Happy Forth of July! I can't believe this location stayed open for the holiday. I decided to see the BFG in 3D.....Totally worth it!!! I managed to catches the 10pm showing. Before moving into the theater I made a quick stop to the snack counter. Grabbed a Beer (Woodchuck Cider) my personal favorite!!! Cost about $6, they give you a wristband. You can't purchase more than 3 beers I think....Then again who would leave the theater for a beer---Not I!!! There's a nice selection of beer and wine. There were about 5 people in the theater. I found the perfect middle seat! Yay Me!!!! The seats were comfy, floors clean, the movie played through without any technically problems. The staff here is much nicer than the North Hills location. read more

Crossroads 20 was once the only place to go for people in Cary and Apex. At its peak, it was one of the coolest spots in town. Many years later, the luster has worn off a little. I don't know if it's age, or familiarity, but the passion in this marriage has all but died. Crossroads has 20 screens (Get it!?!? Get it!?!?). Each theater features a moderate amount of stadium seating. You will still have to fight your neighbor for the armrests when the latest Marvel movie opens, but overall, the seats contribute very positively to the experience. Crossroads is home to one of the few IMAX screens in the area. It is also home to the worst 3D glasses that I've ever worn. Reference some of the pictures. These glasses feel like crap, and it is not a great way to enjoy an epic 2.5-3 hour movie. What happened to those delightful black rimmed 3D glasses that basic girls love to punch the lenses out of then wear as a fashion statement? Okay fine, not just basic girls, as I totally have done that before. Be sure to sign up for Regal rewards and present your card each time you make a purchase of anything at the theater. The employees are supposed to always ask you for it, but they seldom do. You'll rack up points very quickly, because movie theater prices. For those local to it, Crossroads 20 remains a nice place to catch a movie. If they could go back to the old 3D glasses, then the passion will come back into this marriage, and I won't need to see anybody on the side. Until then, I will have to cheat on Crossroads 20 when I want to see IMAX 3D movies. read more

WARNING they will dig through your bag/purse here!!! Not just open and check. They dug through and touched all our stuff. Ticket check was so intrusive I'm surprised they didn't pat us down. Also the website is buggy when purchasing tickets. Terrible experience trying to book seats. The actual theater isn't bad. I have been to Crossroads 20 several times, and they did add an IMAX screen to it this year. They IMAX has very nice chairs, and are better than the regular seats. On the visit last night, I did notice a few broke chairs in the non IMAX screen, and some chairs where the cover was ripped. The prices of the concessions are high compared to the smaller theaters. The staff is friendly for the most part, and the lines are shorter here in the concessions than at some of the other theaters, since they are willing to open up more registers. As far as parking, there is plenty of parking with their massive parking lot. read more

This is my favorite movie theater aside from the Raleigh Grande on Lynn Rd off Glenwood. Great sound system, comfortable seating, and I especially love that they have privacy wall barriers behind each row of seats so you nobody's distracted by moviegoers around them. Make sure to book tickets online to reserve good seats! Just watched Avengers Age of Ultron in IMAX 3D, and I had a great experience overall at Crossroads. The theater was very nice and clean. We got there an hour early to wait in line, and there were plenty of movie ushers keeping the line organized. I didn't like the 3D glasses we were given. I know they're supposed to be designed to fit every head size, but they seemed narrow and fit awkwardly on the bridge of your nose. The actual theater we were in was clean and spacious. They didn't try to cram the seats too close together and there was plenty or leg room. The seats were amazingly comfortable, probably some the best seats in a theater around the Raleigh area. The IMAX screen was big and was impressive like any other IMAX. The sound quality was really good too. It made you feel like you were actually in the movie. Overall, I had a good experience at the movie and would definitely go back to this theater. read more

