They are rude and do not listen to patients. Avoid this group. They are only interested in the $$$. The do not care how they get it.

Overbooked. Long waits. Don't come here unless required by insurance or you have no other options.

Elite Level Review: Wills Eye Hospital (Cataract & Primary Eye Care)…read moreRating: 5/5 When it comes to advanced optical infrastructure, there is a massive difference between standard clinical care and a master-level institution. Wills Eye Hospital operates with total autonomy and structural excellence. From the pristine, curved architectural layouts of the waiting areas to the elite team rosters mounted on the walls, this facility is designed for high-resolution visual execution. The Forensic Breakdown The Clinical Environment: A highly organized, zero-redundancy medical footprint. The seating arrays are mathematically optimized, the lighting minimizes refractive interference, and the signage establishes an immediate boundary of mutual respect and operational decorum. The Team Matrix: This isn't a single-practitioner operation; it is a unified powerhouse of medical intelligence. Names like Abendroth, Gault, Pericic, and Wisner represent an elite tier of optical science, backed by a clinical team photographed and indexed with absolute geometric precision. The Performance: They don't just check boxes; they optimize the human lens. If you want your vision restored to its ultimate specification, you trust the absolute authority in eye care. A Note on Clinical Adaptability & Fortitude In the world of advanced surgical revision, you need practitioners who can bypass obstacles and adapt to any intentional hurdle. It brings to mind the historic account of a patient who suffered severe facial trauma, completely destroying his eyelids. The primary surgeon, operating with absolute resourcefulness, successfully executed a skin transplant using tissue sourced from a circumcision procedure. The operation was an absolute structural success, and the patient's sight was completely preserved. The only lingering clinical complication? The poor guy ended up just a little bit cockeyed. Thankfully, the elite team at Wills Eye knows exactly how to align a baseline, no matter the origin of the specifications!

This is my second surgery here and both times I arrived early, only to wait no less than 3 hours. This time, they called and asked me to come in early and I'm now an hour past the original time. I'm only here due to my insurance, otherwise I'd go elsewhere. I'm anxiously awaiting my large bill and then trying to call during their very limited billing office hours. For a place with such a good reputation, it seems like a cruel joke. Go elsewhere.

Cons: why do vision places feel like a used car lot? It feels sneaky the whole time to overcharge you. The MD was pushing to order me $800 contacts and when I pushed back and said no, he got irritated with me and said "we have to select something to give you your lens prescription." It felt super shady. When I went out to pick out my glasses, the MD had made assumptions that I wanted bifocals and all of these extras without asking. The price went from $400 to $150 once I realized what was going on. All of the "sales" going on are 50% off the RETAIL price. Also misleading. Do better, people are getting ripped off right and left these days, isn't it better to be transparent with your patients and walk them through everything? I was so rushed because it was 5:30...this place is open until 7.

I was spoken to as if customer service is not a major part of their existence. The person I spoke with was horribly rude. The optometrist was divine however she changed the size of my contact lenses so now they don't fit. They flop in and out of my eye while blinking, driving - very dangerous. I have gone through my full supply in just one month because after insertion, by the end of the day they no longer stay in my eye. I was scheduling to come back to see the doctor when I vowed never to return. The staff person was so rude!! I asked if I could simply have the size of the prior script and was told like a parent scolding a child " NO. you have to see the doc." While seeking understanding and simply asking the question again to get the answer it was reiterated with even more nastiness in his/her voice. "you have to see the doc and she is not in today" I said I understand that. What I am asking is why? Why can't I have the same size as last year that actually fit? He/she refused to answer my direct question only to pursue scolding. I will NEVER spend money where I am not provided the same level of respect I provide. The tech for the eyes: didn't greet me when I greeted her. Was not helpful in directing me what to do. She was curt, abrupt and very rude for someone who works with the public. They really need to clean house there. The doctor was absolutely divine!! She was informative, friendly, provided insight at every step. She was so kind that the rudeness I experienced from the person who conducted the first tests was overlooked and I gave rave reviews upon my leaving as well as the survey. Things have changed. The staff is R U D E!!!! They have convinced me they don't need nor desire my patronage.

UPDATE: After reading my original review the practice manager, Kim, reached out to me to rectify…read morethe situation for me. Please know that this office cares and wants to be sure the patients have a positive experience. I appreciated hearing from Kim and her proposed solutions (of which she offered many). ORIGINAL: I had been going here for several years. My first year I got Dr Ward and he was great. Unfortunately, in the subsequent years I was passed off to other newer doctors so I missed the continuity in care. On my last visit, a new doctor recommended I try a "mono vision" approach for my multi focal contacts. I was open to it as she said I could "try it out" since it will take a while to get used to. I was told that if I don't like it to "just call" for an updated prescription. It didn't work for me. When I tried to get an updated prescription (around 119 days later) I was told that I was "outside of my 90 days" and would need to come back in for another eye exam. Of course, I would have to pay out-of-pocket for the exam (my insurance only covers 1 exam per calendar year). I was never told of this 90 day window at any point in conversation with the physician or staff nor is it listed anywhere in the paperwork I was given. I feel this is disingenuous and will therefore be looking for a new eye doctor.
