Our kitchen faucet was coming loose from the sink. I checked the internet for local plumbers. I ended up calling Bee's Plumbing as U had chatted with one of their employees in the recent past. As this wasn't an emergency, the dispslatcher said it would be today or tomorrow before a plumber would be sent. He was sent today. Sean called and arrived early afternoon and looked at the repair. He presented us three options and solid estimates. We chose the middle one and then decided to also ask about a toilet replacement. Again, Sean presented us options and we agreed to one He gave us. As he didn't have the toilet on his repair truck, Bee's dispatched an employee with a new toilet. Sean was very professional in his work, answering questions as he proceeded with the work. He mentioned a couple of things that needed replacing due to their aging. We agreed to have them replaced. When Sean presented the invoice, it was exactly as he stated. At no time did he try to "upsell" items were didn't need, unlike other plumbing firms in this area that are heavy TV advertisers. I would recommend Bee's Plumbing to anyone that ask! Thank you, Sean! Bees over-sells and over-states the quality of their service. The technician gave several suggestions each with a quote to address a leak. They repeatedly said this is only an attempt to repair. While they did say I that I didn't have to choose any options, they stood there creating a pressure situation. I picked the tub sealing option since it seemed most straight forward, again with no guarantee of fixing the leak. I asked why a tub caulking would be ~$900, and the technician began to oversell the difficulty of the job and the "high quality" sealant they would use. I approved the quote with that belief, only to see they did the job in 40 minutes and used a caulk that I could have bought in Lowes for $5. I've asked their management for a review and have been stonewalled. I had higher expectations for Bee's Plumbing given the reviews and referrals but left very disappointed. Do not hire. In 2023, the plumber gave a $1400 verbal bid to replace my recessed ice maker box behind the refrigerator, and when I rejected that, he immediately changed his bid to $700. Then I asked them to look at the hose spigot (bibb) which dripped when on, he proposed breaking into the drywall inside to replace the entire assembly. I called to have one of our drains inspected because it was clogged. Hector and Diego came out, completed the inspection, and explained that we didn't actually need the drain snake service we originally thought was necessary. Been almost a month since my last update. My kitchen is still torn apart. I've had several talks with Brendan from Bee's, who called and said he would be pro-actively monitoring this through to completion, except I've had to follow up repeatedly to advance this process. I've made numerous calls to employees from Total Restore who admit they don't understand why this has taken so long, except to point out it isn't their fault. Currently waiting approval for an estimate from ANOTHER company I've had to proactively get involved for the restoration. Not sure why I need to keep making calls to get this dealt with. Really starting to feel like it's my responsibility to keep hounding these guys to get this dealt with. This process has been a nightmare. They were quick to demolish my kitchen to deal with the water damage which I appreciated. Then they told me they are back logged by several months on the restoration and that I would need to hire another company for the restoration, which would be paid for. That third company submitted an estimate two and a half weeks ago with a stipulation that the cabinetry restore was 6 weeks out once getting payment. I've communicated this to both Bee's and Total Restore. I was told yesterday that a call would be made today to arrange payment. It wasn't. Just more of the same. The pro-active communication leaves much to be desired. I keep having to make calls after not hearing back for days. I think next time, I'll fix the drain clog myself. Disappointing experience with Bee's. I booked them for a leak diagnosis for my plumbing and service on my radiator system. They offer only one appointment window all day (8-5) ehich is tough for working families but they do offer Saturday appointments. We booked the Saturday and, because of the urgency in getting the leak fixed, we planned our whole weekend around it. We were waiting on the technicIan that morning and get a call at 10:30am saying that they don't service homes with radiators on the weekend and would need to rebook me M-F, even for the leak. He was very clear about what possible outcomes could be. He said his schedule was full but if we called their number he was certain that they would be able to come out and help us today. I don't normally leave reviews because I believe most businesses are doing their best, but my experience with this company was disappointing. My wife received a call from our friends who were renting our home that the basement was flooding because the sump pump had stopped working. We contacted Bee's for an after-hours service