On 9/29/25 I purchased a car at Regal Kia at Lakeland, Fl after signing all documents and completed all the process, the salesman said they had lost a key to the car. (A key he mentioned costs about $500) He said would have the key turn in to me in no time. I came back on 10/3/25 ( missed work) only to be told they CANT find the key. Today is 10/9/25 I have been given the run around regarding this issue. I had to missed work again and things I had to do because he stated the key guy goes to the dealership on Thursday, I am here asking for a loaner while they fix THEIR MISTAKE and they are denying to provide one. read more

Started on 2/10 with frannie she was great .on 2/11/26 grannies was great again was told today 2021 Chevy spark was 10,000 to fill out credit app at 11:30 am and we will call you back by used car department after report on credit came back , dolce would call me e back . At 3:00 pm i called them back because nobody ( dolce) did not call me back , talked to frannie again she is the best , she apologized because car was under contract and not available she said i could speak to the manager in used cars and connected me. Explained to him what happened and said he couldn't do anything about it , Explained to him I'm retired was in customer service industry for 52 years and said you always call people back and all he said was they were to busy. My car had been making a squealing noise when I turned to the left for a few months. I had taken it to my local mechanic twice and he was able to make the noise better, but never get it to go away, so I finally sucked it up and brought it to the dealer. This is where my car was purchased and overall we had a pleasant purchase experience. So much so that my parents bought a car here as well. I was just trying to avoid bringing my car here for service because it isn't particularly close or convenient for me. Additionally, dealers have a reputation for ripping you off when it comes to service. They always want to charge you for a whole bunch of stuff you don't really need. That being said, my local mechanic had been unable to resolve my complaint, so I brought the car in and Regal was able to diagnose and fix the issue. My advisor Adrianna was very nice, extremely helpful, and kept in constant contact throughout the day. She deserves 5 stars for sure. She said the car would be ready at 4, but it was closer to 4:30. It wasn't that big of deal to be off by 30 minutes. They washed the outside of my car before returning it to me. It was definitely more expensive than I wanted or expected it to be, but again I'd been dealing with the issue for month and this place isn't convenient for me so I didn't want to have to come back. I was also disappointed that they didn't have a loaner car available since my car took about 8 hours. Thankfully a friend who lives locally was able to take me to work and drive me back. Overall, I was very happy with my service from Adrianna and they were able to fix the issue to my satisfaction. I wish the price point was more reasonable and for that price point they offered loaner cars or some type of service to get people to/from work. read more

I late found out the truck had two prior front end collisions costing me a lot of money to repair. I would also give less stars if I could. Good Lord! Took my Accord in to have the VVT actuator replaced because it is making noise. Common problem on the 2.4 engine. There's even a service bulletin on it. But I guess Regal's techs aren't up on that kind of thing. Anyway, instead of addressing the VVT actuator the Service advisor calls me and says my car needs a $1500.00 starter. The Starter hasn't and still isn't giving me problems! So, after paying them $120.00 to misdiagnose the problem, my car still has the same problem I asked them to address in the first place. If I could give less stars, I would. My husband and I recently purchased a vehicle from the Regal Auto Sales on Bartow Road at the end of July. We put down the down down payment and unfortunately assumed that everything was done and official. Come to find out just a couple of days ago our entire down payment was never fully processed. We just learned that the part of the down payment was just taken out ! It was authorized, but it never was ever taken out! This should have been done the day we purchased the venicle! NOT almost 3 months later!!! This incident really hurt us financially. SHAME ON YOU REGAL!!! I will never purchase another vehicle from them again, if this is now you do business! This not the only issue we have had with Regal. The vehicle's cneck engine light was on, we had no driver side visor, and worse of all, we had to bring. back the vehicle back within 2 days because of bad brakes. At least the fixed the bad brakes. Don't use this dealership. They did two hard pulls on my credit without my permission and tried to bamboozle me into buying a car I really didn't want by implying they would give me a good deal if I bought it that day even though it wasn't really what I wanted.I have to hand it to them, I'm usually a pretty savy buyer, but they have that apologetic, "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought you wanted us to check your credit, our mistake" (while they did not one, but two hard pulls on my credit which is 5 to 10 points per pull) and then tried to get me to sign a