    2025 | Inside | Hallway | Colorful & fun!!

April, June & July 2025 | Cerritos | Regal Edwards in Cerritos is a colorful Theater with seemingly fun & upbeat 80s style decor! Fun! I've experienced the friendliest customer service, and a variety of great movies, including cozy seating!! Seating: Wildly comfortable, reclining seats that go back quite far; very relaxing! Yes, some of the seats are worn when I look around the theater, but I've been lucky to choose seats that were just right! Movies: I've seen a number of movies here: Sinners, the hilarious Bride Hard, action-packed & edge of your seat F1 & most recently, Jurassic World Rebirth! Snacks: A number of delicious snacks, including one of my favorites, chocolate covered almonds! Yum! I also love the cute movie themed snacks/packaging! Parking: Plentiful, shared with other stores and surrounded by beautiful tall, well-manicured, palm trees, and purple flowers! Surroundings: There are a number of restaurants, shopping, and even a gym! Right outside of Theater is a huge, covered area with table and chairs, as well as a waterfall to watch nearby! I first discovered this theater after dining at Wood Ranch, nearby! Overall: I adore this Theater, it's so cute! I love all of the colorful, glowing lights in the lobby, the coziest recliner seating and great customer service, it's a winner... and easily keeps me coming back!

    LOVE the leg room!

Went to an early afternoon movie here on a whim after having lunch at Islands. Unless you're using the app, which we didn't have, you have to go inside to the concessions to buy your ticket. Sometimes it's nice to do it the old-fashioned way. I do love being able to select your seat; in that regards, the old-fashioned way wasn't as good. You have to go upstairs for the restroom, but we found a single-family restroom on the main floor. That was our first indication that this theater has been around a while, with the worn tiles and walls. I was happy to see reclining chairs in the theater, but again, those armrests have been around a while. The leg room was great though! You didn't have to put your legs down to let somebody pass. The seats were pretty comfy, though. The movie was supposed to start at 2:45, or the previews were supposed to start then, but they didn't start until about 2:55. Once the movie did start, everything was great.

Not the entrance to the theater, but rather, the entrance to the walkway leading to the theater

