They of course keep it clean and the lights low. Just how I like to enjoy a meal. There is places to eat inside or you are more than welcome to get your food to go but good luck on that to go option. One sniff of that container you're going to be upset you didn't stay to eat. It is counter service. You place your order and then your food is made. So do not go rushing. They make each order once it is placed. Of course you can call ahead and hope it's ready or close to ready when you get there but do not rush perfection. Now to the food! The food! The food! The burger is really hard to get down. And not because it tastes bad, but because it's a mega all beef never frozen burger patty. Yes you read that correctly. If you're feeling really risky, like my child, order the double meat and see if you can finish it. He got down to two bites and had to call it quits. And that was after forcing more than five bites over his limit. Fries are actually fresh cut Idaho potatoes. I think they are Idaho. Heck I'm not sure. Just order them. Seriously! Had a bacon burger. My burger was good. I'm not sure why the reviews are so low. The fries were hand cut and they have kool aid 3 flavors with hospital ice. Which makes the beverages taste better period. Lol I checked the full menu and they have breakfast items, wings and tacos. Service was quick and didn't take long to get my food. They have a few chairs and tables to sit in if you dine in. The parking was a little weird. But it's seems like it's parking on the street. Would definitely go back and try the other items. This was one of the best burgers ever! The burger was a good size, with an excellent meat to bun ratio. It took a while for our meals to be served, but when we received them, I understood why...the meat was thick and cooked and seasoned to perfection! Four stars because the place is really small and extremely hot inside. Central air is badly needed. Parking is extremely limited so you have to park on the street. I went 06.09.24 & it was hot on the inside not sure if A/C was out but trying to eat in Texas heat with no A/C is unpleasant. National Burger Day calls for a burger joint review. Since I visited exactly on that day, I decided to give this legend a proper review. This place has been around for a bit. The old location was located further down Emancipation in EADO. This fresh spot is now in the Third Ward area. As of this post, they've done some interior decorating. The faux greenery gives it a nice touch. You can now take social media pics by the neon Sparkle sign. There are tables available, but the place is a bit tight. Most just order to go. Updated menu. Now more breakfast items are available along with a few new burger options and loaded fries and salad is now an option. The haul: Double cheeseburger with fries and large Kool-Ade. If the burger would have had mine salt and pepper on it, I would have sworn my grandma came back to life. Still good. Just saying. Fries are thick and seasoned, just you have to get to them fast or you will have limp potato. That Kool-Ade.....man look. Let that ice melt some in it. I didn't know what to expect, and tried this place just for something quick near me. Wow. The burgers are huge! I got the double cheeseburger ($11), and it was amazing. The wedge fries are well seasoned and a great portion! The wait time was a bit long, and only cash or Cash app can be used for payment, but the size of the burgers and the great flavor made up for that. Seasoned and buttery with a hint of lemon. The fries are extremely good; cut fresh from real, not frozen potatoes and seasoned perfectly. Service: Order came out in really good time, but I can see how they might be backed up on a busy day being that everything's made fresh to order (which shouldn't be an issue if you want real food). Ouch!! They got me on the soft drinks! I was excited to find that Sparkle's Burger Spot had survived the COVID lockdown and relocated to a new location. They are rebranded as "Sparkle's Burger & Daiquiri Spot. They now had a couple of dine-in tables, so my wife and I dropped in for a burger, fries and soft drinks. The bacon cheeseburger and fries were great, and still very reasonably priced. Somehow the total costs did not appear right, so a check of the receipt showed that the root beer and Dr. Pepper (they didn't have Coke) clocked in a $5 each. The drinks came with what appearred to a commemorative "Sparkles" label and rang up as "Sparkles Exotic Soda". I will make future visits for the food, but I will be sure to ask the price of the beverages BEFORE indulging. read more

The burger I had was sensational!! Each one is made to order. The beef patty is huge and very well seasoned! They can add or remove whatever toppings you'd like. They also offer several drink options including kool-aid! If you know, you know the colors make the drink. They have the red and purple, sometimes the blue. No flavor explanation needed! The wait time is somewhat similar to Whataburger since each item is made to order but the quality and portion size, in comparison, is off the chart!! The fries are hand cut and flash fried making them thick and hearty. The restaurant is quaint. Small, but you do have the option to eat inside. Usually, when I place an order I wait in my car and get out to check periodically for the order to be called for pick up. I would absolutely return to Sparkle. Just keep in mind, the street/intersection that the restaurant is located on is VERY BUSY during the weekend. Because of the high traffic volume, parking can be difficult to find. I was excited to try this place, especially because it is black owned and I want to support, however I am disappointed. I thought about this overnight before i wrote it because i didnt want to find something that i could high light after saying I did not enjoy the food at all...but I can only say, i believe if "time' had been put in to cooking "my" food it would have gotten a better rating. I ordered the cheeseburger with jalapenos. The first disappointment was the cheese was not melted on the burger. The meat was seasoned "ok" but it fell apart as I took bites into the burger. The burger was not appealing in look and just tasted like something "thrown" together. The fries were "ok"...i only at three of them because the texture was hard on most of them and the ONE i did eat was good but cold. We ordered burgers and fries and this was the first time that the burgers were so dry and burnt the food took about 40 min and my fries were cold, they also charged me for bacon but didn't put any on there and when I told them they said they're out of bacon but I was more upset with the burnt and super dry burger the cheese wasn't even melted on the burger smh please do better yall read more

I've been dying to try this place after hearing so much about their food for years. It's black owned and I'm all here for that! Yassss! Placing the order was quick and easy and there was no line. After about 20-25 mins which seemed like forever, my food was ready. I don't mind waiting if my food is hot and tasty. All I got was a cheeseburger and it was good! It was really good, thick patty, grilled onions grilled just right, bun toasted and just enough mayo and mustard to fulfill every bite. I was satisfied. The reason I gave my review 3 stars is b/c of the young man who took my order. Face masks are required at the moment. All staff and guests should have one on and worn properly to avoid exposure. He wore his mask like a chin guard. He never once adjusted his mask to fit over his nose and mouth. 2nd was his hands. His fingernails were so black underneath it looked like he was scraping mud! That's not what I want to see at a place that handles my food! If I would have noticed his nails before I ordered, I would not have. It seems you don't come here for service but for food. The parking lot is mixed between 2 side spots at the back and 3 upfront, most park along the street. I can admit the staff isn't the most personable but efficient. The menu is vast and has a lot to offer. I ordered a burger, fries and a slice of cake. The patties are about half pound each, I had to remove one. The fries were fresh and my favorite home style. Luckily I got there right before the rush, my food took only 15 min.
