Hey friends! This theater is so nostalgic. I remember coming here as far back as middle school years. I came here for a Superman free screening. The movie itself, I enjoyed. We had to sit in one of the rows closer to the screen. My distaste was that those seats are plush but don't recline. Weird that only the rows higher up recline. The ICEE was just syrup. The popcorn was stale. Neither were appetizing and were a waste of money. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was friendly. I most likely will return as I enjoy Downtown Silver Spring.

I went to see the movie predator badlands here. The theater was very clean and comfortable. The security guards were present and friendly. There was only kiosk to buy your movie tickets. The seats did not recline in the theater I was in but there was cup holders. The theater smelled extremely pleasant. The bathroom was spacious and clean as well. Honestly the inside of the theater looks better than the outside. I could definitely see another movie here at this theater.

I'm not too sure as to why this place has a less than 3 star rating. Although it isn't the best ever, it does the job well, and never had a bad experience with the service from staff

Hell this is one of my favorite movie theatres in Silver Spring, Maryland . This is The Regal Majestic Theatres . I font like the Credit card kiosks they dont work well like the ones in the Rockville location . I think its a waste of time without human interaction with communities that come there bt it shows great movies sometimes I like here . It has a lower lobby and it has a straight up.escalators that are tall geting to the next level area . Upstairs it has concession stands that hsve better human interactions but te team i saw was down to a skeleton crew and it looks like business is slow there . It has hallways to all the different movie area of your choice and clean bathrooms. Hospitality is good but could be better in ways to boost business . But its one of my favorite places . I used to come as a teen to young adult . Its been a long time since the pandemic. We weete all at fault for the wrongful and unjustifiable behaviors till trust can be rebuilt again . I wish they make job applications easier instead of difficult . They made it harder than it has to be . I tried and it kicked me out . But I loved watching the Epic Elvis movie . I enjoyd it . Ihope to go back there someday .

Thank you yelp for this screening! Regal Majestic is a slightly old theater but this screening was at the imax screen. I have watched the series and I'm excited for this one!

Small popcorn (overloaded!)

This Regal is clean, has a huge selection of movies, and is right around the corner from another theater that plays art films. (That's the AFI Silver.) Staff are friendly and helpful, and at my last visit, I got a set of glasses to show me closed captioning. I used accumulated points to pay for the small popcorn in the picture. It was overloaded, Jenga-style, which was fun to try to eat without spilling. If I could ask for any changes, I would request a separate ticket-selling counter so if someone is not getting concessions, they can buy a ticket more quickly. I didn't look to see whether I could use a kiosk, but signs didn't route me to that. Anyhow, I'm sure that I'll be back soon!

Thanks to Yelp, I was able to score two free advanced screening tickets to see "Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire." After a long day at work, we ventured from Baltimore to Silver Spring. The overall drive wasn't bad, parking was accessible, and the theater was easy to find. Theater was clean and exxxxxxtra roomy. Regal Majestic is truly massive. MASSIVE. Concession line could use some work, especially the staff. Each staff member seemed to hate their job. No one responded to our mannerisms. No "hi," "thank you," or "have a good one." Ordered a large popcorn (because movie popcorn is the BEST popcorn) in which I had to pull out hair strands twice from my mouth--disgusting. Movie setup was nice. Extra space, comfy seating, and a good crowd. Could have done without the babies and children 4 and under--maybe have a family kid-friendly advanced screening? A separate event would have been appreciated. But free is free, I get it.

The fam and I went to the Regal in silver springs to see little mermaid. Yes we are all adults but yes we enjoyed it lol. This was my first time at the regal and I must say I enjoyed myself. It is in downtown silver spring which is a whole vibe in itself. The regal is a large two story building with several theaters. I don't remember how many. The seating is stadium tiered style. The area was clean. Looks like the crew does a decent job cleaning up between audiences and the chairs were comfy. The only con was they didn't recline at least it didn't for me. Perhaps it was user error. Good experience. I'll be back.

No frills! It's just your basic neighborhood movie theater. It's never packed in here. Concession stand staff give you the bare minimum customer service. Bathrooms are typically dirty, but the theater itself is usually clean and the recliner seats are comfortable.

