I was staying at Ocean Reef for an extended period of time and checked out Reef Treats a couple of times. It's almost always hot out in the Keys so an ice cream never hurts. They have a variety of ice cream and gelato flavors. Throughout my time going to Reef Treats, I ordered a variety of flavors of ice cream including s'mores and a variety of gelato flavors including coconut and raspberry. The s'mores as well as their other ice cream flavors are fairly creamy and sweet. The gelato that they sell are generally sweet, but tend to be lighter than their ice creams. Although, I have only had Reef Treat's ice cream and gelato they also had a variety of other dessert options including chocolate covered strawberry's, cupcakes and milkshakes. There is a nice amount of indoor seating, which is nice on a hot summer day and seating by the water. Altogether, Reef Treats is a nice and relaxing place to pick up some tasty and sweet dessert!

Avocado toast is delicious! Morning after a big storm, and the staff was happy and helpful! Comes with tomato slices and a hard boiled egg!

We've come to Reef Treats twice now, the service is quite friendly and quick and their ice cream and milkshakes are some of the best I've ever had. We came in today for a strawberry smoothie which was hands down the worst I've had in my life. We asked to exchange it for a milkshake which they did after some back and forth and permission from the manager. Under no circumstance would I ever recommend getting a smoothie here, but everything else is wonderful!

Super cute ice cream spot with very friendly staff. Been here twice during our stay and the service has been amazing! Today we had Tiffany at the register and she was above and beyond friendly and professional. They have a lot of tasty treats not just ice cream. Even bought some treats to bring back to my doggies when we go back home. Love this place!

Beautiful selection of ice cream, frozen treats, some candy, coffee drinks and overall yummy items. It's expensive (like everything else at Ocean Reef), but we all seem to do crazy things for ice cream, right? Reef Treats used to be in a little closet of a space down the road in the Fishing Village at Ocean Reef, but moved to a large, open, airy, happy space next to Orvis. Even the staff seem happier.

The smallest scoop of ice cream ever. Bring your magnifying glass.

I ordered when I was in the store and the app defaulted to the Meridian location and there was no way to change it. The staff saw what happened and jumped to action and called the Meridian store and said they would let everyone know and started making the coffee in their store. A few minutes later I had my coffee and I was on my way. The staff were all so nice and helpful and the coffee was absolutely amazing! Definitely stop in if you are in the area!

Was quite pleased with what I ordered. Ham Croqueta: Crispy outside breading and very gooey inside. There were nice ham chunks inside. Chicken Croqueta: Same format as the ham croqueta. Though this one was kinda bland. The chicken strands just kinda blended in with the gooey mush center whereas the ham chunks were nice and smoky. Tequeño: Nicely executed with a cheesy center and crispy outside. Cuban Sandwich: I like how they really pay attention an evenly distributed and nicely crisped press on both sides. Many places are only partially crispy. The ratio of ham, pork, cheese, pickles and mustard was just right. The flavors worked in harmony and there wasn't one ingredient that dominated the rest.

Update: went back on last day - just as good. Our son got the same meal (country breakfast); I went a little off menu and elected to have chorizo on the side rather than bacon/sausage. It was different that expected; I thought it would be like a sausage whereas it was more like chile. It worked really well on my eggs and mixed in with my home fries.

The prices on the menu are pretty reasonable. I was going to order the bagel and lox for $16 but then I saw that the lobster Benedict was also $16, so I ordered that instead. I was disappointed though because the "hash browns" on the side were not the homemade kind, but a frozen deep fried cake. I was also disappointed to find that the "lobster" was actually a breaded deep fried mixture, like a crab cake. I intentionally did not order the crab cake Benedict because I don't like that kind of thing. My daughter ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon and Swiss cheese. It was good, and pretty big, so she could barely eat half of it. There is a nice view of the water from the restaurant. The parking lot is pretty small. I'd probably try a different restaurant if I'm back in the area.
