I contacted Redstar Construction to have 3 bathrooms remodeled. I was initially told that the project would take up to 2 months. The first few weeks, the contractors started off okay. They showed up everyday for work, there were no issues. By the 3rd week I noticed that the contractors were not showing up. I was informed by the owner of the company that the delay was due to the pandemic; however, when I spoke to the workers, I was informed that they were sent to other jobs. Long story short, it took 4 months to complete my project leaving my family with completely demolished bathrooms (upstairs) and having to go downstairs for 4 months to use a half bathroom. Throughout the project, I had multiple complaints about bathroom items not being put together correctly (vanity, toilet, mirror). I complained to the owner and he called me "difficult". Once finished, I noticed that I had a loud noise coming from behind the walls when I ran my bathroom faucet. I was informed by independent contracted plumbers that there was a plumbing problem. The only way to fix the problem was to pull the brand new vanities and mirrors and make several holes in the wall to find and fix the problem. I was also informed that "it wasn't worth tearing down my newly remodeled bathrooms." I complained to the owner of Redstar Construction since I've never had "plumbing problems" prior to my bath remodel. There was an "attempt" to fix the problem without tearing out the walls, however the problem was never fully resolved. The whole project was a nightmare. I was left with nice looking bathrooms and lifelong plumbing problems. read more

We hired Stan to demolish and build a new patio deck with balcony back in May. First initial contact was impressive. Stan provided a reasonable quote, very details how things would be done, and gave me a timeline of 1-2 weeks for the job to be completed. It was my mistake that I didn't ask Stan to put down date to start and finish in the contract. Upon agreed, I wired half of the fund so he could start. It took his people about 2, 3 days to demolish, so it went smooth at the beginning. Then the long waiting process started. It took literately 2 months for Stan and his people to finish building a 12'x14' patio deck with top balcony. I understand my $12k job probably nothing much to Stan but it's considered big project for us. So, I would also understand 1 month waiting period but 2 months not to mention totally lack of communication during this process. Anyway, we were satisfied with his work so I paid the remaining balance but ask him to fill all the holes on the house outside walls from removing old patio against everyone else advice to hold off the remaining payment until that task completed. Additionally, I even asked Stan to repair the fence run along back of the property. He agreed, scheduled, promised to fill all the holes whist working on the fence later on, and would let me know when coming back. It's been 3 months. Texted him last week or so asking him to send people back to fill the holes as promised, and as I didn't expect him to work on the fence anymore. Got no respond whatsoever. Wish I could him more than 2 stars. I now hope that the patio will stand long enough since no way I could get ahold of him now. read more

We were having the master bath retiled and found that under the toilet around the flange there was a leak and the subfloor was rotted around the flange. Had 2 plumbers come out. One didn't do that type of work and another had an employee who had done that type of work and were supposed to get back to us with an estimate but never responded. A handyman came out and recommended we remove the rotted wood and fill it with an auto bond to seal it. After we removed all the rotted wood there was a hole at the bottom and couldn't find any support beams to make the repair. I called Redstar and they were out the next day and made the repair the following day. They created a reinforced box for the new subfloor that is completely flush with the other floor. Before the repair when you walked on the dry floor it had a little give and now there is no give. It's completely solid and I feel safe selling the house knowing that there is no potential danger of that area giving away. They were awesome from beginning to end. Luis did the work and did an excellent job. Stan, the owner came out to inspect the work and give us a certification for the work. This company is outstanding in workmanship, customer service and satisfaction. I highly recommend them! read more