call to replace the pump and were told there would be a $200 after-hours charge, which we accepted. Having replaced the same pump myself at this property before, I knew the unit typically costs around $200-$400. The technician was on site for about an hour, and the work itself is fairly straightforward. Based on that, I would have expected the total cost to be somewhere in the range of $500-$800, including parts, labor, and the after-hours fee. Instead, we were charged $2,200 for a job that any reasonably handy person with a flathead screwdriver and rubber boots could likely complete. Over the past month, I have called five times requesting an itemized receipt, but I still have not received one. The only response I've gotten is that someone would "reach out to the Service Manager." In my experience, when a company refuses to provide a detailed invoice, it usually raises questions about how the charges were calculated. I'm not sure whether the pricing was based on my wife's lack of familiarity with the work or an assumption that landlords would simply pay the bill without asking questions. I reached out to Bee's Plumbing for a simple removal and replacement of a kitchen sink and faucet that I purchased online to surprise my fiancé. While they were there, I planned to have them replace a spring and gasket on a delta bathroom faucet, something I've done several times on my own in 15-20 minutes. I expected 3-4 hours and $600-$800 plus sales tax for the work. When the technician arrived and looked at the job, he went to his vehicle and spent about 30 minutes in his truck and came back with an estimate of over $2,528. When I questioned him about the amount, he referenced the now infamous Bee's Plumbing - 'price book'. The amount was unusually high and in hindsight I should have thanked him for his time and told him that I wasn't interested. Because my fiancé was going to be back the following day, I didn't have the luxury of calling another plumber. I reluctantly allowed him to proceed under the assumption that perhaps the job was much more involved than I realized, or that if it was a quick 4 hour install that the plumber would adjust the billing to reflect market rates. The technician's entire time on my job was 4-1/2 hours, which included a trip to Home Depot for a part, so I was charged approximately $500 per hour. As it was completed in 4-1/2 hours including a trip to purchase parts, this was a very standard sink-faucet replacement I'm a pretty reasonable guy and I expected to pay $200 per hour. I was charged $500 per hour, which is way above market. To confirm my suspicion, I checked with two plumbers and I was quoted a range of $600-$1200 plus tax. I checked online and found $200-$1000 total labor cost for the complete job or an hourly rate $150-$200 per hour labor rate for plumbers in the Seattle metropolitan area and an estimated time range of 4-8 hours. I really wish I would have checked the online reviews of Bee's Plumbing in advance to see all of the issues with overbilling customers. I'm not happy with the pricing and manner in which the estimate was provided. 1. They won't give you an unbinding estimate over the phone. 2. With a price book, you have (a) sink removal free; and (b) and sink installation fee; and (c) a faucet installation fee. 3. Given (a)+(b)+(c) is all built into a price book in advance they ought to be able to provide a non-binding estimate or range over the phone. I agreed to update my review if Bee's Plumbing adjusts my billing to reflect market rates and makes it right and they did. I had a pleasant follow-up conversation on 08-27-2025 and they offered a final price of $1,489.36, which I believe is reasonable. We had Bee's plumbing replace a cast iron waste drain pipe in the crawl space under the house, rebuild the valves for a shower to stop leaking inside the wall, and install a new gas water heater and pressure regulator. Joseph and Hector did great work in all three jobs, and even when the water heater install turned out to be more difficult than expected due to a rusted roof vent, they got the jobs done and kept us well informed. Joseph was good about explaining the options, giving us discounts, and helping us save money (we decided to buy our own water heater rather than buy the one they offered). Had a new propane/gas convertible BBQ grill that I needed to have a plumber come out and well...convert. It comes usable with a propane tank, but if you want to use it with natural gas, you have to have a plumber hook it up to a gas line. The job was straightforward because the gas line coming out of the wall to the backyard was already there, and the grill came with all the parts to hook it up (basically, a hose). Just a matter of connecting the two. So, we called Bee's. The guys who came over told me they would have to take apart the entire grill in order to convert it, and that it would cost $500 (did the fact that it was a couple days before the July 4th weekend have anything to do with their pricing? No way to know. (This was in 2022). Anyway, we said "no thank you." Fox Plumbing came the next day and did it in an hour for $140. read more
