I used to love this place and look forward to visiting when we went through Paw Paw, but I had horrible service tonight. I tried twice to ask our server how long the order would take. We waited 25 minutes and couldn't get her attention. I know it was busy, but we had somewhere to be and had to walk away from $17 of food, because the server couldn't tell us how long it would take. The food was awesome the last time I had it, but we won't be back. No reason for hot dogs to take that long. We didn't order fries on purpose. read more

You wanted the best you got the best! The greatest coney cheese dogs in the world! RED'S!!!!!! This place is amazing. If you want that great fast food and a vintage atmosphere this is the place! It's been a weekly routine now to stop in and grab a couple coney cheese dogs and a large root beer which is amazing and they brew in house. You hardly get a nice big frosty mug anywhere so that was a huge bonus. You have to come in during strawberry season and have their strawberry short cake sundae it's amazing! But come in for the great service. Tim aka Red will more than likely stop by to welcome you and make you feel right at home, such a great person. This place is perfect to come grab burgers with the homies, take you're date out for a twist cone or shake, or a nice dinner with the family. Best food in Paw Paw by far! Love their burgers and fries. I work in Paw Paw and go there for lunch 2-3 times a week. I usually hate pickles on my hamburgers, but their pickles make the burger even better. A lot of the time, the owner comes out to greet you and make sure the food and service is good. Our family loves Red's Root Beer! We're always bummed when they close for the winter and we excitedly look forward to the reopening every Spring. The food is good and there's a lot of choices, the root beer is just right, not too sweet. The owner is often present and he walks from car to car greeting people and making sure they are satisfied. Our family use to be regulars at Red's. We noticed the environment going down hill a bit when car hops were yelling at each other for 'stealing' their customers. Then a couple orders were not correct or completely missed. I tried to talk to the owner about this experience but he kept cutting me off and said he will give us a free coney dog on our next visit. I had the foot long chili dog and it was delicious. This is NOT your skinny A&W chili dog! This thing is huge and tasty! We are talking 1" diameter. I ordered the basket with fries and I ate all of the hot dog but I only ate a few fries and I was stuffed. Considering I live only a short drive from here it's really unbelievable that this was my first visit. It's actually my daughter who's been begging for me to take her after she stopped with friends once before. So after a day at the beach we be ventured over for lunch. Service was very quick and friendly, all the servers looked to be younger high school age kids which made their service more impressive. Friendly, attentive, and always buzzing around clearing tables, trash, even sweeping in the lot. Kids had hot dogs, fries, and onion rings, and they enjoyed every bite. I tried the diet root beer, very good, and a Chicago Dog. It was fantastic, just the right amount of everything with a very delicious poppy seed bun. Nostalgic fun on a summer day in August. We were heading back from Chicago and got off I-94 at Exit 60. When we don't know where to eat, we make a game out of it. Today I suggested we stop at the 4th place on the right that wasn't Chinese and so we did! Brought back fond memories of eating at a true drive-in and while we didn't opt to have our food on a tray hanging off the car window, we could have! But on a beautiful summer day, we sat at one of their 6-7 picnic tables by the car. The place was pretty full for a Monday at almost 1 pm. We each had a sandwich basket which included fries (crunchy crinkle ones) and either applesauce or coleslaw. We both chose coleslaw which was good and very cold which I love!!! I'm not fond of cool or room temperature mayonnaise based salads. But what were our sandwiches you ask? I had a Swiss Mushroom Burger (good and gooey) and hubby had the fish sandwich which had a large long piece of fish that didn't fit well in a round bun. He still liked all the flavors. OH.....and the wait staff was very pleasant to interact with, too. ENJOY!! read more

I just love going here. They have great food and some of the nicest staff. The fried pickles are a must eat. The owner will be there sometimes and is very friendly, giving out small samples of certain foods that are on the menu. Love that I can eat in my car.
