I have a very complicated prescription. On my first visit my exam was rushed. My follow up for my contact lens trial was with a different provider. The lenses didn't work. She made an adjustment. I picked up the second trial a week later. I did not try them in the office this time. I took them home they also did not work. I called to make an appointment with the original provider who wouldn't be able to see me for a month. They suggested a third provider. I was disappointed with the lack of consistency of my care. I felt there wasn't an appreciation of my complicated prescription or a willingness to work with me to find a solution. read more

made an appointment here days ago here for an eye exam. I received several emails with the title "appointment confirmation" and all the necessary information CONFIRMING my future appointment. I was told while I was already on my way from a very far distance that they "tried to call me again this morning" to confirm the appointment (which had already been done) and since I was unable to answer while I was in a doctors appointment, they canceled it without telling me. No voicemail, no email. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere that honors their appointments and respects their customers time. read more

I had been coming to Redstone Eye Associates for the past few years and was very satisfied. My eye prescription is pretty high and as I am getting older I wanted an extra thorough exam this year. I'd wondered if a 'chain store' eye exam would be as high quality as a private doctor's. I did some research and found that 1) the local private eye doctors charge hundreds of dollars for many of the same services that Redstone offers as part of their routine exam and 2) there were extra services available at Redstone that I could pay for out of pocket for a very reasonable price. I opted for the extra service at Redstone. And I was glad I did! The staff were friendly and helpful as always and saw me exactly at my appointment time. Dr. Bona was excellent - easy to talk to and knowledgeable; he answered all of my questions in language I could understand. I never felt pressured or rushed. My exam was every bit as thorough and informative as I could have hoped for. In the end, there was no need to go seeking a private doctor. We had our yearly eye check somewhere else last year. Since we moved to the new town we were planing to find something new. I am quite happy we found this one. Compare to the one before, this place is much better and more professional every way. I called multiple place and ask them whether they accept my insurance, this place was very friendly on the phone and checked our information through their system quickly and told me they can do it. One other place was asking me to call my insurance place myself and check. Both the doctor and the nurse are very professional and very nice and pleasant to talk to. The forms we fill in when we first walked in were very clear so we could know the cost and some services we can choose. My husband will go again for contact lens fitting in a few days(85$ here), If there is any update I will post it here again. read more

I have never been charged for an eye exam in the forty years I have had to have one...Until yesterday!!!...At every other eye doctor, the insurance payment was adequate enough to satisfy them...But not Redstone Eye Associates, they demanded another $35, on top of what they get from my insurance company...I should have known something was wrong when one of the boxes they asked me to check stated that having my eyes dilated was an additional $25...Again, this has been included in every other eye exam I ever had at no EXTRA charge...No one told me that I was going to be charged $35 AFTER I had the eye exam....This is nothing more than PURE GREED....SHAME ON YOU TAKING ADVANTAGE OF SENIORS.... read more

I don't recommend Jenna Loughlin at all. My experience is the last paragraph if you are interested. I am sure that she went through school and learned how to use the machine. However, careful optometrists double-check their work and run tests afterwards with test lenses so that the optometrist can test their work and the answers that the customer gave. Jenna Loughlin does not do that and gets intolerant when questioned. Problem is that you are paying money. She checked my eyes last summer and I complained after the exam that my left eye still seemed fuzzy after looking through test lenses. She said it's fine, she can't get them perfect, etc. Later, before I bought $600 lenses, I asked her to retest them. She then got it perfect but blamed me, my eyes changed, yada-yada. The accidental proof in my behalf was that she changed the right eye too. I complained that the right eye now seemed fuzzy. Several months later I asked for a retest of the right eye. My left eye was still perfect. She did and the measurements were exactly the same as the first test! I was so vindicated. Don't waste your time on Jenna Loughlin. There might be better around but the best I've found is Insight Optical on Burlington Road. read more

Condescending and rude. I went to be fitted for contact lens. The sample were giving me headaches and I felt like my left eye was straining. I went back in and the Dr said, "look away every 15-20 min. That is the right prescription." So, that is not helpful. Look away from what? They are on my eyes. I am going somewhere else to be properly fitted and find contacts that are comfortable. Every patient should have their concerns addressed respectfully. read more

I have taken my children to Redstone Eye Associates several times, and we have had excellent experiences. One of the most memorable was about a year ago, when we took my then-13-year-old daughter for her first pair of contact lenses. After the exam and fitting, the technician showed my daughter how to put in the contacts. She spent nearly an hour helping my daughter, with absolutely the patience of a saint. She never once made her feel pressured for taking so long to figure it out. She calmly gave her helpful tips and sat with her most of the time, then briefly left the room every now and then just to give her a little space. After an hour of trying, we had to leave for another commitment; but the technician told us to come back later and she would work with my daughter again. We took her up on her offer and she worked with my daughter another 45 minutes until she could put the contacts in / take them out on her own. I was so pleased with the level of service at this office. The technician went above and beyond to help us; and we have had pleasant experiences with both optometrists Redstone. Great service and very competent doctors. I was very pleased with my first visit since moving into the area!

This is the worst doctor we had over our lives. The place was dirty and out of date, with dog hair everywhere. They even did not have the practice of cleaning up the equipment before conducting testing on the new patient. During the retinal exam, the doctor consistently used the bright lights on our eyes (about more than 5 mins), with her left hand forcing our eyes open to stare at lights - something we have never experienced before in the same exams. Afterwards, both my husband and myself experienced the eye pain about a few weeks. With that, will NEVER go there ago and will NOT recommend anyone else to go there! read more

I have been a customer for approximately 10 years and today I was totally disgusted with the treatment I received. We were 5 minutes late for an appointment and they told me they took a walk-in because I wasn't there and I would need to reschedule. I took 1/2 day off work for this appt. I will never return and they have lost my 2 kids business as well. They are located inside LensCrafters and I will also not return to LensCrafters due to their association with Redstone eye associates. read more

Terrible service! They gave me the wrong size measurements for contact lenses and then they refused to re-measure my eyes or look at my lenses because I didn't by the lenses from them! They were VERY nasty and rude. The girl Rachel at the front desk was VERY nice though. I wasted 3 hours in that place and they basically kicked me out refusing to help me and I was nothing but nice to them! The doctors seems to have very little experience! RUN far away from this place.
