I went to see the new Grinch Movie. When I arrived the guy at the window was on the phone. He never greeted us nor said anything. After about 4 mins he then addressed us. All the good seats were taken. Because we had passes we can only get tickets at the door they will not allow you to use the app for their own issued paases. Today I wanted to use the other passes, I called ahead to see if there were any other options to hold seats. I explained to the young lady I have glaucoma and last time seating too close gave me a migraine for 2 days. She replied no and I said driving from Tempe to Gilbert to get there and no seats available would be awful. She says we'll it shouldn't fill up. While looking at the app I see seats filling up. The theaters are small and there is no way to guarantee seats will be available. She didn't seem to care and seem bothered. So since my disability isn't one that people would like to help with I will stick to AMC & Harkins. They have more options and they have better customer service. read more

I really like this theater because it is a little out of the way and apparently unheard of, judging by the lack of patrons. They have the latest movies, stadium seating, and none of the lines. The theaters are smaller than those at bigger chain theaters, but since there are less people in attendance, this has never proven to be a problem. I go most often on weeknights or for weekend matinees and on a couple of occasions have enjoyed the theater to myself and my party - can't beat a "private" showing! read more

Great place to catch a movie if you don't like crowds. The theaters themselves are fairly small, and because the facility is much smaller than Harkins it can only run popular movies for a few weeks before replacing them with the new stuff. The seats are "old style" and don't recline (how spoiled have we become!) and the popcorn is terrible. BUT it's really close to my house, the parking is easy (tip: go around to the back of the theater) and the price is actually decent. First showing of the day (every day, every movie) is only $5 per person. You can buy tickets online at Fandango too (even for the $5 show). read more

I recommend you try a different theater: perhaps the nearby Santan village theater? While waiting for the movie to start my husband and I could clearly hear the movie next door. At first we wondered if that would interfere with our movie, but we needn't have worried. It was SO LOUD it was painful and I literally put in my earplugs (I always carry some as I'm a musician) and heard everything with perfect clarity. The earplugs stayed in the whole movie. It was ridiculous. Also, the bathrooms were disgusting. It looked like nobody had ever cleaned the toilet bowls and half the fixtures were broken. I can see why there were only 3 other patrons in the theater and hardly any more in the rest of the complex. The theater itself was clean and the staff was ok (the popcorn sucked), so this gets 2 stars. read more

My husband and love Going to this theatre as it is close to home and they have wonderful recliners. But the bathrooms are disgusting. I do everything in my power not to use them. Come on Regal time to remodel and clean. I feel like I need a shower after using your facilities. read more

Let me start by saying that I have low expectations for customer service at a movie theater. I expect to wait in long lines if I want concessions. By long, I mean less than 10 minutes. My review is based on the actual theater itself and the booking experience. I ALWAYS buy tickets online for this theater, which is easy as can be and makes the process go by faster. The theater itself is always clean and is so, so comfortable. I haven't been anywhere else since they got the new seats. I have circulation issues and these seats make it possible for me to see a movie without being in a ton of pain since they recline. Love this place. read more

I have been to this theater twice now, hoping to have a better experience the second time. However on both occasions there were only two kids working the concessions and it took about 20 minutes to get a drink, at least. The biggest problem here is the overflowing trash EVERYWHERE you look. It is unsightly and ridiculous that they do not employ more people, or are too cheap to do so. With the cost of movies surely they can afford it. The 2 stars are earned for having recliner seats and accepting tickets via the app, that is the only plus here read more

Okay so my hidden gem of a movie theatre is no longer a secret. They went and updated their seats to comfy recliner chairs and added call ahead ticket purchase and seat selection. Now I have to book ahead a couple days so I get my favorite seat. But honestly there isn't a bad seat in this theatre. Keep up the great work and tell owners to add a loyalty cup. First time here. movie theater inside where the actual movies playing is very nice.. walking in very dirty and not very friendly staff.

This theater was recently upgraded with 'luxury' seating and more restaurant-like food options. Along with this came higher ticket prices and long wait times to get tickets because seats are assigned now. I used to love to bring my kids here because we could see a cheap matinee and get popcorn & drinks with the money we saved on tickets. Yesterday we showed up 15 minutes before our showtime and there was a very long line waiting in front with one person selling tickets. We were still waiting when the showime started and by that point I was close enough to see that it would be $10/ticket to get in. We decided to leave and I don't think we'll be coming back. I understand that theaters are suffering because of declining attendance and are trying to create a more 'luxury' experience to justify higher prices, however they need to fix the wait times for tickets. This theater has moved from a regular destination to a couple-times-a-year splurge and with other theaters like Alamo Drafthouse opening around town with the same or better amenities they're going to need to step it up to survive. read more

3/13/2015 -First trip to this cozy theater tucked away behind all of the restaurants at Gilbert Town Square.Saw the new Disney movie that just opened yesterday Cinderella and what an enjoyable lovely movie going experience we had! A- got to pick our seats ahead of time so no stressing about running in there B- reclined in plush recliners to various positions that had plenty of arm room on both sides C- had NO one block us at all from any angle(every aisle is a "at the bar aisle"- D didn't even need to shuffle if someone had to leave the aisle for a break E- no stinky feet propped on my head from behind F- the areas in general seemed less crowded and far fewer people to have to deal with (as if it is still a hidden gem) G- the outside had that "old time Cinema feel complete with an actual "marquee" which I liked- For our party of 3 It was $11.33 per ticket--"regular movie" price is $8.75 at the competitor down on Germann (if bought ahead of time on their website) so there is a premium on this luxury- and concessions is even higher then other already overpriced movie concessions ($5.75 for a bottle of water) - the lobby areas was smaller but again les people so that evened out- the bathrooms were dated but if that was due to the upgrades in the actual theaters then I am fine with a boring bathroom personally- I think on a date night or out with a group of friends I would have no problem paying that extra (in fact I would always opt for this) for the stress free enjoyment of hitting a 7:30pm movie on a Friday night for its opening weekend. I enjoy the reclining seats, good selection of movies and parking is great. What I don't like is how dirty and old the bathrooms are. I visit this place frequently and the ladies' rooms always smell like urine and there are always toilets not fully flushed (both of them). I don't know if they have dirty clientele or if the toilets don't flush properly. This building is not so old that the bathrooms should be in such bad shape. I remember when it was built. read more

