However, red Savoy in St. Louis Park does an admirable job re-creating the original I'll be at no cafeteria trays For the pizza to be served on. Finally had a chance to try Red's Savoy. The pizza was good; thin crust, cut into squares, great for parties! We also tried the boneless wings are tasty (small and very crispy), however I wish they had sauce they can coat them in. Overall great pizza! the sauce is sweet and savory, the thin crust is fantastic, and overall they do not hold back on the toppings, and the pizza is flavorful and hearty. The dining area is clean, small, and more for a quick bite and not for a large party or family, and the staff has been a delight. Definitely give them a try if you love thin crust pizza like I do oh and their cheezy garlic bread is awesome too with a side of pizza sauce. Sis and I were visiting this part of the Twin Cities due to a January YEE. It was dinner time, so we drove around and saw the Red Savoy's sign. Let's do pizza! The place looked small from the outside, but Google said they had dine in, not just delivery/ carry out. I've heard from people that it's good pizza. Walking in, I was under-whelmed by the dine in seating. Just a bar counter and 5 stools facing the window/ parking lot. But it's gonna have to do since we were 40 mins from home and weren't planning on takeout. There was a menu on the counter. Not many choices, so we got the Red's Special (basically a Supreme). I wanted to try something new, so I also ordered the Chicken Bacon Mac. We waited 20 mins for everything to cook and then was brought out in to-go containers. Fine, I can pull pizza out of a cardboard box. But what about the CB Mac. I was sharing with my sister... no plates/ bowls. At least they gave us forks. Truthfully, I'm not sure what the big deal is about Red Savoy's. I like a doughy crust. This was a thin crust. Lots of big, chunky toppings, which makes it a messy meal. Would have better with a plate to hold under my chin to catch the rogue peppers as they fall out. Good amount of cheese covering the top. Previous reviews stated the red sauce is spicy. I did not feel like the sauce was spicy (Caliente) at all. It was mild in flavor when compared to the onion and pepper toppings. I would compare this pizza to be similar to a frozen Lotssa Mottza or Heggies. Now the Chicken Bacon Mac. That stole the show with flavor and melted gooey cheesiness! Strong flavor of bacon. Penne cooked perfectly and slightly crisp along the edges on the tinfoil container. I would get this again but with garlic bread too. I'm kind of looking forward to bringing this for my Friday lunch at work. As far as the staff and facility, it was cleaned and the tables stocked with napkins. The guy that took our order and brought it out to us was very kind and professional. The parking lot had adequate parking, and it was plowed with minimal ice patches. read more

First of all, the pizza is fantastic. Every time I go in. I usually just go in for the lunch special because one piece is like two meals worth for me. Secondly the people who work at the highway seven location are always so friendly and kind. I'm always greeted with a smile and they just ask the right questions to make sure I'm getting what I want and have a good experience. Yes I know it's just a slice of pizza, but they make sure I'm good on drinks and everything else before checking me out. I said something to the worker and he didn't say much, I didn't get refunded or a coupon for a new pizza. Had the Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza with extra sauce, the Baked Penne, and the Italian Salad, to go. The pizza was salty (the entire group commented on that). I'm not sure if that might have been because of the extra sauce? And no one found or tasted any bacon in the pizza (a group of 6 of all feel confident there was no bacon) and it was supposed to. But I did enjoy the pizza overall and wouldn't mind trying it again but without the extra sauce, The Baked Penne was really good and had ample amount of meat (Italian sausage I think). No complaints on the Italian Salad either. When I placed the order online it said it would be ready in 20 minutes, but I arrived 3 minutes after that and it still took another 17 minutes (so it took 40 minutes when I was told 20 minutes). I'm pretty sure they didn't put it in the oven until after I arrived and checked in. I believe the local store has the power to change the time when it would be ready so I'm putting that on them. I do like Red Savoy and would try again but think they can do better on setting proper expectations. read more

Got the inferno and it's a really tasty pizza, the toppings are great. But for the name Inferno it has heat comparable to maybe what Taco Bell considered "fire", but with much better flavor. Still a great pie, just don't expect too much heat. read more

The pizza itself is ok but i think you can easily get much better. As far as I can tell, any claim to the pizza being different or better than standard chains is overblown by far and probably just marketing. I tried the mid day deal where you can just buy a slice thinking I would be trying something exceptional but it was fairly mediocre and afterwards I couldn't believe I just paid $6 for a single slice that to me seemed like what I could get at a speedway gas station for $1.50. A lot of marketing without a quality product yet with a premium +++ price doesn't really make sense. read more