Great location! 6 minutes from where I live, and in a good area! I usually go here when it's past normal hours (between 8-10pm), so it's not as busy as I expect it usually is. However, it was an enjoyable experience nonetheless! My boyfriend and I went to go see Guardians of the Galaxy (finally!) and it was great! No long lines to pay (10:20pm movie time, hehe), open area for the snack/food section, and almost empty theater for the movie. Comfortable seats, and such a clean facility, this place will definitely be my go-to place for my next movie! I HIGHLY suggest this place for that "dinner and a movie" date you have planned with your significant other ;) read more

The service here is inconsistent. One day its ok, the next there's 20 people in line at the concession stand with 2 staff members struggling or there'll be several employees huddled socializing. As a movie lover I overlooked the less than stellar service to enjoy IMAX 3D. However, I'll be taking my business else where. We purchased tickets 5 weeks in advance for an 8pm show. I noticed a week before that the 8pm show was no longer posted. However, a 7pm show was listed so I attempted to call the theater to no avail as the number listed on their website is incorrect. Upon arrival we were told IMAX dictated Regal cancel the 8pm to add a 7 and 10pm show. While I can appreciate contractual obligations, customer experience should also be prioritized. If Regal was able to post a 7pm show, then surely they could have posted the cancellation of the 8pm show to allow patrons to make other plans, IF they were fortunate enough to discover the changes prior to arrival. read more

Assigned seats are just going a bit too far but otherwise it was enjoyable. Loved the recliners and I slept thru the entire movie! The popcorn did not taste fresh and didn't notice it ever being popped. Tastes little it comes from a bag. Plus both times and concessions cost way too much. Worst food ever! Terrible food service. People there need some basic training. The teenager looking guy was very rude and gave me the wrong order , I told him that there were some missing things, his answer was "hmmmm we don't have that" what?? he should have told us that they did not have that BEFORE charging it to our cards, no solution offered other than a plain mini hot dog. We spent $36 on: 1 awful mini hot dog, 1 Dorito Nacho, nothing like the picture advertised in there, it was just a pack of regular doritos($1.99 in wallmart) with a small and tasteless cheese dipping sauce only this was like $8.00 1 medium size popcorn and a medium size drink. read more

Went 7/16/22 and walking into the place it looked really nice and then we went to our theater which smells so foul. It had smelt like someone died in there. Smelt so horrible all the way to our seats which were ok seats. They were recliners and they had a cup holder and overall was comfortable. We got our food which was 3 drinks, loaded fries and mozzarella sticks which was insanely overpriced but that's almost every movie theater. We had waited almost 15 mins just for our food which was good but it shouldn't have taken that long. Real good fries though read more

Expensive & Disrespectful.... I showed up to attend a 7:15 movie. I was in my seat...ready to go a few minutes before that. At exactly 7:15, the movie previews started...and continued for the next 26 minutes. Yes, I timed it. There were 8 movie trailers and 2 commercials taking up 26 minutes of time. The "7:15" movie finally started...at 7:41. This is an outrage, and as consumers, we should expect more consideration for our time. I already paid $10 to view a movie. Apparently, the theater does not think this is enough, and so they literally "sell" 26 minutes of my time to the movie studios and force me to sit through more advertisements for their product. If any other industry tried this, they would be out of business. Imagine if you showed up at the local McDonald's and, before taking your order, they force you to watch 26-minutes of advertising...Would you still visit? Why is the movie theater industry any different? Apparently, this theater does not have any respect for its patrons, or their time. read more