While everyone was watching the Super Bowl, I was watching a scary movie at Regal Edwards. I recently uncovered a couple of old Regal Premiere Movie Tickets I earned several years ago, likely pre-COVID, and I didn't see an expiration date on them. I was hoping to see Heart Eyes because Regal was offering a promotion where if you saw that movie during the opening weekend, you could get a free Heart Eyes Valentine's Set, at least while supplies last. It was either this or Love Hurts, which would have earned me 500 extra credits. However, after seeing both movie trailers, I was more interested in Heart Eyes and was hoping to score a gift set. Regal Edwards in Cerritos is located in Cerritos Towne Center on the southeast corner of Bloomfield and Artesia just off the 91 freeway. There's a walkway entrance that says Edwards Cinemas in front, but you have to go to the end of the walkway to reach the movie theater. Similar to the other nearby Regal at the other nearby Towne Center (hint: Long Beach), there is a fountain in front that while not as large, can't be missed if you are passing by. I went up to the ticket office, but there was a sign in front that said tickets needed to be purchased at concessions. I saw this at the La Habra location as well, so I'm starting to think this is a commonality at any Regal you go to. I arrived about a half hour before showtime, and there was a family of four purchasing their tickets at the concessions stand. Rudy was the employee working the concessions stand, and I gave him my Premiere Movie Ticket while letting him know I wanted to watch the Heart Eyes movie. I also had a free small popcorn reward in my account, presumably for joining the Regal Crown Club, and I wanted to redeem that while watching the scary movie. Rudy offered to upgrade my popcorn to a Medium for $1 more or a Large for $2 more. I asked if Regal would offer refills for their popcorn, and Rudy said he believed it would only work for the Large, which sounds plausible since that's the case at Starlight Cinemas in Lakewood too. A Large popcorn is $11.99 while a Small is $9.99, so for $2, I could get $23.98 worth of popcorn, which is a sweet deal! I went with the Large before I even asked what the sizes of the popcorn looked like. Rudy showed the bags for Small and Medium, but the Large came in a pretty big bucket that looked more than twice as much as a Medium. When Rudy showed the seating chart on the screen, the orange color was on a seat that looked great to me that I almost thought the screen read my mind! lol so I chose that seat. There was only one other seat occupied in the very far corner, but oddly enough, I didn't see any other customer that watched the movie with me. Yes, I was the only one in the auditorium who was enjoying the Heart Eyes movie while kicking back with a Large bucket of popcorn. Actually, when I arrived, I heard voices, but it was from a couple of Regal employees chatting with each other. They were directing me to my seat by letting me know where the numbers were on each seat as well as the row letters, which are printed on the wall by the stairs. Unlike the theater in La Habra, this one had seats that actually recline, so it made for a more comfortable viewing experience here. Unfortunately, the seats and the armrests looked to be worn out, but that didn't really affect my comfort level while watching the movie. At first, I didn't see any condiments counter where I could add some flavor to the popcorn, so I went inside the auditorium to find my assigned seat. A few minutes later, I realized I didn't get the Valentine's Set as promised per the Regal promo, so I went back to ask Rudy about it. He wasn't aware of the promotion, but suggested it could be redeemed in the app? I just forgot about it and grabbed some liquid butter on the condiments counter that I had missed earlier. The actual movie didn't start until about 25 minutes after the scheduled showtime. They started playing previews about 5 to 10 minutes before the scheduled showtime, and I was getting annoyed with all these previews. I wish they had cut down on the previews because I was starting to fear I wouldn't be able to make it in time to pick up my dinner later that day. The viewing experience was pretty good, about as comparable as when I watched the Sonic 3 movie at the La Habra location. Sound quality was great. Maybe too great that I accidentally dropped some popcorn during some of the scary scenes. Then again, it did get a little slippery and greasy from all the liquid butter I added before the start of the movie. Also, just like in the Sonic 3 movie, I must caution you about leaving during the first set of credits. I almost would have if I didn't like the song that was playing, but there's actually another scene afterwards before the final credits roll. Overall, I had a good time watching a scary movie here, but I'm still a little disappointed I didn't get that Heart Eyes Valentine's Set :(

There should be signs on which doors works and which ones don't. It's ridiculous to play the guessing game one only one does. I was going to get some food but when I noticed that not even the tumbleweeds were here, I feared it, lol. This place could be great if they put a bit of care into it. But it has the energy of a dying 80s arcade whose hopes are gone.

This was our first time at the Regal Edwards. The place was a little worn, but we had a great time. Parking wasn't a problem, which is a plus. It's located in a plaza with a number of stores and restaurants, for which there are ample parking spots. There's a big sign out front that you walk under to get to it. Inside, I noticed that restrooms were all upstairs, except for one single-occupancy restroom on the ground floor to the right. The concession stand was dead center with the hallways to the individual theaters to either side. We saw Moana 2 in theater 10, which was smaller but still had recliner seats. They had seen better days, because the pleather was pretty worn. However, they were clean and comfortable. The movie was a little loud, with my watch app registering a high of about 84 db, but overall it was in the 70s-80s which is about right for a theater. Overall, I can't give it a full 5 stars but we had a great time and would come back again.

Make sure you allocate your time wisely. Came to this location to purchase my tickets ahead of time/in person because their app doesn't offer the service. Came after work- they don't have people allocated to the front of house apparently. Purchase tickets at the concession stands. Not convenient

Going to see Marvels. Hope it's better than I've heard.

