Absolutely love Reece's Cider Co, and must stop when we are in the area. First stop is the orchard across the road, then finish with a visit to the Cider Co. Outdoor seating is fantastic, there's always live music when we've visited (weekends daytime), different seating options indoor and out. Small merchandise section and canned options too. Fantastic staff, it's where our daughter chose to have her first legal beverage on her 21 birthday. read more

What a great find this place is. We were in the area to fish the Toccoa and stopped here on our way back. Great outdoor environment where you can pull up a chair, enjoy some live music and enjoy a flight of their fabulous cider's. We wound up buying several six packs and growlers to take home with us and will make a point of stopping here again for refills on the growlers and to enjoy the setting. They had a food truck but we didn't need to eat but what I saw coming to other folk's tables looked tasty. A nice, laid back environment that someone spent some time really thinking about before they put it together. Only suggestion is another person to work the counter, as it can back up a bit between folks getting refills and others ordering flights. But, staffing must always be a challenge. read more

We came here from out of town 2 nights in a row because of how much we loved it! I can't have beer and it's so rare to find a place that specializes in hard cider and also does it so well! We enjoyed every flavor we tried (which was pretty much all of them), and we were so pleased we could bring our dog since he came with us too. Everyone was so friendly and kind and it was such a nice place to spend some of our vacation. If we're ever in town, we'll definitely be back! read more

What a cool, chill vibe! It was a busy afternoon when we visited so we didn't stay long with the kiddos, but there were tons of fun activities and even more flavors of cider to try! Our favorite was the thin mint...can't wait to stop by next season! read more

We stopped by after our apple picking adventure. The cider was really good. Three of us had some. There was one flavor that was awful but I can't remember the name. Sorry! They had a few snack, but they severely overpriced. I would definitely return if we go apple picking again. (Just for the cider) read more

We stopped by for a sample and left with a bottle. The ciders are varied in sweetness levels. They also take their base ciders and add juices to vary them. For a young cidery, they have some amazing brews. If you enjoy a hard cider, this is a perfect stop. Ample seating with friendly staff. Food is limited to packaged meat, cheese, and cracker packages, and other packaged crackers. read more

A great little roadside stop if you find yourself going through Ellijay. We've stopped here a few times now and have gotten a different cider flight every time. My favorite flavor is definitely the tango (strawberry and habanero), but I haven't found a bad one yet. There's always live music and plenty of places to sit in their cute outdoor space. My only complaint is the food situation. Every time we have been there's only been one food truck there and when it's really crowded it tends to take a while. If you're planning on going on a crowded weekend I would suggest maybe eating elsewhere before you go or just be prepared for a wait. read more

Cider is bangin'. Ellijay Apple is a perfect not to sweet cider. Apple Pie is a beautifully spiced semi-sweet and the frostbite is nice if you want some additional fruit flavors with the blackberry. Get buck wild. Have someone else drive. read more

We were not able to sit down bc our kids were tired but we did grab some cider to go. I let my husband know I prefer dry cider. He took note & asked the staff what they recommended. He came back to the truck with their original apple cider, reserve version. I guess they aged it in a bourbon barrel! It definitely has a unique taste & is absolutely delicious. We will make it a tradition for sure to grab cider every time we visit the apple orchard! Thank you! read more

NO KIDS area means NO KIDS!!! The loft area has a big sign posted at the bottom of the stairs but sure enough some rude entitled parents had to bring their rambunctious toddler up there where she ran and jumped around disturbing all of the adults sitting up there and almost jumped off the balcony! Please do a better job of monitoring this area!!! read more

Wonderful place, and very good ciders, but they will not refill growlers except theirs. I wasn't going to get sucked into buying their oddball sized growlers.... I had 4 standard 1/2 gallon growlers ready, and they would not refill. read more