permission slip after they'd already done the deed and didn't tell me what it was until I told them I wasn't signing ANYTHING until they explained what it was, and that's how I found out they'd done a hard pull on my credit. I found out about the 2nd one by pulling up my credit report later. They offered me a 3 thousand dollar discount but then added on a "deluxe dealer's package" for 3 thousand five hundred dollars which I had already told them I didn't want earlier. And no matter how many times I demanded to know what the out the door price was, they seemed to be deaf every time I asked. This is a slimy dealership that will try to sell you what they want you to buy and at their price point to make sure they get the maximum profit and customer satisfaction be damned. Do NOT recommend their Bod shop. Sloppy job took 1 month, when originally quoted a week, had to take back a third time and job was not done right. They agreed to call my husband back to fix it again (would have been 4th time back), they never called. Decided not to take it back again. Update: Thank you for your response, but that is not correct. The inspection was initially done off-site as required by our insurance. Everything was listed, as he went over it with your employee. The employees missed that there was damage inside the car, and claimed they found "more damage" and that the shop "was hit by lightning", etc...Our insurance representative had to call to get an update because they too thought it was taking way too long. Our experience at Regal was impressively different and we will certainly be returning for our future purchases. We dealt with people from all over the dealership and each one was great representation of this dealership. We started with Lisa Cheshire at the Chevy dealer after inquiring about a Suburban online and then she got us in the hands of Darrel Montgomery to complete the purchase of our Yukon XL. Both were friendly, patient and made our purchase simple. They understood that I was not just coming in to the dealership before feeling like we were close to sealing a deal. We worked through pricing, rebates, leasing/purchasing options all through email and that made the day of our purchase very simple. Pedro in the Honda finance area completed our purchase paperwork and he, too, was great! We highly recommend giving Regal a try, even if it requires a longer drive. read more

Every time I come to this dealer it is a problem! Customer services calls a few days later to follow up and then nothing... this is the second time I had a terrible experience and the General Manager has yet to call as the 'customer service manager' told me he would on both occasions! This most recent time getting my vehicle serviced at Regal was 5/19; I was very reluctant to bring my Traverse in but I needed service and I couldn't make a trip out of town to Chevy of Bartow... I brought it in and Regal lost my keys!! They had to call around and have someone who left for the day come back to unlock an office where they were inside. All the techs that were still working looked stressed and irritated! I don't blame them, I would be too! They are a fancy dealership with bells and whistles, free car washing too but do not understand basic customer service! My last vehicle I had serviced here was even worse... I brought it in for an oil change and routine maintenance only for the techs to tell me the car was good to go, I could tell it needed breaks but they said they checked them out and they were fine. I brought it back for a scheduled appointment to replace the breaks shortly after because it continued to resist when breaking, they didn't order the breaks or have a loner car ready instead they sent me to enterprise... oh jeeze... I ended up paying for a rental Regal told me would be complementary!! I had asked them to look at my AC as well... the techs at Regal told me it was working, if you call blowing hot air working then yes it was. I bought a large can of refrigerant from Walmart with a hose and tested / refilled the AC at home! Regal lost me as a customer, however I thought I would give them a try again since it's been over a year from the other issues. I'll be going back to Bartow for service again, though it's an hour out of my way. read more

Used Cars - Went to check on $4,000 used car advertised online. When they provided quote price ended up being $7,112 and claims the $3,000 additional fee is tags, title, fees. Especially when they knew I did not need tag. Then treated me like this was the first time buying a used car advertised online. They chastise customers who mention this saying people come in the door and expect to pay the online price. This large dealrership gives reputable used car dealers a bad name. read more

