The staff were friendly, smiling, and genuinely made me want to come back. The appetizers came with sweet and sour sauce, hot mustard, soy sauce, and a generous stack of napkins. It's a little thing, but I appreciated it. After I ran into the nail place to let my wife try what I thought was amazing, we decided it was gonna be dinner. Later, I came back and ordered two combo plates and a chicken fried rice. My combo came with chow mein, orange peel chicken, and General Chicken. My wife's came with fried rice and Kung Pao Chicken. The orange peel chicken actually had large pieces of orange peel in it, giving it brightness, sweetness, and acidity. The chow mein was flavorful enough that it didn't need soy sauce at all. The problem wasn't flavor. It was texture. The spice level was perfect, the vegetables were uniformly cut and perfectly cooked, and there were peanuts throughout that added a nice crunch. Nothing was undercooked, oversized, or awkward to eat.