Rude people working! We came when they were busy and boy did they let us know that. First time here and will never be back. The man behind the counter was extremely rude and assumed I would like sweet cider, I guess because I'm a woman and said "It tastes like grape juice, something my 5 year old son would like". Well I usually drink cabernet sauvignon so I'm not used to super sweet drinks. My friend who has been here the past few years told me they do one free sample of cider so I thought I could try some. When I asked, he sighed and had an attitude and said "I'm not even supposed to do this and we have a line". Im sorry, I've never been here and didn't know. You could've politely let me know that's not something you offer. You'd think a family business in the south may care about customer service but obviously not. I guess they're allowed to be rude because their family owns it. Absolutely terrible! read more

On the way from my MIL's house to my mom's house we passed Reeces and I had to stop in to give it a try. Awesome spot with indoor/outdoor areas to sit. Fairly new so the staff was very good at answering all questions about their selections and making recommendations. Seems like they have live music fairly often as well, we came early in the afternoon. This is my new favorite cidery. read more

Love visiting Reeces Cider and try to get up to Elijay at least a couple of times a year. Great selection of reasonably priced cider. Parking is plenty and a lot of outdoor seating as well. The cidery is located across the street from the orchards so it's a two stops in one for families with kids. read more

I like ciders so we decided to try it. I got a flight of 4 different ones I thought for 16.00 it's a bit pricey but the ciders were delicious they had live music playing which was nice. The girl serving it seemed knowledgeable and nice. read more

Great stop in our way back from hiking . Adults enjoyed the cider while kids got Shirley Temples. Place was pretty empty, but we were there early afternoon. Staff was super knowledgeable and very friendly. Outside there were lots of things to keep kids and adults entertained - yard games. Would definitely stop here again when in the area. read more

Established in 2020.

Taner & Sarah Reece started Reece's Cider Co in 2020. The Reece's are well known for the orchard aspect of apples, but Taner knew there was something Ellijay was missing! Hard Cider is a true passion for Sarah & Taner and their mission is to spread the good word for the cider industry. Our small family business opened in September 2021, and is growing every day.

Hi everyone! Reece's Cider Co is truly a dream that has finally come to fruition for our family. Taner Reece, owner, has always had a plan to do hard cider here in his home town, Ellijay. The road we have taken has not always been easy, but we are so blessed to get to wake up everyday and do what we enjoy. It is an added bonus that we get to use the fruits of our labor to create something tasty to share with our awesome guests! They offer private farm tours, carriage rides, a bed & breakfast, a wedding chapel and lots of flowers to enjoy. My family went on the carriage ride with Brian and Barbie. They use an original carriage from the 1800s which has been updated with fiberglass wheels and hydraulic breaks. The carriage is drawn by Moses and Aaron (Gypsy Vanner Cross horses). The ride takes about one hour along a mountain gravel road. For portions of the ride, Brian & the horses kick up the speed to around 40 mph. It's pretty cool and exhilarating. A fun family friendly experience. The kids enjoyed petting the animals. They have a donkey, a pony, fainting goats, chickens and pheasants. You'll also find daffodils, tulips, hyacinths, a type of cherry blossom and other flowers.

The U-pick apple experience was a blast, and the orchard is beautiful, well organized, and family-friendly. We spent hours here between picking apples, browsing the market, and sampling drinks. There is an incredible selection of local products, baked goods, jams, cider, wine, fresh produce, gifts, and souvenirs. Everything looked fresh and high quality, although many of the items are definitely on the pricey side. We also tried both the hard cider and wine flights, which were reasonably priced and a fun way to sample several of their offerings before deciding what to take home. Most of the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming, and despite the crowds, the overall operation ran smoothly. Unfortunately, what should have been a five-star experience was overshadowed by one concerning incident. After returning from the U-pick orchard on the tractor, we noticed a family parked a couple of spaces away from us. The adults removed a younger child from the vehicle, and it appeared there may have been another child, approximately four years old, still inside the parked vehicle. We fully recognize the seriousness of making that assumption and cannot say with certainty what the circumstances were. However, with temperatures well above 90 degrees, we felt it was far better to report what we observed than ignore a situation that could potentially put a child at risk. What disappointed us most was the response. We informed staff of our concern, yet there seemed to be little to no sense of urgency. Even if it ultimately turned out to be a misunderstanding, I would have expected someone to immediately check on the situation or at least acknowledge the concern and verify that the child was safe. When it comes to a potential child safety issue, I'd much rather see staff respond quickly to a false alarm than risk overlooking a genuine emergency. Despite that experience, Mercier Orchards is still a wonderful destination. The U-pick experience, shopping, cider and wine tastings, and overall atmosphere make it a place I'd recommend to anyone visiting the Blue Ridge area. My hope is simply that management reinforces the importance of treating potential safety concerns with the urgency they deserve. Had it not been for that interaction, this easily would have been a five-star review.