The theater is showing its age. The first thing I noticed was how beat up the chairs were. I sat down to find the controls on my chair didn't function very well. It took a little finagling but finally got it into an acceptable position. We came to watch Marvels which is losing quite a bit of money even after the first week but being a Marvel fanatic, I had to find how good/bad it was for myself. The ticket taker was very friendly and helpful so props to her. It feels rather lonely in here tonight. We've got a private showing going on so this doesn't bode well for the movie to come but oh well, it is what it is.

I like that it's not busy but they need to keep the restrooms clean. I've been going to this theater for year and the restrooms are gross.

Ever since they remodeled the movie theater, it feels super modern and comfortable. The seats were honestly one of the best parts. They recline and have that soft cushioned sofa-style feel which made the whole movie experience way better. The picture quality was great, the sound system was solid, and overall the theater just felt really clean and well kept. We kept it simple and just got popcorn and a large soda to share. Honestly, it was more than enough for both me and my wife. We asked for an extra container so we could split the popcorn, and I loaded mine up with butter while she kept hers plain. Small thing, but the staff was cool about it. I also liked the location. It's right by Cheesecake Factory and the whole Cerritos mall area, so there's plenty to do before or after the movie. I noticed they even have a bar inside which looked pretty nice. Next time I go, I'm definitely showing up a little earlier to grab a couple drinks beforehand. We didn't try the food since we had already eaten, but the pizzas actually looked pretty good, and I saw they also have burgers and chicken sandwiches. Overall, this is honestly a really good movie theater and definitely a spot I'd come back to.

When I checked the movie schedule online last night, I saw an 11:30 AM showtime, so we left early in the morning to make it on time. However, when we got there, we were told that the 11:30 AM showing did not have Korean subtitles. We had driven all the way there specifically so my mom could watch the movie with Korean subtitles, so we had no choice but to buy four tickets for the 1:15 PM showing, which did have Korean subtitles. While we were waiting, we bought nachos there, charged our cell phones, and relaxed for a while and had lunch in that mall. Being able to charge our phones was a huge plus. Also, one of the female employees, who was quite tall, was very kind and told us that there was a seating area toward the back of the theater. Thanks to her, we were able to sit there for a while, charge our phones, and eat our nachos. However, there were two women's restrooms inside the theater. One of them had no hand soap at all. I went and told the female employee, and she asked me, "There's no hand soap at all?" I said there was none at all. She then told me there was another women's restroom on the other side, so I went there, and that restroom did have soap. Before the movie started, I went back to the first restroom because it was closer to the theater, but even after more than two hours, there was still no hand soap at all. I was very disappointed, so I had to go to the restroom that was much farther away from the theater. Overall, this theater has a lot of good points. The staff is friendly, the seats are pretty comfortable, the theater is clean and pleasant, you can charge your cell phone, and parking is free. Also, for older people like my mom who want to enjoy the latest Hollywood movies with Korean subtitles, that is definitely the biggest advantage. However, I do have two suggestions: I hope they maintain the restrooms better. If there is no soap at all in the restroom, it does not seem right that no one refills it for more than two hours. I wish they would provide Korean subtitles for all showtimes. If that is not possible, I hope they clearly indicate on their website which showtimes have Korean subtitles and which ones do not. We came from far away, so it was very disappointing to find out that the 11:30 AM showing did not have Korean subtitles. Because of that, we ended up wasting two hours even though we had driven all the way there specifically for the Korean subtitles.