What a great place/company to purchase a vehicle. After visiting several dealers in search of the perfect used vehicle we stumbled upon Regal. Spaso took excellent care from beginning to end. We were so eager to drive away in our new (used) vehicle that we left without having the truck detailed. Spaso told us to bring it back and he'd have it taken care of. And that's exactly what happened. Not to mention there are a couple of minor things that need repair and without question, Regal will be rectifying those items as well. And yes there were up-selling techniques when we stepped into the finance office, but that's to be expected wherever you go. Amazing...I hate to right internet reviews but this dealership left me no choice. I emailed everyone including the owner and got one phone call from the salesman and that was it. Below is the email I sent to 7 people in management and sales at Regal Automotive and got no response. It is amazing how fast the respond if you want to purchase a car but how the do not respond at all if you have a problem. Letter below! Sonny, I am in receipt of your letter dated 1 June thanking me for buying a Kia and asking if I had "A Different Experience" Below lays out my experience with Regal Automotive Group. 1. Took over 6 hours to drive away in the car even though I had financing before I arrived. Huge backlog at the financing office cause severe delays. Made me sit in the lounge for over 3 hours waiting to close the deal. I know it a Kia and not a BMW but that seems a little extreme. 2. Upon closing the deal they could not find the car. They left me standing outside for 40 minutes. The manager made a page but had little concern. When I went back into the office and asked where is the car the manager told me it was in detail. The car had been sent to detail over 3 hours beforehand. He was just telling me something to make me go away. The care was found at the Chevrolet dealership. An apology may have been nice. 3. Then once the car arrived there was no gas it in it. The assigned a guy that barely spoke English and told me to follow him to the gas station. No Kidding!!!!! He was confused and asked me the customer what he was supposed to do. I went back in to the manager again and he paged for any salesman. No one showed up so he took off in the vehicle to fill the tank. 4. Told the salesman I drive over 800 mile a week and picked the Kia for it ratings and gas mileage. What vehicle today does not have cruise standard? The FORTE! I did not notice the vehicle did not have cruise until I started my commute yesterday. OMG what a shock. It is my fault but a good sale reprehensive would have explained what I was giving up in the cheaper model of the Forte. 5. Finally I contacted my salesman and several other email addresses to get the cost of installing cruise control in the vehicle. Finally, my salesman calls me and gives me the price. I asked if he could see if there was any way possible to lower this cost and he was going to have General Manager get back with me. I have heard nothing. Overall the experience was not good. I think the car is fine but would recommend using another dealership to purchase your Kia. I drove from Tampa to Lakeland to buy this vehicle and this was a mistake. Bought a used Nissan NV200 for my delivery company. About 30,000 or so miles on it. Seemed like a good deal. Of course, at this time in history, there is no negotiation on cars. I dont hate the player....supply and demand (buyers will have their turn in about a year). Now, here's my beef.....dealers have now tacked on a "reconditioning fee" or "inspection fee"....whatever....a nice way to add on more money....again, I dont hate the player.....I'd actually prefer they just jump the price....be honest. Now the juicy part here is the car DIED...DEAD.....12 HOURS AFTER I BOUGHT IT......yep, 12 hours, Gods honest truth. It now sits in a Nissan Dealership and Im out a van. I can't speak to their services department, but in terms of car sales, these guys were absolutely wonderful. After dealing with numerous shady salesman at another dealership (read: Orlando Kia North) and hardly any customer service from another, Regal was a diamond in the rough. Buddy and Justin were straightforward and honest from the get-go. They treated me fairly and with respect, and negotiated a great price for my new Soul. I received a little less for my trade-in than I would have hoped, but considering that I TOWED the damn thing onto their lot, I can't hold that against them much. Buddy never once changed the numbers from our first negotiations--in fact, my monthly payment went down by a few dollars. Justin didn't attempt to talk me into any additional warranties or service contracts--he merely went over them, and when I said I wasn't interested, that was that. No pressure. They went out of their way to get the color I wanted when they didn't have it in stock, and split the cost of the retrieval with me (only $75 for my half). To top it all off, Justin was gracious enough to follow me to return my rental, then drive me back to the dealership in his car while my new one was being detailed. He made friendly and real conversation while I waited for another buyer to finish up with financing. And he had my plates transferred and all of my belongings from my trade-in ready to go in my new vehicle as soon as I was done--down to my SunPass and my Mickey Mouse keychain. And I just got a call today from Buddy, offering to send me a reimbursement check for forgetting to fill my gas tank before I drove off the lot (an hour after closing time can do that). *Regal North Side Location 0 Stars if I could and warn everyone before going! I Drove from work Tampa and wife from Home Ocala, FL to look at a truck priced at $38,900. Got to the dealership test drove it and talked about the price and I made an offer. Manager Price went from $38,900 without tax etc. to around $45,900. w tax, tag etc. etc. which they also added a $2,800 fee for oil change and other stuff.(never heard of a dealership doing this but anyways) Almost $7,000 for tax, tag, fees and Oils change and other stuff (sounds shady). 2 days later I checked there website again (I assume) they priced the truck wrong and noticed they jacked it up to $41,900. They could of save me and my wife time by telling us price is wrong instead of making us drive all the way there test drive it to jack the price up while we are there. Ridiculous. read more