I wanted to buy everything as I am a huge proponent of clean, natural skincare ingredients and theirs are only made with the purest, highest quality ingredients. The front desk admin saw we had a little one with us and advised which part of the field had lower berries for him to access. There were plenty of berries and I would highly recommend visiting this farm. There are two main shaded areas with chairs and benches. It also has a mini swing set and slide which was perfect for our almost 2 year old. They also offer water, soft drinks and some snacks for purchase. Definitely bring a sunhat and sunscreen when going on a sunny day. Also the ground can be wet so stick with closed toe shoes too. Tip: check their Facebook page to see if they are open before heading out as they may not open due to over picking.

Easy parking and inside the store we were ok with the quart sized box. The friendly folks reminded us to bend the long branches to get at the top for larger and juiciest blueberries. We see families enjoying their time at the Cool Springs Blueberry Farm. The picking was a bit of an exercise as the blueberry plants were in rows on grassy and sloping grounds. The container is filled, and we are taking ours home. We were glad we came.

It's usually decorated with something so they are big on themes but it's always very well kept and very clean so that's a plus for sure . I haven't really eaten a lot there but what I have had has been light bites, like tater tots or something like that. Nothing major but they do have actual food and not just wings and fries. Just keep those expectations in mind because it's not like it's a full menu. If you're sitting for an hour and a half in a movie theater, you don't need a pork roast LOL. They do have food and it's more than just popcorn there, like other theaters. Just keep that in your head if you go and decide to eat there versus eating elsewhere . All in all because I'm not too far from it, it's a really good theater and it's a really good choice if you're looking for something that's kinda tucked away .

This is a bit of a smaller place, and the interior doesn't fit too many people. There is a patio outside though and you can walk around outside near the vines. I think the most difficult part was getting here and the parking situation. The way to get here was an extremely winding and twisting road. It was pretty hard to drive, but most roads to vineyards in North Georgia are like that. However, I did think this was a little harder to navigate and drive to than others I have been to, though. The most important part is the wine. We got a Groupon deal for 2 premium wine tastings (pick 5) and a souvenir glass. We tried the: -Sauvignon Blanc: Flavors of fresh cut grass, melons, and herbs. Definitely a good one if you are a Sauvignon Blanc fan like I am! -Gewurztraminer: Gardenia and Jamaican allspice. This is the most unique one I tried with a very interesting spice flavor to it. -Sangiovese: Red with fruity flavors of strawberry, cherry, raisin, and spice. Medium-bodied. -Collage: Bordeaux blend with black cherry, raspberry, vanilla, and chocolate. -Trebonnay: Semi-sweet with pear, mango, and citrus. Most of the wines here are all dry. But there is one semi-sweet wine, and 3 sweet wines. I enjoyed all the ones I tried! I really would recommend all of them. After the tasting, I also got a glass of Pickens Pink, a sweet blush wine with cherry-berry flavors. I thought it was a sweet, refreshing finish to the tasting. For parking, there are only 3 or 4 parking spots and the rest of the cars were parallel parked on a very small section of the road. There was no space available when we got there, so we actually parked somewhere across the street and walked there, which I'm not sure if we were allowed to do. The lady working here was very friendly and pretty quick to fill our next tasting. However, she did accidentally overcharge us since we already paid on Groupon and she charged us again. She did reverse it though, so not too big of a deal. Sharp Mountain is a cool place to check out if you are looking for a new vineyard to try in North Georgia! I really liked looking at all the vines since all the rows are marked with what kind of wine those grapes produce. There's also a nice mountain backdrop to the vineyard which gives it a nice view.
