Down home goodness in food fare. Service is fun and prompt. A wonderful place that brings the Native American history to life!

We just bought property in the neighborhood so we've been here a few times during the shopping and purchasing process. It was recommended by the realtor and we love it! The decor is full of native artifacts and old pictures, it has an old diner vibe but it's clean and cozy. They have a salad bar and so far we've liked almost everything we've ordered. (Wasn't crazy about the nachos, cheese wiz type cheese wasn't great) the club, blt and breakfast sandwich were all great. Service is fast and very nice;) so happy to have this little gem so close to the new property:)

    Eggs, ham, potatoes, pineapple mimosa

Second time trying this place as the first time was Easter and was just a mediocre experience but the menu looked decent. I like an array of food and always looking for great wings. Got the egg breakfast with home cooked potatoes and ham. It was edible but nothing to write home about. Flavorless potatoes, eggs were okay with salt and pepper added, toast was more like bread with butter and barely toasted. Way too soft but i didn't want to have to wait for a new order. They don't have a liquor license so we had to get our mimosas at the bar. Bartender wasn't around the first few minutes and the hostess said she would let us know when she was back. That didn't happen. When i went back the second time to the bar she was there. They were 5.00 each and just okay, not in a champagne flute which was okay, but funny considering the environment felt like things are not real customer friendly and more like a half hearted attempt to keep up with other restaurants. Also being picky, i can't stand that their forks only have 3 prongs and not 4. Why? Those are seafood / dessert forks. Modern times invented 4 tines for a reason. Spearing the potatoes was fine, but had to work at scooping my food up. The worst part about the experience was the wings. They're soggy on the inside and they confirmed it's Tysons frozen chicken wings. I don't make Tysons frozen wings at home because frozen breaded chicken wings are gross, but it appears to be all we have in Fernley, aside from the Mexican restaurant in the casino that has amazing wings. It was supposed to come with fries but didn't. We got the fries to go without hassle. 11.00 for those wings was crazy. The eggs Benedict is reportedly good so that was the only plus about spending $60 on an egg breakfast, wings, and eggs Benedict. Won't be going back for a few years when they hopefully have a better understanding on quality food, and maybe a liquor license (or better drink options for casino restaurant).

Chef Bryan was a very personable guy, loved his passion for his food , his establishment and how much of his inspiration comes from honoring his fathers legacy, you can see it and feel it just talking to him. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza and it was great , loved how super thin and crispy the crust was. We also ordered the fried artichoke hearts and they were nicely seasoned and served with a marinara dipping sauce!! Gotta save some room for dessert and the house made cannoli , crisp outside with rich and creamy filling....A+ The restaurant is filled with antiques, collectibles, sports memorabilia, taxidermy, toys, photos of family and friends , along with an upstairs antique museum, a pool hall/arcade room across the courtyard and another building loaded with antiques!! The courtyard has old signage and antique lanterns everywhere, lots to see and enjoy. The cool part about all of the eye candy is that you can actually buy most of the antiques displayed throughout the property if the price is right!! Great spot with a great down home vibe, you will leave feeling like you just made a new friend in Bryan and that he just invited you over to his house for a great home made pizza dinner and let you browse his antique collection while you were waiting!!Love to see someone doing something unique because you are passionate about it and I can tell that honoring your fathers legacy is important to you and that makes Papa's extra special..... Great job Bryan, see you around my friend!! Cheers!!

Since they…read moreloved visiting Reno (primarily for gambling purposes), they always got an amazing prime rib or lobster dinner for a very affordable price. This takes me to the city of Fernley, NV (about 30 minutes east of Reno) where I had the opportunity in trying out "Ranch House Restaurant". This restaurant is adjacent to the "Silverado Casino" which is only a small handful of operating casinos in the Fernley area. We were both very hungry as we ventured through South Lake Tahoe, Carson City, and Virginia City, our appetite grew as the evening went on. After checking into our nearby hotel (which was luckily 1/3 mile from here) and getting washed up, we made it to the restaurant at around 7:15pm on Friday 6/19/2026. Upon entry, the interior layout looks straight out of the 1970's complete with posh booth seating, wood panels, and brick walls in a very spacious dining area. This is quite reminiscent of the old school casino restaurants in the more prominent Reno casino restaurants; mainly Silver Legacy and Nugget. Once seated, we were given two menus and requested an iced water (for myself) and a Diet Coke (for her). One minor drawback which could be a make it or break it for many is that the internal temperature of this restaurant was quite cold. My guess is that it was only around 66°F so if you plan to dine-in, come dressed accordingly! I will say that the menu is quite extensive with ton of options to choose from. This includes appetizers, all-day breakfast, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and a lot of excellent entrée choices. After making my way through the entire menu of options, I settled with the "Grilled Salmon" entrée (priced at $18.99). This consisted of a house salad, a 6 oz. filet drizzled with balsamic glaze, steamed veggies (mainly zucchini and squash), and I opted for a baked potato (that came with butter & sour cream). She chose their "Old Fashioned Cheeseburger" (priced at $12.99) which came with lettuce, tomato, pickle, & onion on a brioche bun. She opted for cheddar as her choice of cheese and the burger came with a side of seasoned steak fries. Total time took roughly 15 minutes from when we placed our orders to when we received our food. I will say this; the food here is quite delicious. My salmon was a very thick cut and at less than $20 for a salad and full entrée, you absolutely get your moneys worth. The veggies had excellent texture while my baked potato was piping hot. This isn't a 5-star dining experience with a very no-frills atmosphere but it is your above average casino food that is eerily similar to other restaurants that are adjacent to casinos that I've dined at over the decades. Our waitress, Cassandra was very polite and professional while the ambiance, price, and food was definitely above average. My rating for "Ranch House Restaurant" in Fernley, NV is a respectable four stars.