AFI is a delight because they provide access to an incredible catalog of films and, as a cinephile, you'll find yourself consuming them with fellow addicts. How often have I come here for something like a 1940s Italian neorealist black and white on a weeknight and felt to myself like here with these people I belonged? You can't beat it. This is a theater that takes film seriously, that loves film. It doesn't really matter if I drive or metro, it's a hike either way...and yet I just keep coming back more and more often because there aren't many treasures of DMV arts and culture that beat AFI.

They seek adult beverages as well which is nice and I was able to get my unsalted popcorn which was awesome but it did come in a smaller portion size than what I'm used to. The movie was a lot better than I had expected and I loved they had Christy and the screen writers there. What an awesome opportunity this was.

I was truly pissed and had to come back another day! A movie theater should not do this I drove so far just for the theater brand and management didn't do anything caring. If ppl are late it should be their choice to miss previews or movie parts or not especially on a week day afternoon where it's not packed so not disturbing. I tried the bison burger and it was different not really a fan of the taste whatever sauce they put maybe I'm not sure but I know bison is healthier. The fries were great. The bathroom was gorgeous but they need stronger toilet air freshener someone blew the huge bathroom up unbearably so. The bar was cute & had a patio. Totally would return if incentivized.

Enjoyed my solo movie date to see the sequel to one of my favorite movies, The Devil Wears Prada 2!…read more I specifically chose this AMC because it's tucked away in the cut, not super visible from the main road, and honestly that's part of the appeal. It's always clean, calm, and drama-free every time I come here. Plus, there's plenty of parking, which already makes the experience less stressful before you even walk inside. The seats are HUGE and super comfortable, perfect for a relaxing movie night. Service is efficient, bathrooms are easy to access, and overall the theater experience is consistently solid. I genuinely have no complaints about this location. It has also been one of my go-to quick movie date night spots with my man too Definitely one of my preferred theaters in the area.

"It's goes way back to something roughly translated as 'The Wild Hunt.'" Nick points out, "We can't find [the killers]. We got no prints, no I.D., no record of where they came from..." "That's what I'm trying to tell you," Monroe interjects. "You don't have to find them. According to legend, the first thing you hear is terrible thunder and howling wind, as if the [ferocious wildesheer, also known as caccia morta] are being blown right out of hell." "Not so encouraging..." "They're hunters," Monroe continues, "and their life's blood is built upon killing powerful warriors; and it just so happens that the Grimm is, like, the post powerful warrior of all." "You think they know about me?" "I think it's no coincidence they're in Portland...listen, the most important thing is they will be coming after you...so what we can do is pick where [the fight] happens...and I highly suggest that's not my house." Although, lucky for us Marylanders, picking a theater for where to watch movies is not close to being a life-and-death matter, as choosing where to fight the caccia morta is for Nick and Monroe, it is still ideal to find a space that offers supremely comfortable reclining chairs with cupholders, that isn't attached to a mall or exists in the heart of a downtown metropolis, and that is less likely to have every screening jam-packed seat-to-seat with screaming kids, teenagers on their cell phones, and influencers more concerned with exuberantly filming themselves than silently watching and enjoying each film. For all of those reasons and more, my friends and I choose the AMC Center Park 8 Theatre on 4001 Powder Mill Rd in Beltsville.

I bought a ticket online as I approached only to get a message saying that there would be no previews and no admission after the start time, so I sprinted there. In fact, there were fifteen minutes or so of previews. Other rules about no phones and such were posted, but weren't aggressively enforced. Their food operation was a negative in my eye; when the movie did start someone stepped in front of me to take an order and a credit card number from my neighbor. The smells were dodgy and lights were kept on under the seats to facilitate eating, despite the fact that most people seemed not to finish. For all their promoting how the focus is put on the movie, it just wasn't my experience. For my particular showing, the star of the movie was actually contracted to do a special introduction, which wasn't badly done in and of itself but which kind of detracted from the movie a bit. The reclining seats were comfortable, but I'm not a fan of leather. I'm a bit of an optimist about the number of movies worth seeing and the value of an in-person theater experience, but I usually find myself going outside the District now if I want to see a movie and this experience did not convince me otherwise.
