Old world craftsmanship. While attempting to remove my bathroom faucet, my plumber cracked several large chunks out of my 9.5 foot slab marble bathroom counter where the holes for the plumbing were located. A faucet could not be installed until I replaced the slap marble OR figured out a way to reinforce the area that was broken. Beautiful Stone Restoration was recommended to me as someone who might be able to fix the broken marble. I called Alberto and he came to my home and gave me an assessment and estimate. Alberto was wonderful. An old world craftsman for sure. His price was reasonable and he did a wonderful job epoxying the marble back and polishing it. It looks beautiful. Due to a recommendation by All Natural Stone, I originally contacted Beautiful Stone Restoration due to a chip I made in our quartz counter top. The chip was very small but I felt it could create problems in the future, luckily I saved the chip. Alberto and Guillermo were able to fit me in right before the holidays. Once we discussed the chip I pointed out the poor grouting on our two year old tile job in the kitchen and laundry room. The original tiler had already been out once to redo the bottom row of grout but it was falling apart again. Alberto knew right away what the issue was and said the wrong grout had been used. They were able to fit me in again before the holidays and repair both the grout in both rooms and the chip in the counter top. Alberto is very meticulous in his work, he took the time to come back a few days later to make sure it was setting correctly, very professional. There wasn't a question you could ask Alberto or Guillermo that they didn't have the answer for. They are both very knowledgeable in their line of work. Also important to note is their communication was very good, they stayed in touch if there were any changes. If they were going to be late, they made sure to call well in advance to let you know, there was no waiting and waiting etc. I knew exactly when they would be there, and they were. I have a duplex in Walnut Creek that I remodeled recently. Unfortunately, I chose an inexpensive quartz for the kitchen counter tops, which were badly stained by one tenant. I was prepared to replace them, but thought I'd try to have them restored. Now, four hours later, the counter tops looks like new. I'm very pleased with Alberto's workmanship. Alberto and his staff just completed refinishing my travertine floor in my kitchen. When I received my free estimate, Alberto promised me that it would look brand new. He was absolutely correct. The floor looks fantastic!! It is so shiny and smooth! I could not be happier. He was also very friendly and professional from the beginning to the end of the job. Alberto was very patient and filled all the holes that I found, believe me, there were many of them. You know how porous travertine can be. He and his staff also covered the cabinets and refrigerator and base boards with plastic so nothing was damaged or dirtied. Alberto's cost was in the mid range, I received 3 estimates.