My fiancé and I purchased a jeep from here not even a year ago. We drove an hour to come see it. I fell in love with this jeep as it had everything I had been searching for. Honestly my dream jeep. All black, newer 2018 model, lifted, big wheels and tires, etc. this fiasco literally took 6 hours of negotiating and paperwork SIX HOURS. They literally swapped out sales guys as the first guy was super nice but was not giving us the price we wanted and literally saw online for so they brought in the other guy who clearly was the "sales" guy so to say and he immediately became very aggressive and rude haggling us on the price of the jeep. We finally came to an agreement and made it to the financing guy. This guy messed up our paperwork which just tipped everything else off. These people just don't care about you or your time. They just want the sale and that's it. 2018 Jeep Wrangler with only 30k miles on it. Told us brand new lift kit as well 0 issues. Welp guess what, the jeep squeaks so loud any bump it goes over like it's a piece of crap vehicle. We try lubricating the bushels to see if that would help (it didn't) only to find CORROSION on the frame and drive shaft that was PAINTED OVER TO COVER IT UP!!! We would of taken it back to get fixed but again they are an hour from us and we don't have the time to take a day off work to go do that and deal with these crooks again! So to sum it up, these people will not take care of you, and will take advantage of you and make you think you're getting quality but in reality you could be getting a vehicle with issues that they've just tried to cover up for the sale. Horrible dealership bought a Denali from the used side car lot from Ivan. First very upset I showed up pretty late to meet him to see the car I do live 2.5 hours away. When we left the lot I left my garage remote in the trade in and I called told them how far I was and if they could send me the remote they said no it was against policy which is pretty messed up after I bought a 55k plus truck from them and told me I had to drive there to get it. After just a couple hundred miles I seen that the oil change needed to be change breaks are squeaking and filter needed to be replaced and as well as tires needed rotating. This is horrible customer service from the company and from the horrible sales guy that didn't know anything about the truck when I went to buy and had attitude the whole time I was there. With regard to the Regal Kia dealership.... Found a 2014 Ford Focus through the Sam's Club Auto Buying program that use the TrueValue system. I sent the inquiry asking if the vehicle was available. I was contacted by Brook. I explained that I would be buying this from out of state and asked several questions. Later in the day when I had time to review the link she sent me I called back to discover if the car was automatic or manual. The description made it appear manual but the pictures showed automatic. I explained I needed automatic for my daughter. She stated she would have one of her guys go out on the lot and look....I got a call from Thomas minutes later assuring me that it was an automatic. I even asked if it was a real car because I had come across other dealers that claim to have a car, then it's sold and they try to offer another vehicle. He assured that was not how they do business. I stated again that I am out of state and would send my niece to test drive the next day. He told me not to worry, if she drives it and gives it a thumbs up he would do the paperwork, take the deposit and hold the car for a week until I could get there. I was pleased....until. The following day I texted him and my nieces texted him that she would be there in 30 minutes (during her lunch hour). She arrived and nobody knew anything. Thomas was on a test drive. She waited only to be told it was in for service. I text Thomas asking if there was a problem and he said no that it was in for service but if she wanted to test drive a newer car with fewer miles for $2000 more, she could. Red Flags went up. I said no, that was out of the budget and to let us know when the car was ready...neither her or I heard anything. I tried calling twice and he no longer answered the phone. So I called the manager. Eric spoke to me and informed me they sold the car 2 days earlier but this wasn't a bait and switch this was just his employee being lazy because he never went out onto the lot to be sure they had the vehicle....and I then clarified why it was and why it is illegal and will be reported to the state attorney generals office (and I have all the correspondence to prove it). 1. the car was already sold when I sent the inquiry asking if it was available. Brook stated it was 2. I was led to believe that Thomas actually looked at the vehicle to confirm it was an automatic 3. My niece took time to come down there only to find no vehicle and they first tried to sell her on the newer more expensive model (keep in mind she was just checking it out for me, not the buyer). 