I had to laugh at Crossroads my first visit. I was at the concession stand... Can I get a bottle of water, and some nachos. We're actually out of nachos. Really?? Darn. Okay, well, just give me a hot dog. Ooh. He just got the last one. Oh. Okay. Uhm, well, make that an order of the hot dog sliders. Sure. It takes 20 minutes to heat those. I could only begin to laugh incredulously and sputter, "You know what. Just forget it." Now, aside from that, my experience was pleasant. The theater is well air-conditioned and clean. When I've come for advance screenings, I appreciate that they let us wait indoors (as opposed to outside), and that they open their theater for seating in advance of the film's start time (which I've quickly learned some other places do not... resulting in standing in heels for 2 hours). Pretty clear picture and pleasant staff on the occasions I've interacted with them. Just don't order the cinnamon pretzel [1]. I'm not a fan of this theater. They show 20 minutes of previews before movies. Seriously, I timed it. Unfortunately if you time it to arrive 20 minutes late to a movie, all the good seats will be taken. But the part that's unforgivable is you can hear the sound from other movies in your theater. Seriously, is there anything that breaks the mood more than hearing happy music or singing during an incredibly tense, silent scene in your movie? There's no excuse for that. They really need to either improve the soundproofing between theaters, or schedule showings so that they're not showing movies in adjacent theaters at the same time. read more

Crossroads 20 has nice theaters. The seats are comfy (even when one is scrunched in a full house), and the facilities are nice, with good picture quality. Really, about the only thing you shouldn't do here is buy food. $8 bags of popcorn, highly priced sodas that are about the size of a tub, hot dogs, etc. I mean, I understand that this is where theaters make the dolla dolla bills, but good God. That being said, Crossroads is A-OK. I wouldn't make the trip from Chapel Hill unless I was going to a free showing (as I did both times), but it's okay. read more

I went to see Kickass at this theater with a few friends, and it was a really good experience. They honored my student discount without looking at my ID, so the ticket ran me about $8.50. I typically don't go to full-priced theaters if I can help it, and had I not appeared to be a student I would have payed $10 bucks for the thing! I think that's pretty high. That having been said, the theater was very clean, the staff was extremely friendly, and the seats were comfy. I would return in the future if there was a movie I just couldn't wait for...but in general, I'll probably still stick to the bargain cinemas :) read more

How do you mess up a movie theater? Let these people run it. They some how found a way to run out of carbonated soda. No signs telling you this just wait until you order and then some young kid stumbles through telling you they are out of soda. Kid is so shook from everyone being a little frustrated by the lack of drink he rings up the wrong movie. Thankfully they are so short staffed no one is there checking tickets. Saw a manager walking around and asked about the drink situation and he really could have cared less, yeah out of carbonation not sure when it's coming in I am handcuffed here wag at do you want me to do? Well I know what I won't be doing. I won't be giving them anymore of my money. So as theaters lose more money year after year these are the reasons why. I mean when people are will to pay six dollars for a drink you should find a way to make them feel as if their experience at your place is enjoyable. I believe I have heard that this is the only theatre in RTP that has all DLP technology screens, which is pretty awesome if you care about the visual quality of your films. The theatre itself is fairly convenient as far as access to the freeway and has plenty of parking space available. The seats recline, the popcorn is buttery and it has a place to get your tickets printed via self-service. Hooray for no lines and not having to talk thru a hole to someone to get your tickets. Have to say that I was pretty disappointed in my movie going experience. First, the place looks like it hasn't been updated since 1992 or cleaned since the early 2000's. The screen and sound were good and that's what got them the second star. The thing that really diminished our enjoyment was the asinine and draconian alcohol policies! I'm 55 freaking years old, yet they made the same employee who served me card me each time I got a beer. On top of that they made us wear paper brackets that they initialed each time we got a drink....Ridiculous! For the reputation I'd heard about this place, I expected better. But it was OK. Expensive as all shit - popcorn, two drinks, two tickets, and we're up to $40. I could buy the movie on Blu-Ray the day it comes out, popcorn and pop from the store, and still have enough left over for a cheap "favor" from someone of ill-repute. Stadium seating, which is good. When I wrote my review for the Regal North Hills a while back I mentioned that I thought the Cary location was better. Well, I guess I hadn't been to the Cary location in a while, because now I think they're basically the same quality. It's a movie theater, nothing special. Concessions are outrageous, like most other theaters. The Regal Rewards Card is free though and it's pretty easy to rack up points. My biggest complaint about this theater is the acoustics and sound. Either the sound in each theater is crazy loud or the walls are really thin; or both I guess. But sometimes there will be a quieter part or tense scene during the movie and you'll hear the battle scene going on in the theater next door; it's pretty obnoxious. read more