Our movie started at 11:00 a.m., and we figured showing up 5-10 minutes beforehand would be plenty of time, but the line was surprisingly long. Between purchasing tickets and grabbing snacks from the concession stand, you'll want to give yourself a little extra time. One of the biggest perks is their $5 movie promotion on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays before 6:00 p.m. That alone makes it a great value. We also picked up snacks from the concession stand. The popcorn was fresh, which is always a plus at a movie theater. We also ordered nachos but the cheese wasn't my favorite, but it was decent. We got a large Icee as well, and I liked that large sizes come with free refills. They also offer beer, wine, and seltzers, which was a nice surprise. People were talking and laughing during the movie and made no effort to be discreet or anything along those lines. People are on their phones too with the brightness all the way up. I haven't been here in years. So I decided to go with gf in tow, on a Saturday night, for 8:10pm…read moreshowing I did remember to come early to get a good spot to park. 39 minutes early is the latest to come. Otherwise you will be waiting in a huge line and may be fighting for a good spot, so you can be far away from the we*d smokers or smokers of any kind, if you are a nonsmoker like we are . Prices are still cheap. Only $14 for general admission (12 and older). Way better than walk in theater general admission prices. Pretty sure ticket prices are cash. So make sure you have cash for tickets. We came to see Mortal Kombat II. Which was amazing. I never saw the first movie. But you don't have to have seen the first to follow this movie. One reason I wanted to see this movie is Mortal Kombat II is my favorite video game (SNES) version of the MK video games. The best place to see an action movie is on the massive drive-in theater movie screen. Not Imax, etc. So we went here. Another great thing about drive in theaters is you can bring your own food and you can have privacy with your date inside your vehicle, if you know what I mean . Just have privacy glass. Because a family of kids can be parked next to your vehicle. If you want, you can bring chairs and sit outside your vehicle and watch. Which is also a great choice. Especially if you have kids. They will love sitting outside. If you do sit outside, bring a coat, blanket, etc. It gets cold at night. The concession is cheap af and not like walk in movie theater prices. For example, their large popcorn is huge. Yet its only $10 with taxes. We got ours with extra butter. They offer a lot of other good stuff too at great prices. But we only wanted warm popcorn with extra butter. I saw some raggedy ATM machines in there. Not sure if concession got them there so you can use cash to buy food. But I didn't ask as I already had some cash on me to buy popcorn. So make sure you bring cash for concession as well. Make sure you vehicle radio can tune to 90.1 FM and you can leave it on without it draining your battery and without parking/headlights being activated. It drives us movie goers crazy when some foolish person will turn on their headlights while everyone else is trying to enjoy the film. Also, if you need a radio for showing, you can buy one from them for $20 at concession. Great experience here. I love this place. Like I said, I havent been here in like 6 years. Last time I was here, one ticket paid for double feature. Which was a steal. Because after Mortal Kombat II, I was looking forward to seeing Michael again. Which we already saw at a walk in theater. But we were ready to see it again on the biggest screen ever. They dont do double features anymore. So if the website shows two movies, dont misread like I did. It clearly says: "TICKETS ARE FOR A SINGLE SHOW TIME ONLY." I was wondering why everyone was leaving after Mortal Kombat II was over . We stayed in vehicle until security drove by and told us they only do single features. We weren't the only ones he had to tell. Great experience here. Cant wait to see another larger than life movie here.

I've literally been trying to make this happen for the last 20 years -- get a truck, throw pillows…read moreand blankets in the back, and have a real drive-in movie night. Somehow there was always one ingredient missing... the truck, the timing, or the friends willing to do it.Last night it finally happened.I convinced two of my guy friends to go with me -- one visiting from Missouri and one from Temecula -- and we were all ridiculously excited. We honestly didn't think we were going to make it because our movie didn't start until 11 PM, but we pushed through. We had a bonfire first, and right as it turned 11 and we were getting ready to leave, I tripped, fell, and sprained my ankle. Worst timing ever. But if there's one thing about me, I do not like bailing on plans. I said nope, we're still going. We were just going to be sitting anyway, all cuddled up in the back of the truck with blankets and pillows, so I powered through. I tried really hard to get comfortable, and even with the ankle situation, it was still such a fun experience. This one is definitely going down in the memory books. There's just something so nostalgic and special about a drive-in movie. It feels like one of those classic '80s activities that hardly exists anymore, which honestly makes me sad. I'm so glad we finally did it, and I would absolutely do it again. If you've been thinking about doing a drive-in movie night, take this as your sign. Do it.