They were having technical problems, and instead of telling us we were out of luck, they did their best to fix the issue, we stayed for the movie, and they gave us 2 passes for each ticket we purchased for future movies, or they offered us a refund. Haven't been here since a year ago and was surprised since my last visit. They have all new electronic reclining leather chairs that almost go flat. Small yet spacious auditoriums with assigned seating when you purchase tickets. Considering it was a Saturday, it wasn't very busy compared to the Harkins at Santan or Crossroads at Germann. Yeh so if I could give negative star I would. Came here to see Suicide Squad and not only did they have no soda and when I say no soda I mean their entire fountain system was down. The reserved seats is something that I like about Regal Cinemas. It's not really a busy location compared to other theaters but that's fine for me. I enjoy the comfortable reclining seats. The prices are fair and they have a decent rewards program so make sure to download their app and sign up. I will most likely be coming here more often instead of the other competitors out there. read more

No other movie theaters for me but this one from now on! Recliner seats + less crowd make this my go-to theater. They also have Rewards program, which I don't think Harkins or AMC offer at this time. I only give them 4 stars because their customer service is just 'meh'. I don't expect the concession people to be super, extremely, bouncing-off-the-walls-happy but at least smile when asked a question. Good thing it's just a quick transaction. But anyway, another cool thing about this place is you can purchase tickets ahead of time and choose your seats through Fandango. The new seating is great. I like how you can choose your seats and not have to worry about where you are sitting. The new seats are very nice quality and very comfortable. When we walked into the theater, there was a trash can in there, but nobody had cleaned the theater yet. Somebody went and told a manager and they came in and cleaned it 5 minutes prior to the movie starting. I didn't really enjoy the popcorn as it was kind of flavorless. I did get a small coke Icee and it was really good. I like this theater because its usually not as crowded, but I think that's going to change now that they have the new nice seats. This is my favorite movie theatre in the Valley of the Sun. I ordered my tickets online in advance for the exact seats that my girlfriend and I would be sitting. This theatre has leather reclining seats. There is tons of arm and leg room and you don't even have to get up if someone needs to walk through the row you are sitting in. Told the gentleman sweeping in the lobby that we were looking to get our money back because of the mice, and he just walked away like it didn't surprise him. There are RATS/MICE in the theater!! This theater is very dirty and food everywhere. No wonder there are tars. About 15 minutes after the movie was already playing, I saw out of my peripheral vision a quick movement where the lights are on the floor by the stairs. I looked and didn't see anything so I continued to watch the movie. Then, about 10 seconds later, I see that movement again. This time, I see a damn rat walking across the floor to the seats in the corner. I could not believe what I was seeing and hurried to tell an employee and he acted unconcerned like it happens all the time and said he can't do anything while the movie is playing. This is a LARGE rat! It is probably so large because they had food all over the place and I noticed this walking up the stairs to my seat how popcorn and crap were all over floor! There is probably more than one rat since they breed like crazy! Unbelievable and apparently it happens a lot because they didn't care at all! We are assuming that is what the two people in the beginning were pointing at and why they left! We left after telling the employees and got a full refund because obviously not going to sit there in the dark with a rat!!! This is such a health hazard because obviously rats have disease and they obviously have to poop and urinate where they are at. Disgusting. Edit: Wow, I wish I had read previous reviews about the rats/mice whatever the hell they are! I cannot believe this theater is still up and running with a serious rodent problem!! Oh my...when did this theatre change to an upscale cinema? We bought and reserved our seats online, did not have to worry about standing in line or getting to the movie an hour early just to get good seats. They are genius! As a long time Harkins fan, I have downloaded the app for Regal and will probably be coming here from now on. So much space in the theater itself and power recliners! So went to go watch Martian today pay for my ticket choose my seat which I didn't know at first but the girl at the register screwed up my seat she placed me all the way at the bottom when I requested to be dead center on the top it was a huge inconvenience I ended up not seeing the movie which was incredibly disappointing. But the manager was nice enough to refund me the purchase of my food that I bought and ticket as well as free tickets for next time. Their employees should pay more attention to their customers so things like this doesn't happen. This place is pretty relaxed. I've been to most theaters in the valley. But the Gilbert Regal is solid. Have most of the most popular movies. Good sized screens. Reclining/reserved seats. Decent sound. Snacks are good typical movie theater stuff nothing fancy. Just a tip though don't ever sit in the first row because you will be surprised that is very close to the screen. And by "very close" that's an understatement. But asked if I could see the next movie and they were happy to say yes. Also they have two extra tickets as well!! Now that's service!! read more

I really want to like this theater because of the reclining seats, but it's so hard to look past the filth. It's always dirty. There's always popcorn all over the floor, the trash cans are always spilling over, the napkin and butter stations are always disgusting and the restrooms are worse.
