All of this after hours and with a level personal care and compassion I wouldn't expect from a big company. I truly felt valued as a customer. My plumbing repair was complete and new water heater replacement in place by Friday night - delayed only by waiting on the water damage contractor and my homeowners insurance. Zadrien returned promptly Saturday morning to check on everything and was the consummate professional throughout - available directly by phone & text, quickly responsive late into the evenings, and speedy efficient on-site work. After two paid diagnostic visits, he told us our mini split needed a $971 circuit board replacement -- but completely failed to diagnose or even flag an issue with our main heat pump, despite our reporting the exact same symptom on it from day one. Appointments were missed, calls went unreturned, and scheduling was botched repeatedly on their end, leaving us without a working system for over two weeks. When the "fix" didn't work and the main unit failed too, Jeff suddenly claimed multiple components were "shot" and pushed a full system replacement costing $15,500-$23,000 -- then pressured me into paying the remaining balance for work that didn't fix anything, while I was home alone, right after I told him I believed his own misdiagnosis had made things worse. A second HVAC company confirmed the diagnosis was wrong and that we were being steered into an unnecessary, massively overpriced replacement. They fixed the actual issue for a fraction of the cost using entirely different parts -- proving Jeff's diagnosis was simply incorrect. We requested a full refund of $1,371 ($971 + $400 diagnostic) in writing, left voicemails for a supervisor, and followed up weeks later. Beacon has not responded once. I asked why a tub caulking would be ~$900, and the technician began to oversell the difficulty of the job and the "high quality" sealant they would use. I approved the quote with that belief, only to see they did the job in 40 minutes and used a caulk that I could have bought in Lowes for $5. I've asked their management for a review and have been stonewalled. I had higher expectations for Bee's Plumbing given the reviews and referrals but left very disappointed. Now, EVEN IF you pay for their $25/mo (or more) "partner" membership, you have to put up with: a trashy AI answering the call (some clanker that thinks it deserves to have a name like "tucker") they'll fail to show up on your "confirmed" date, saying that some AI canceled it (and when pressed they may reveal the they're actually understaffed), and then they'll fail to show up for multiple attempted reschedulings. This despite the "partner" membership guaranteeing 24 hour response, and a $500 credit on the repair if they miss it. Jury's still out on them honoring that one. when they DO show up for a warranty issue they don't even bother to fight for you when dealing with a manufacturer's warranty, just blindly parroting whatever nonsense the manufacturer support person to them to try to get out of a warranty replacement. And then once it's all said and done, they'll leave you hanging for days with a broken appliance, meaning you have to call them to follow up. Oh, and unrelated to all of that, they quoted us about 80% higher for a replacement central heat pump HVAC system than we ended up paying another company to install, so their pricing is outright predatory. And their sales people who say "please, call or email me with any questions" will get snippy when you try to press them on why they decided on a particular sizing for your home. Seatown is terrible. Avoid them at all costs.

Each time Zach went out to his truck for supplies and returned, he put protective booties over his shoes. When he finished, he made certain that doors were closed and lights were turned off, small details that say a lot about someone's professionalism. The real surprise came when he showed me the contents of the vacuum bag. I couldn't believe the amount of dirt, hair, leaves, and assorted debris that had accumulated in the ducts, including remnants apparently left behind from remodeling done many years ago. Signed up for a yearly service maintenance agreement with them that same day. Every year like clock work, they came out for the yearly turn up. No upselling. Just routine maintenance. I don't exactly recall when they were bought out/merged/bought Gene Johnson and some plumbing company, but it was the end of the no upselling. Fast forward to today: The good. Lots of good to really good people in all roles. An army of techs. They will come to you fairly quickly. Actual service is usually solid. The bad. Some not so good techs that are clearly on the upsell of telling me I needed something. The code changed and new requirements of.... when I'm likely grandfathered in at the old requirements. They want to come out twice a year, to service my heatpump and furnace separately. Basically two opportunities for upsell. They want to send me a free plumbing consultation/inspection. More upsell. Never scheduled with them. The really big prize for them, selling me a completely new heat pump and furnace system, when both approached 10 years old. Having to say no every freaking year. Fear tactics. Super premium prices. Really bad. One of their techs told me my extra surge protector installed by another tech is over a year old and may fail. He highly advises a new one to protect my system. I approve it and pay again. Later I pull the records from the first one installed. It's only 11 months old and under warrant. Call manager and get a refund. Different tech was fixing my heatpump. Had to order parts and came back the next day. He had underquoted the actual cost to fix the prior day. I had already signed and approved the fix the day prior. Day 2, that morning with my heat pump torn apart in pieces, I'm forced to sign/approve the real cost or he cannot finish the repair and would leave. I sign, not happy call into the a manager. He researches. About 2 weeks later they agree to refund the difference. About 2 months later I actually recieve the refund. My hvac system lasted 16 years. Not too bad. They gave me four bids with various levels of equipment. I ended hiring a smaller hvac company near 5 stars reviews here on yelp. Their sole bid was the Bel-Red's low bid with better equipment. I stopped the Bel-Red service agreement going forward. Should have done this many, many years ago. Paying super premium prices for less than stellar services. Live and learn.