One of the cleaner/newer movie theaters in the raleigh/cary area. It gets packed and tickets are quickly sold out for new movies so get yours ahead of time! Their seats are arranged so that there is plenty of leg room and the seats themselves are roomy with a lot of cushion~ Tip: go on a Tuesday because tickets are $5 all day!! I came here because of all the buzz about it being the new IMAX theater, but unfortunately, although the sound system delivered, the size of the screen was subpar. It's probably the smallest IMAX screen I've seen. However, management was really friendly and was making a strong effort to make customers feel welcome. The theater itself is very clean and stadium seating is always a plus. You have your usual snacks and what's great is that you're around a huge shopping center with many options to dine at before or after your movie. Parking is abundant as well. I'd definitely come back again, just not for the IMAX experience. read more

This is the worst theater experience I've had in a long time. I don't really go to movies anymore, as most movies are generic crap and I'd rather just wait a few months, but I wanted to go see Logan. I get there and I find out they reserve seats now. So even though I was there 20 minutes early I couldn't pick a good seat. Then the new "luxury recliners" were hard as a rock bench, and they only lean back if you use the stupid recline buttons. I'm sorry but I don't need to lay down like an asshole in public to watch a movie. It's embarrassing for you and me. The worst part though is the GIANT fluorescent white lights in the roof. They finally dimmed them and it still cast a giant white light over the whole theater. I left the movie to ask the manager to dim them, and she said that's as low as they can go. So basically, it's like a giant Cell phone, on bright, hanging over your head. I hate it. I'll never go back to that theater again. Crossroads 20 is very easy to get in and out of and plenty of parking spots. I usually park as far out as I can, so I can always find a spot. The theater is clean and well organized. The concession stand has all the favorites and some new ones. The restroom are clean and kept up ( I speak for the men's room only). We have been here a number of times and always had a good experience. It was my Wife's turn to pick a movie on our movie date night this time. So she picked Burlesque. She said it was a chick flick and I said it certainly is. I let her do some arm twisting on me so I gave in. Cher and Christina Aguilera star in the movie. I am a fan of Cher because I have followed her from the beginning. But Christina, I am not so much. I remember when she came on the seen in her Tennie Bob Pop songs. I am not a fan of Pop so I did not follow her career. Hey, I am a Blues, Rock, Jazz guy with a little Classical also. But I have to say Christina was a sensation in this movie. She belted out Blues songs that made my back bone feel weak. I have a new respect for her and let me tell you she is in excellent shape. The Movie does not have any slow scenes in it and it keeps your attention from beginning to end. I think Christina may be nominated for the Little Man, but time will tell. My wife asked me if I liked the movie after it was over. OK What guy would not like a movie with beautiful woman entertaining you . Enough said on that. Crossroads 20 delivered the sound as if you were there. They do have a IMAX but the screen is not as big as the one in Raleigh I am told. The seats were very comfortable and accommodating a drink or two in the arms. Gradual Tier seating so you can see over the person wearing a hat. Crossroads has thought of almost everything to make your movie experience a pleasant one. read more