4. They try to sell me on the newer more expensive model. I stated no and to please let us know when it was available. 5. No one responds (because their bait and switch failed) and when I finally get a manager I am told the vehicle was sold 2 days earlier. It should be noted that dealers state it takes a while for vehicles to come offline, that is not true. I am communication professor and know exactly how new media operates...it is lazy responses and a lack of integrity that keeps a vehicle post (because surprisingly that vehicle was still posted earlier today and now magically is gone). Was offered to drive car around town, took it to my wife she liked it. Came back the next night to get it and had to wait over 4 hours to get in the finance office. James rushed through our paperwork and explained almost nothing, I explained I did not have the 500 dollars down that was required he said no problem bring it Monday. When I read the paperwork I found I was also charged for"ding damage" for $195.00. I also realized I was missing a spare tire and he said I was missing nothing. Let's say my faith in these guys is shaken, plus I did not like how it drove on the highway. James was nice enough to give me his cell phone number, guess what he doesn't answer it. On Monday I dropped the car off and left the keys on the dash. I told them I was not going to pay them the 500 balance, they said thats okay they didn't want the car back. They gave me the tire. I called in the late afternoon about a car they had available, and employee Rebecca confirmed this via phone call and text. She assigned us to Trey, who became the definition of a sketchy "used car salesmen." We immediately got in the car to drive the 1.5 hrs to the dealership, texting her along the way. When we arrived, Trey looked for the keys for about 20 min then told us the car had been sold. He offered us a car $10K over the price that we were looking for. His lack of enthusiasm for customer service and concern for our time was disgusting. I have now read other reviews that makes it clear this is a tactic they use to get people in the door, even it if means them driving 3 hrs round trip only to waste their time. This is by far the best car buying experience I have had. I hate all the paperwork and the excess sales stuff. Greg was great, however. He did his best to make the process go more quickly, was an engaging conversationalist, and even took me to an area with brick-paved roads because I wanted to be sure I was buying a quiet-sounding and smooth-feeling car. The 2017 Niro was just what I was looking for. So why am I writing this review nearly two years after the purchase of my car? A flat tire. I texted Greg to ask what I needed to do before going to the dealership/service center closest to me. On his day off, he responded immediately. So here I sit in the waiting room at the nearest service center, writing this review to say, "Thanks, Greg!" He's still here for me. I was promised a full tank of gas and detailing before purchasing a 2012 Kia Soul, but received neither. Financing messed up my paperwork twice and had to make two trips to Lakeland from South Tampa. The sales manager, Stan Hill, promised a $50 gas card and detailing for my travels to Lakeland. When I got there, I had to wait about an hour for Stan to help me complete my paperwork. He had me sit right behind him in a chair while I waited. I ended up leaving around 8 that night and received nothing promised to me. Very unprofessional dealership and would not budge on price of vehicle. Staff was condescending because I am a woman and referred to me by terms of endearment which I did not appreciate. I have contacted the general manager and finally reached him after leaving him multiple voice mails to call me back. He said he would make things right and have the new manager, Mike, call me and still no calls. I am really not holding my breath for a callback. In my phone call to the general manager, I also complained that finance had messed up on my payments with the bank as well. When I purchased the vehicle, Stan had told me my payments would be $400 and my coupon book came and my payments are actually $436. Nobody gives a care about keeping a customer. I was in the market for a truck and after months of searching I found a Chevy Silverado 2500 at this dealership. I drove an hour north from St Pete to Lakeland to test drive the truck during which I discovered a few issues that Rick said would be no problem to fix. He said I would just need to bring the truck back later that week and they would fix the issues. Little did I know the long drawn out fiasco that would follow. We finished the test drive and Rick came back with the listing and everything look as I expected except for an addition $2000 fee. He stated that was an additional fee related to having the truck inspected and making sure it was road worthy. This was not in the email he sent me the day before when I asked what fees I should expect nor on the website. He stated that it was a normal fee that is on all their vehicles. I should have left right then; it would have saved me months of frustration that followed in my dealings with this deceptive dealership. We eventually came to an agreement on the