I liked the previous doctor, but wasn't thrilled that the practice was sold until I showed up for an appointment. The prior dentist had such a lovely beside manner. However, multiple fillings I had done have cracked within 12 months. The new dentist I think perhaps is trying to market to a different clientele...while I was in the chair having a filling fixed, I was accosted to sign something on an iPad saying I would pay the bill lol. Every bill for the prior dentist I had paid immediately upon receiving. Also, how are you positive what my insurance is going to reimburse? I just felt it was tacky. I had a filling fall out and made an appointment to have it fixed. I show up, wait past my appointment and then am told that they were just going to look at my tooth, not fix it. After pointing out the girl on the phone assured me I could have it fixed, the dentist begrudgingly agreed to fix it. It was the most painful dental experience of my life. I also cannot chew on this tooth ever since. Lastly, I was told I had several teeth that needed fillings and was going to have those done. I switched dentists and my new dentist in Lynnfield assured me my teeth are healthy and do not need fillings...odd. I'm sad that I have to change my review because I did personally like the previous dentist, but based in the quality of the work of multiple broken new fillings, how the buyout was handled and quality of the practice since the buyout I wanted to update my review to more accurately reflect my experience read more

There's something very sketchy about this place. I made an appointment roughly 6 months for myself and my dad after having a bad experience with my previous dentist. I picked Reading Dental Associates because of the good reviews and the availability of both a dentist and periodontist. Fast forward to now. First, my appointment somehow vanished. Whoever I spoke to last week on the phone claimed I hadn't made an appointment. Huh. I've got e-mails that say otherwise. But what do you know - they have lots of availability. Odd. Usually the dentists in the Reading area are booked out months in advance. Appointment rescheduled. Now they start trying to upsell me to an annual dental plan that I can prepay in advance. I told them to send me the details in writing. Keep in mind that all health care prices, including dental, have to be in writing and upfront when you ask for it. And yet the didn't provide the pricing so I have no idea what they are asking me to pay. I ignore it. Today we show up. Apparently they are short staffed as we waited 10 or 15 minutes while someone ahead of us walked through an expensive contract and pricing quote that wasn't going to be completely covered by his dental insurance. HIPAA anyone? Our turn. And they immediately started trying to convince me to prepay in advance for a year. I pointed out their legal obligations and that they haven't told me what any of this costs. $530 One dental cleaning costs $530. For context, my old dentist up the street from Reading Dental Associates charged $182.70. But this prepaid annual plan of theirs provides 2 cleanings every year for only $490 per cleaning. Gee what a deal. You could pay almost half your monthly social security check or just sign almost the whole thing over to them. What a bargain. I told them to cancel our appointments. We'll go elsewhere. Two minutes after walking out the door they sent me an e-mail: "I hope things are well with you. I was speaking with the doctor and we noticed that you have not scheduled a 6-month dental cleaning appointment. It is highly recommended to have a dental cleaning at least twice a year for optimal oral health. We'd love for you to come in for a regular check-up and a professional cleaning with our hygienist." sketchy sketchy sketchy..... save yourself time and money (and privacy) and go elsewhere. read more

This place is a scam. I Went there to get a cleaning, before I went in they charged me $25 for fluoride. After my x-rays they determined I needed a periodontal scaling and root planning. They told me I could use the $25 as a credit toward that since I did not get the cleaning and didn't use it. I got quoted for $767.60 if I paid up front. I told the girl at the desk that didn't sound right. She rolled her eyes and said she could go through this process that would take a few days to go through with the enthusiasm of Ben Stein. I told her to forget about it. I'm 35, I've never been misquoted on a bill ever in my life so I trusted them. I told them I needed a day or two to pay. I called on the Friday before my procedure to pay for it but the girl told me that billing wasn't there and they will call back for the payment if they need it before my visit and if they don't I can pay when I get there. On Monday I told the girl about my credit and to pay for everything. I go in Tuesday, for the second half of the procedure, and she asks me how I would like to pay? I thought it was taking care of yesterday? She said I charged you the first half yesterday the other half today. Both times I didn't check the amount because I figured it was taken care of. Couple days later I check and I got charged $384 and $424 which equals $833 which is $90.40 more than the $742.60 I should've paid with the $25 credit. I E-mail the billing to let them know and I got the most idiotic, Pompous response from Jeff Gatley saying they will not refund me my money. Then the worst part is I get my insurance claim letter a month later and it says I should've only paid $265.88! So now they owed me $567.12. I called and told them this and they said they would check and send a refund if it checks out. They refunded me $417.32 the next day. If I had never got that letter and called you know damn well they were keeping that money. Which leaves me to wonder where my other $149.80 went to. Long story short, the girl at the desk is an idiot, the girl who worked on my teeth was actually super nice and did a great job, their billing company is rude and dumb. I will never go back and you should never start. I don't even leave reviews, I made this specifically to warn people if you go here make sure you talk to your insurance first before you pay for anything. read more

Very disappointed! As a patient, I feel I deserve the courtesy of being told that the business was sold BEFORE I show up for my scheduled appointment. Dr. Iebba left with no notice and closed out her books leaving me without my credit. New practice will not honor it, acknowledge that they owe me money, or return calls. read more

Initially I was very excited to find a dentist so close to home for my three children and myself. I had chipped my front tooth and was charged $1500 to have it repaired only to have the composite fall off three times! I also began the Invisalign process but the office staff never confirmed my two dental insurances which would save me $4000. Instead, they wanted a percentage of the full cost. I found the office unwilling to work with me. The office manager Lily ignored my emails and phone calls to make an arrangement, one that considers my insurance. I was eager to proceed as I had already paid hundreds out of pocket towards impressions and Invisalign treatment plan . Never have I visited a dentist that didn't pre-authorize treatment by confirming insurance. Lily was rude and unprofessional. And inept. I've since moved on to another dentist. read more

Dr. Iebba and her staff are terrific. I have been a patient here for over 20 years and have never been happier with my care at this practice. There is never a wait and scheduling an appointment has never been easier. All of my dental work, cosmetic to routine dental work and bridge work has been done with the up most expertise.