The ribs were pretty good--tender and moist--but could have used a little more BBQ sauce. The coleslaw was tasty, and the baked beans were okay, though both were seasoned on the lighter side. Our server, Parker, was pleasant, attentive, and accommodated all of our requests. She did her best despite the restaurant appearing to be short-staffed. Overall, the experience was okay, but the restaurant could benefit from stronger management support and better staffing levels. Service quality is likely to be impacted if these challenges continue, and it already seemed like employee morale may be suffering. Hopefully the team receives the support they need, as there is still good potential here.

I also find it frustrating to receive different responses from staff and to have takeout packaging vary from one visit to the next. I almost always order the same thing because they truly have the best taco salad. When I order it to go, I always request extra salsa and sour cream. However, the experience seems to vary each time--sometimes I receive pico de gallo, sometimes salsa, and sometimes neither of the items I asked for. I've also noticed that ordering late in the evening usually goes smoothly. The morning, afternoon, and early evening shifts seem to be where the experience is less consistent. At times, I hesitate before placing an order because I wonder whether it will be worth dealing with missing items again. It may seem like a small issue, but when it happens repeatedly, it becomes frustrating. Consistency matters, especially for loyal customers. I hope management can address these issues so every guest receives the same level of service, regardless of the time of day. On this particular night, Rogelio was very helpful in assisting the new cashier/server, Sydney. I also appreciate Sophie, who stepped in towards the end and helped keep things running smoothly. Sydney remained calm throughout, and even though she was obviously new, she was still pleasant and did a good job.

We were handed a one sided menu and saw many people who ordered à la carte had a huge menu. The options for rolls were awful and EVERYTHING was packed with rice. Mt boyfriend loves all the raw sushi and couldn't stomach half of the stuff that came out. We waited forever for our rolls and were airways feeling full by the appetizers. And they charge $1 for every piece you don't eat, although it's mostly rice. I also watched a female "chef" be very rude to one of the servers, treating her like she was stupid. A work environment I would not put up with. The one thing I'd recommend is the muscles, they were good. Everything else was not good.

All You Can Wait Sushi (And Wait. And Wait. And Wait.)…read more We walked into Sushi Moto on a Thursday night as a party of five and found the place completely empty. In hindsight, this was not "good luck," it was foreshadowing. We were excited for all-you-can-eat sushi and dutifully filled out their little order slip like people who still believed in systems and process. My wife, who isn't a sushi fan, ordered a bento box. The bento arrived promptly. We told her to go ahead and eat. She did. She finished. She had time to question her life choices, achieve personal growth, and possibly age a year. Meanwhile, the rest of us were still waiting for sushi that had apparently been filed under "optional." Other tables arrived. They ordered. They received food. They ate. They probably went home, tucked their kids into bed, and watched a show. We, however, were still sitting there being periodically checked on by wait staff who appeared to be earning extra credit for their civics class. "Everything okay?" they asked. What we needed was sushi. What we had was an endurance trial. Multiple times, they asked us what we had ordered, strongly suggesting our original order slip had been eaten by the building. Eventually, they stopped pretending and just started sending us random sushi like some kind of cursed seafood gacha game. About an hour and a half in, my wife started feeling unwell and went to wait in the car. Remember that. It gets worse. Eventually, sushi began to arrive. Unfortunately, this is when we realized the people behind the counter were not "chefs" so much as enthusiastic participants in a fish-related crime spree. The nigiri was easily four times normal size. Each piece was a structural engineering project. The rice portions were so excessive they could have been used for disaster relief. The fish looked like it had been torn apart using either a butter knife or a small piece of farm equipment. This was not sushi. This was rice-forward performance art. At some point, the manager or owner came over. She sounded exactly like the woman who says, "Your Bluetooth device is ready to pair," which was fitting, because nothing else in this establishment seemed properly connected. She asked if everything was alright. We were still missing a huge portion of our order. My youngest son, driven to madness by the endless wait for his crab sushi, finally snapped and started eating the lemon rinds off other plates like a Victorian street urchin who had lost all hope. We finally gave up at the three-hour mark. Not because we had all we could eat. But because we had all we could endure. We paid in full and left, having achieved neither satisfaction nor nourishment. Outside, we found my wife in significantly worse shape than when we left her. She was green, visibly ill, and vomited on the way home. Later that night, she ended up in the ER and was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis. I am not saying Sushi Moto caused this. I am simply laying out the timeline. The coincidence, however, is cinematically cruel. In summary: * Service operates on a mystical, unknowable schedule * Orders are more of a vibe than a system * Nigiri is served in Godzilla scale * Rice is apparently applied with a snow shovel * "All you can eat" is technically true if you bring camping gear and emotional support If you're hungry, go literally anywhere else. If you're looking for a three-hour psychological experiment featuring fish, confusion, and regret, Sushi Moto has you covered.