They serve beer here, so... there's that. Here's the deal: At the concession counter, you get carded and get a wristband. You choose a beer from a limited selection of bottles. They had some local beers and some national beers - I remember they had a couple by Hi-Wire (Asheville) and Blue Moon. They mark your wristband after every beer and you're allowed three max. Now, the actual theater is pretty unremarkable. It must be a bit old by now because the seats are worn and the comfort level is only just about tolerable. Hopefully an update is coming. Went to see a movie and the seats we paid 12.50 each for (3 seats) all had broken recliners. It was in row b too so it made it super difficult to watch the movie and our necks are hurting because of it. Won't return because I'll never know whether my seats will actually recline as they advertise. UPDATE: I contacted the theater from the comment left below and the response only frustrated me more. I was told that if I was unhappy I should've left the theater within 20 minutes of start time. And because I stayed to see the ONLY viewing of the film that was sold out, they assume I am happy with the circumstance. Game changers had a nationwide viewing at 7:30pm on this day. It was the only date and time that it would be shown. Why would I leave even if I was uncomfortable? I am not happy with the circumstance and now I am not only less likely to go to this movie theater, I am so irritated that i am at the "tell my friends and family" why they also should not go there point. I have gone to this theater for years and have never had the experience I had tonight, but the theater where my show was playing was filthy from the front entrance, through the corridor, up the stairs, and at my seat. Popcorn was all over the floor and in the seats and cupholders of my assigned seat. I was really disappointed, because in these times when you take a chance to go to a theater, you really don't want to want to sit in these conditions. The usher at the front of the theater contacted the manager to come speak to me when I reported this and sent someone to head to the theater to clean up. The manager never came to the front and the young man who responded to clean up had no cloth or anything to clean out the cupholder. The staff I did come in contact with, however, is a very pleasant group and they tried to appropriately respond. read more

This movie theatre is annoying. They remodeled and the reclining Chairs are nice but there is a low wall in front of each row of chairs and when I recline I'm too short to see over the wall and I can only see 8/10 of the screen! They messed up when they built the wall height. Don't sit in the very back row!!! It's the worst back there! My 6'4" husband said it was too high for him too. And the stupid air was blowing on me and it was really loud when it was blowing so it was hard to hear the movie especially since every person in the movie had an Irish accent or Italian accent and spoke quietly so I'm like what did he say? My husband and I fell in love with this theater years ago. It was the only place in town that felt like the Empire 25 in Manhattan. We are very choosey about our movie theaters. We go to the Raleigh Road Drive-In when we want to take the kids out for a summer movie night. BUT... When we want to catch an awesome flick on a giant screen with high quality sound, ice cold air conditioning and stadium seating that prevents the fat idiot in front of you from blocking your view of that incredible action scene... We go to Crossroads 20. You can catch an awesome new movie at one of their midnight showing parties. I say party because that's what it feels like. People having fun, sometimes dressed up in costume for the event, excitedly awaiting the release of the blockbuster hit they've been waiting for since they saw the teaser trailer the year before. There's nothing like it. Okay, so the concession stand prices are high. Name one modern theater where the menu doesn't mention something about an arm or a leg. They're all like that now. *** The place is huge. There are a ton of screens, so you can always catch the movie you want to see without having to wait for too long. *** The staff are always friendly and helpful. *** You can buy your tickets in advance to eliminate waiting at the counter. Really, I don't know why anyone nowadays wouldn't. *** There are a ton of bathrooms so you don't have to wait very long, if at all, when the movie lets out. A very over-looked feature that I find very important, especially after watching LOTR: Return of the King. Wow! That was a long movie. *** There are a bunch of video games to have fun with while you're waiting for the seating to begin. Bottom Line - It's a great high-class theater that will deliver an awesome movie. read more

This theater is one we've been going to for about 13 years and, I have to say, in the past six months it has really gone downhill. This place is filthy. We came to a matinee at 3 pm and there was a straw in the butter for the popcorn, oil on the walls, powder on the counters, napkin holders were out of napkins, etc. if this place is under new management, it's not good management. Price gouging at its worst!!! $4.49 for a 20 oz. bottle of Dasani, which is basically filtered water! $4.49 for an over cooked hot dog, and $7.09 for about 8 ounces of pop corn. Regardless of how great a movie is, next time I'm having lunch or dinner before the movie. They are not getting my money ever again at their concession stand. A couple of weeks ago I purchased 48 bottles of spring water at Publix for $4.99! Someone needs to bring these theaters pricing practices under control! read more
