I came here for the first time since Century Recycling near Vasco is now closed. I really miss that place.... Anyway, I get here about 11:20am on Friday and it is jam packed. The lot is full of cars and tons of people are in front me. Had to wait a few minutes before a worker came over to my car with some garbage cans. I ended up with 2 garbage cans of plastics and one can of aluminum. I drag the cans over to the line of folks ahead of me that are waiting to get their cans weighed. I slowly inch up towards the front where one guy is waiting for the scale operator to print out their receipt so they can bring it to the cashier and get paid. In the meantime, one of the workers drags my can of aluminum to the scale. I'm looking around while waiting for the guy to finish up ahead of me and after awhile I notice a different worker in the back pulling my can of aluminum off the scale and taking it back to the aluminum bin for emptying. I assumed the scale operator had weighed my aluminum while waiting for the receipt to print. Anyway, the guy in front gets his receipt and the scale operator drags my two cans of plastic to the scale and weighs them. As she's printing up my receipt, I ask if she got my aluminum. She nods her head (I don't think she really speaks English too well.) I take my receipt to the cashier and look at it. I only see the plastic listed--no aluminum. I have to go back to the scale operator and wait a bit longer before another worker comes over and asks what the deal is. I tell him and he tries to fill a garbage can with some aluminum to approximate what I had. Pretty sure I ended up getting short-changed in the deal, but at least I'm not getting entirely ripped off. I get paid and can't wait to get out of there. I appreciate that they tried to fix their error, but it was so disorganized there I'm not surprised that it happened. Friendly and polite service, they will help unload the recycling from your vehicle and sort it out for you if it wasn't already pre sorted. They are open most days, which I like and are obviously closed if the weather is bad (rain, high winds). I've been coming here for awhile and have no complaints. They do also have a scrap recycling yard, so they do take more than just bottles and cans. read more

I recently moved to Brentwood and miss this recycling center so much! They're so helpful, come to your car with garbage cans and help unload all your recyclables. They also give you cash on site which is a bonus when you just need a little extra cash! Never knew how good they were until we moved away, definitely recommend! read more

I have made many recycling trips to this place. Every time I pull up there is help waiting for me even to help unload my truck and separate recycling items. I used to travel to Hayward and Oakland, now I can just drive down the street and the rates are great. Thanks! read more

Only place still open in the area, so I guess you take what you can get. Confusing place if you have never been there. Plants block the view of the place, no signs, no directions. 2 driveways. The was a pickup waiting to get in the second driveway so I figured it was a one way thing. Then I got stuck in line with others behind me while I watch people come & go from the 1st driveway. Once I got in I went to the door & asked what I should do & the guy says fill up the cans sorted by type & color. So I had to drag 8 cans over to the car on the other side of the building, fill them up & drag them back in 2 trips hoping the 1st load is still there when I get back (it wasn't, but the employee had taken them). Th ed fellow was not rude, but not really friendly or helpful. All of that for less than $40 refund of my money I paid when I bought the beverages. Not sure it was worth it. I hope the one at the Pleasanton transfer station reopens. They have it all dialed in. read more

This place is the best. Helpful and pleasant staff. Very organized. Everyone I delt with there was very friendly. I was in and out much more quickly than I had expected. I had a bunch of different metals and they took care of everything very quickly and paid me out in cash. I would highly recommend this place. read more

The people that work recycle centers / scrap yards are usually assholes, not these folks. They are one of the nicest bunch of people you'll want to meet. The day I went, they were extremely busy and working as fast as possible. They didn't try to rush me through and explained everything. They pay going rates and I walked away feeling like I scored. read more

These guys are awesome. I've never seen any crew work as hard as they do. They totally help with all you need, and don't judge you for looking like an alcoholic with bags and bags of beer bottles :) and they also pay very well as compared to other recycling facilities. read more

So i read some of the other reviews and a lot of them said the people here were friendly. I didn't think that that could be true, but ut was. They bring you the garbage cabs and even help you put your cans/bottles in the garage cans. They also take them into the garage and weigh them for you. They then give you a receipt, thank you and send you to the office for your money. The clerk inside the office was also very friendly. I will definitely be back. read more

Very impressed with their organization and helpful staff. Arrived on a Wednesday about 10:30a and was out in 5-10 minutes. After seeing questionable practices at other recycle centers, I truly appreciated these folks' methodical weighing and pricing out my cans and bottles and their explanations throughout the process. And I truly appreciated getting cash in hand directly (versus some receipt that had to be used the same day at Safeway!) Very nice staff. I will certainly return. read more

I came to the facility on Wednesday the 27th at 4:55. When I pulled up and was going to pull out my recycle items. I was told by an employee that they were closed. I stated it was not 5 pm yet. He said they can't help me after 4:45pm. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I've been going to this place for many years. So, I said okay. I'll go somewhere else. I will never go back there again. I found another recycling facility in Livermore over by McDonald's on S P St. They also close at 5pm, but the lady still helped me. I travel from Manteca to Livermore to recycle ,its on the way to my trips to the bay area and the prices for aluminum and copper are really good. Staff is most willing to help unload and move your goods to the scales.Recycler in Manteca requires you you to self unload and drag your bins up hill to the scales as well as paying way below price ,no more Go Green recycling center for me . Fast friendly service ,great prices ,and your in and out of there very quickly . Yes I have recomended this recycler to others and they praise how easy recycling is . read more