price and I drove home with it. The day after I got the truck home, I checked the engine air filter and the cabin air filter; they were black with dirt. The dealership didn't ever do a basic service on the truck before they listed it for sale. It was at this point I started to have serious concerns about the truck and the integrity of the dealership. The next Monday I drove back to the dealership and was assured the 3 issues would be fixed by the next day. I had to call the service dept multiple times over the next 3 days to get updates on the truck. Their communication to me about my truck was non-existent. I called several times and got transferred around. All I wanted was an update on the repairs they promised. By Wednesday I had had enough of this dealership games and drove back to the dealership and got the truck back, yet with only one of the three issues fixed. The main issue was the tow mirrors that were advertised as power folding, yet they did not work. I was advised when I picked the truck up on Wednesday that the mirrors on the truck were not original to the truck. I argued that it was advertised as having them and I expected to have them. The service rep that I was working with; Kyle, said that I needed to it take up with my sales rep: Rick Gaddis, who didn't answer call nor emails. I left extremely frustrated. I contacted Chevy Customer Service and got Andrew. After 3 months I began to press Andrew to escalate the issue up his chain as he was not able to make any headway. It was then that I learned from Andrew that Chevy Customer Service listed on the Chevy website is a 3rd party and has no authority or power to do anything! More than 3 months were waisted dealing with Andrew and Chevy Customer Service with no results! I went back to the dealership website and used the contact us link in hopes of getting someone at the dealership to reply. The next day, to my surprise, I got a call from the dealership. This person was able to connect me to Rick who stated that he had no call or emails from me since the sale was done almost 3 months before, despite the many emails, calls and voicemails I left him. I explained the issue with the tow mirrors and he said he would reach out to his sales manager and have someone call me. No one ever did. I finally checked the Yelp reviews; something that I should have done before I ever started working with the dealership. The Regal dealerships have horrible reviews and I recommend never to deal with any of them. I found a number for Alaina S on Yelp and called her. I explained the issue and she said she would speak to her manager about it and call me back. She came back with a document called a Due Bill that was signed when I was with the finance manage. It's a way for them to get out of fixing or making right anything that might not be on the truck. In my case, the original advertisement for the truck listed power folding tow mirrors. However, because I did not write on the document that these were not the original, which I had no way of knowing unless I took the mirrors apart at the dealership, they will not make it right by installing or providing the mirrors. She also pointed to disclaimer on the web site which is run by a 3rd party, not the dealership, which states that the vehicle pictured and listed may not be the actual vehicle. She tried to use that excess to cover why the advertisement for the truck did not represent the actual vehicle. If the dealership advertises a truck with features on their site, they are responsible, whether its run by the dealership or a 3rd party. In the end the call with Alaina S did not go well, the frustration level went up as she used excuse after excuse as to why they are not responsible for what's on the website. Avoid this dealership at all cost. They will tell you anything to make a sale. Once you drive off the lot, you are on your own. Their integrity and creditability is worthless. read more

We've taken our Honda Odyssey here twice now and the experience has been horrible both times. We avoid the dealer but had to use them because there was an airbag issue and our local mechanic said he can't do that work. First of all, you're going to pay $95 just for them to look at your car. Just to tell you what the issue is and then quote you a price it's 95 dollars which is insane. What's worse is they've quoted us all these other things that are supposedly wrong with our car that our mechanic is saying is flat out lying and has shown us exactly the issue they're talking about and had we blindly accepted their recommendation we'd be out two grand. What's even worse is we paid $95 to these people to give us bad info to try and take our money, and they spent more time taking off my wife's license plate to screw in their Regal Honda license plate frame without asking. I hate to say it, but make the drive to a further away dealer. This place is horrible. read more

Excellent service department, excellent sales. But waiting room definitely needs some more amenities (better chairs, pre-chilled water instead of warm water bottles that they put into an ice bucket. Employees should not be allowed to eat snacks put there for customers.) Car wash is poor - windshield always dirtier when you leave than it was when you brought it in. The pros are 5 star each, the cons are 3 star each, overall review is 4 stars. read more
