the sandwich was bland. Try using a different piece of bread that will make the sandwich better. Overall, my stay to visit was alright. Service was not too bad. It was locals that gave me unwelcoming vibes, I assume they are locals not sure who knows. I'd come back for another visit next time I'm passing through Fernley.

I was here a while back shortly after they opened and ordered curbside pickup. As you can see in my original review, it could've gone a lot better. Today was my first time back since then and this time, I was able to go inside and sit down for a traditional lunch service. We were greeted and seated immediately after walking in and introduced to our waitress; who was very friendly and prompt. I again went with the brisket grilled cheese and my wife ordered the tri tip plate. Both were pretty good, but I found myself thinking the same thing as last time (decent, but nothing that stands out). For the Fernley area, this isn't a bad place to eat. A lot of the other restaurants are of the fast food variety (some better than others), so Red's is one of the few where you can sit down for a traditional dinner service. While I wouldn't go out of my way for Red's, I would come back again due to the friendliness of the staff and the decent food.

First time . Good food options - good alcohol options. We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere especially the decorations ! Check them out ... Excellent service by Michelle. We will be back. Good dinner - Steak, Salmon and Clubhouse but the best was the Xangos dessert !

At this point, i am the only one to blame, for continuing to keep coming back to these dumps, especially after how horrible their food is... Now it's overflowing into the bar area. When, oh WHEN will i learn!? So, let's start off walking in the door... Our bar seating is dead ahead, about 15 feet from the entrance... Y'all know, I'm not a sheep falling for this SCAMdemic, therefore i refuse to wear a mask anywhere i go... That being said, i was asked if "i had a mask by chance" and i rolled my eyes, aggressively snickered, and said "no". How nice of the hostess to say "oh, well let me get you one" (even tho it would come off after literally 5 steps). So, i took it and walked to the bar, and threw in on the bartop, where it will stay until the barback or bartender cleans up after I leave (which is a shot in the dark, considering i had dried and stuck on food on the banister of the bar top). I ordered a side salad with "balsamic vinegarette". I didn't take a picture of it, but if you'd like to see what it looks like, just go look at the "Redi-Pac" salads at Walmart. The dressing wasn't balsamic, at all. It was like some Asian type of substance. Ohhhbut thank GAWD they actually had chicken this time. Served with their special white sauce. They should've drenched the chicken quarter in it instead of 2 squirts from the sauce bottle. To be fair, i could actually taste the "smoke" they perpetuate, really only in the skin, but it was there. The actual chicken itself had been cooked a while ago, sat in a cambro, and I'm pretty sure it was zapped in the microwave.. No tenderness at all to speak of. Remember being a kid, opening a can of tuna, draining it, and eating it right out of the can? That dry texture? That was the chicken. It's ok, i have a dental appointment tomorrow so I'll just get the remnants waterpicked out. It's was a great move, opening another Red's in Fernley from a business standpoint. Not many options in that small town, so the risk of complete failure is miniscule. But c'mon, just like the other Red's review I've posted, bartenders just HAVE to do better seeing how the food is less than mediocre. But again, I don't suppose it's fair for me to write this review, after writing a review of the one in Carson City, and obviously a glutton for punishment by going into Red's when I do. People will ask "Well why you keep going?" And my answer to that? Strictly convenience. When you're on the verge of eating a turf burrito from the Golden gate gas station, pretty much at that point anything will do. So at least make sure the drinks are on point and give the customer what they politely ask for.

Sadly, it's not on the specials this month. I decided to try the fish and chips instead. The fries were nice and crispy, and the cod was okay, although it was a little too crisp around the edges and the fish itself didn't have much flavor. The coleslaw, however, was good! My friends enjoyed their salads -- one had the Taco Salad and the other had the Crispy Chicken Salad. Of course, most of us ended up needing to-go boxes! Service was good as well. Bradley and Ruth were both pleasant and attentive. Overall, another nice lunch visit with friends!

Since they…read moreloved visiting Reno (primarily for gambling purposes), they always got an amazing prime rib or lobster dinner for a very affordable price. This takes me to the city of Fernley, NV (about 30 minutes east of Reno) where I had the opportunity in trying out "Ranch House Restaurant". This restaurant is adjacent to the "Silverado Casino" which is only a small handful of operating casinos in the Fernley area. We were both very hungry as we ventured through South Lake Tahoe, Carson City, and Virginia City, our appetite grew as the evening went on. After checking into our nearby hotel (which was luckily 1/3 mile from here) and getting washed up, we made it to the restaurant at around 7:15pm on Friday 6/19/2026. Upon entry, the interior layout looks straight out of the 1970's complete with posh booth seating, wood panels, and brick walls in a very spacious dining area. This is quite reminiscent of the old school casino restaurants in the more prominent Reno casino restaurants; mainly Silver Legacy and Nugget. Once seated, we were given two menus and requested an iced water (for myself) and a Diet Coke (for her). One minor drawback which could be a make it or break it for many is that the internal temperature of this restaurant was quite cold. My guess is that it was only around 66°F so if you plan to dine-in, come dressed accordingly! I will say that the menu is quite extensive with ton of options to choose from. This includes appetizers, all-day breakfast, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and a lot of excellent entrée choices. After making my way through the entire menu of options, I settled with the "Grilled Salmon" entrée (priced at $18.99). This consisted of a house salad, a 6 oz. filet drizzled with balsamic glaze, steamed veggies (mainly zucchini and squash), and I opted for a baked potato (that came with butter & sour cream). She chose their "Old Fashioned Cheeseburger" (priced at $12.99) which came with lettuce, tomato, pickle, & onion on a brioche bun. She opted for cheddar as her choice of cheese and the burger came with a side of seasoned steak fries. Total time took roughly 15 minutes from when we placed our orders to when we received our food. I will say this; the food here is quite delicious. My salmon was a very thick cut and at less than $20 for a salad and full entrée, you absolutely get your moneys worth. The veggies had excellent texture while my baked potato was piping hot. This isn't a 5-star dining experience with a very no-frills atmosphere but it is your above average casino food that is eerily similar to other restaurants that are adjacent to casinos that I've dined at over the decades. Our waitress, Cassandra was very polite and professional while the ambiance, price, and food was definitely above average. My rating for "Ranch House Restaurant" in Fernley, NV is a respectable four stars.

I also find it frustrating to receive different responses from staff and to have takeout packaging vary from one visit to the next. I almost always order the same thing because they truly have the best taco salad. When I order it to go, I always request extra salsa and sour cream. However, the experience seems to vary each time--sometimes I receive pico de gallo, sometimes salsa, and sometimes neither of the items I asked for. I've also noticed that ordering late in the evening usually goes smoothly. The morning, afternoon, and early evening shifts seem to be where the experience is less consistent. At times, I hesitate before placing an order because I wonder whether it will be worth dealing with missing items again. It may seem like a small issue, but when it happens repeatedly, it becomes frustrating. Consistency matters, especially for loyal customers. I hope management can address these issues so every guest receives the same level of service, regardless of the time of day. On this particular night, Rogelio was very helpful in assisting the new cashier/server, Sydney. I also appreciate Sophie, who stepped in towards the end and helped keep things running smoothly. Sydney remained calm throughout, and even though she was obviously new, she was still pleasant and did a good job.
