This looked like a nice place to stop in a get a coffee. It in fact was not. My husband wanted a 'cafe con leche', it was a hot day so I wasn't in the mood for a hot coffee. I asked the barista if I could have one with just cold milk...tell me why they took this as cold foam and instead of asking for clarification she got overwhelmed and asked her two other co workers, who said " idk what it is but I know it's alot of sugar" ummm no girl. The barista then said to me "Yea idk, I know it's a thing but I'm not sure how to do that. So you basically just told me that you are not capable of just making as you usually do, and just putting 'cold milk' instead of scolding hot milk in it, like it was a weird sort of science or had to be a trendy "cold foam" bs. I told her respectfully I did not want any coffee at all, and I was hesitant to purchase anything else I had selected. My husband did want that coffee so he ordered an "iced latte" and when he tasted it, it was just cold brewed american coffee in some watered down creamer liquid. We stopped in for some ice cream and walked out with extra sweets. The place is cute and it's filled with all kinds of shopping that you could almost miss the ice cream. We tried several samples before making our selections. We asked if they made the ice cream and they said someone locally makes it and then they get it to sell. The sweets are made in house though. I tried about 5 different ice cream flavors before settling on two. A black raspberry and blueberry cheesecake. We also picked a banana bread pudding and a discord cookie butter cupcake to go. They have a side room with several picnic tables to sit and enjoy your sweet treats so you don't have to go outside with them and watch them melt too quickly. The banana bread pudding was good warmed up later. The cupcake tasted good but was drier than I expected or would have hoped. It's a place that you could definitely return to and keep trying different options. The cookies looked great. That would be next on our to try list. Oh my heavens. I will come back to the keys just for this slice of pie. Chocolate covered key lime pie. Not too sweet, and the chocolate contrasts well with the tart pie filling. SWEET BABAY JESUS. I almost made a U-turn after heading home one hour out just to go back for more pie. There is a nice area in the back with tables to sit and enjoy your treat. Why isn't this place all over the top things to do in the keys? It's a bakery and ice cream parlor. But it also has an adorable gift shop, Keys themed toy store area, and the dining area has a tv, retro games, a kiddie corner and ... is air conditioned!!! (a huge deal if you had no idea what a big punch the humidity was going to throw). The desserts are super delicious. We got 2 brownie boats and a peanut butter cup. It was so much ice cream it fed 4 adults and a teen with leftovers. It's also very affordable for the amount you get, I think both desserts were less than $10 each. read more

My only regret is that we didn't come back a second time! I got a scoop of the Key Lime ice cream and the Pineapple Orange sorbet. That combo together was absolutely delicious! We also got a Turtle cookie and my mom got some Key Lime cookies and omg! Probably some of the best cookies I have ever had. They look dense, but are so soft. The gift shop is also super cute! Our 1st stop we tried the ice cream cones, one vanilla with rainbow sprinkles and one dairy free vanilla. was not impressed with the vanilla flavor and there were hardly any sprinkles. March, 2025. My husband and I enjoyed ice creams at Sweet Savannah's on a hot Wednesday afternoon. With 29 locally-produced flavors to choose from, we each selected two flavors to taste first -- me, (1) the Oreo Heath Bar Crunch and (2) sugar free cherry with chocolate bits. My husband tried the (1) salted caramel and (2) guava cheesecake. In all cases, the ice creams were tasty and very creamy. We both selected the first flavors from our samples. Portions were good, and there's a cute room with tables to enjoy the treats. We were tempted by many other sweets, including cupcakes, pies, and more, as well as gifts in the gift shop. Access was easy off US 1, and there was sufficient parking. One point off of our rating because of my experience with my spoonful taste of the cherry with chocolate bits ice cream. It was a small quantity so I tasted the full spoonful at once. However, I bit down on something very hard in the spoonful. Was it a cherry? No. Was it a chocolate chip? No. It turned out to be a cherry pit that I easily could've broken a tooth on. Ok, things happen -- but even more concerning, the girl who had scooped the ice cream was completely unfazed when I told her what happened. I repeated the story to the cashier. On the way home I realized that I did not buy my dad a key lime pie and my husband was in the mood for some ice cream. This spot came up in my yelp as open at 9:30pm so that was great. This is a really cute place to stop by. There is a sitting area when you can just relax and have your pie slice or ice cream. You can do also a bit of shopping they have some cute items that you can pick up and take home with you. A cute dessert spot in Marathon! Sweet Savannah's was near where we stayed while vacationing in Marathon and we walked over after dinner one night to satisfy our sweet tooth! They offer a variety of sweets: ice cream, cheesecake, cookies, cupcakes, and of course- key lime pie! I had a sweet tooth craving on our way out of the keys and Sweet Savannah's was conveniently 2 minutes down the road when I looked at where to go on Yelp. This was a little gem of a place. The inside smells of sweet delightful treats. They have lots of gluten free options and prepackaged to go items in the freezers on the left side wall of the store. They have fresh ice cream scoops and a bakery bar with fresh baked goods. I got the chocolate overload cupcake. It was soooooo goooood. I had half then and half the next day so that I wouldn't get a sugar head ache. They pile on the frosting, and the center was filled with a rich chocolate mousse like pocket. Mmmm my mouth is watering right now just recollecting how good it was. And they put it in a cute little pink box if you ask for it to go which makes it feel like a little present :) My husband had a rainbow sherbet scoop that hit the spot. Each of our items was about $4 so it's not cheap but worth it for a fun little stop in the keys. The inside of the store is so cute and they have some merchandise as well as a second "dining room" where you can sit down and enjoy the treats. What a sweet spot to stop midway between Key Largo and Key West. Their Key Lime Pie is tart with a sweet graham cracker crust, chocolate-topped if you wish! Our family of 6 ordered a whole pie. There were no chocolate-topped ones ready-made, but they offered to top it for us for free. We sat down with spoons and devoured the whole pie. They also have ice cream and other sweet treats. Sept 21, 2022, Sweet Savannah (day we picked up the cake) My wife wanted her birthday to be celebrated down in the keys with some friends. I found Sweet Savannah online. She is a passionate lover of chocolate and we wanted it to have as much chocolate as possible. We ordered a chocolate cake with 2 layers, and chocolate icing in the middle. Chocolate varieties of icing, candy etc on top. They did an incredible job. This cake was so freaking heavy. I know some say that about cakes, but I guarantee you it weighed at least 10-12 pounds on a conservative number. It took our party of 6 a week to finally finish it and that was having very large pieces. It was so rich. I could barely eat it without getting a sugar rush. The cake was an absolute steal for what we received. When my friend told me how much it was when I went to reimburse her I was flabbergasted at how inexpensive. I was imagining at least double that price for a cake like what we received. I wish their bakery was up here in Georgia near us. I'd be referring everyone I know to them. Thank you so very much to your staff for making my wife's dream come true. She said she never met a chocolate cake that was too much chocolate... She said she met her match with this cake. The only thing I would do differently next time would be for the bottom layer to have been brownies instead of cake, then a layer of icing and then cake. That would have put this cake into extreme chocolate mode. Sadly I didn't think about it until after we picked it up. I can't praise this bakery enough for the cake we received.
