I had my first surgery…read morewas there at Southwest surgery, (there surgery center) to fix a dislocated inner ocular lens which resulted in my retina being detached. 2 more surgerys at the Moran eye center in SLC and my eye is still useless. One more surgery to go. The Moran eye center gave me financial assistance because of my low income and accepted Medicare as paid in full. I paid off Southwest surgery except for 1$75. I asked for financial assistance. "We don't do that." They sent my $175 bill to a collection agency. Look out if you need financial help!

I think this is just part of their practice and they think they are so busy and making so much money that they can get away with their disregard for their patients. Well, I'm taking my business elsewhere. StG may be a small town, but there are other ophthalmologists who will be happy to have my business. I'll make sure my primary care physician knows so he can stop referring them to patients.

Dr. Nathan Andersen complete my exam then asked if I ever had problem seeing as my eyelids were sagging. I said never. Got my bill & he had them put the diagnosis of ptosis and I was charged hundreds for it. Insurance co said just have them resubmit with correct billing. Called office, staff was rude & started yelling at me on phone. Will submit to Ins Dept, Dept of Licensing. They do not allow Google reviews as they would have many negative ones, had many bad occurrences with 3 of there so called Dr.s. Stay away.

The outcome was beyond words, I now have 20/20 vision as determined by the day after surgery exam. I had the right eye corrected in the same fashion on April 30th. I had my day after surgery exam performed today 5/1/2025 and I have 20/20 vision in my right eye as well. The entire experience with Zion Eye Institute was nothing short of fantastic, to the entire support staff and to Dr Denny I now for the first time in my life can see without glasses.

When was able to talk to a human being was told is was "their policy." The explanation was confusing. inconsistent and disjointed. It makes me wonder if they are having cash flow issues.
