They also listen to my goals and hopes for my dogs and create a plan to get there. Even after school is over, they are a continuous support as the dogs exhibit new behaviors or issues. I would NEVER trust or take my dogs anywhere else. As for grooming, I've never been a little dog person until we adopted a 6 month old Pomeranian. She captured my heart and soul and as such, needed regular grooming, which was new to us since we always had wash and wear dogs :) OTSFD always did a beautiful job with and were so kind and thorough. She was always ready on time and was perfectly groomed. We had a few sever mishaps with her grooming when we were out of town on extended stays and went to a new place, which OTSFD always fixed. I always stop by for toys, treats and food when I'm in the neighborhood. They are my go-to shop for gifts for friend and clients with cats and dogs as their selection and service is great. I was also disappointed by the cleanliness and upkeep compared to other dog facilities I've visited. The biggest issue for me was the membership policy -- unused sessions cannot be carried over, even when life circumstances make it hard to attend all monthly classes. After multiple emails (which somehow were blocked or censored by a firewall - unsure as they insist they never received), texts, and conversations with staff, I still lost paid sessions with no flexibility offered. Even after expressing my disdain, there was no offer to rectify the situation. There's potential here, but the customer experience and policies need improvement.

Our family highly recommends Controlled K9! We adopted our boy Mortimer last year after he had been…read moreliving as a stray, and we were really struggling when he came home with basic manners, reactivity, and having him settle in with our other dog. We ended up sending both of our boys for a six-week board and train with Kelia. It seemed to only make sense to send both dogs so they would have the same baseline training. Kelia was amazing! She kept us informed just about every day with videos and texts so we could see that the boys were happy and making progress. When Kelia brought the boys home, she spent a few hours with us, showing all the commands and techniques that she taught them, so we had a seamless transition. The "place" command alone has been lifechanging. (Although as you can see in the picture, they sometimes refuse to use separate mats, LOL.) We use the command before we feed them, initially when guests come by, and when we just need them to settle down a bit. It has reduced the stress and chaos in our house tenfold, and we actually can see the boys relax when they know they have a place to go and chill out. Kelia also gave us the tools to make leash walking and general obedience so much more successful. There are a lot of options out there for training. She stayed in constant contact with transparent updates about the puppy's progress and answered any questions we had. Given the puppy's breed and determination, she required quite a bit of foundational training. Since returning home, she's a pro on the leash (complete transformation). Walks are far more enjoyable - no more barking, pulling, lunging towards moving vehicles, and now has a peaceful relationship with the mail box and trash can. Another high priority was addressing the puppy's reactiveness to our child - puppy is now able to follow my lead during potentially chaotic interactions. Overall our program length was 6 weeks long and completely worth it. We are thrilled to have these foundations instilled by a professional who also cares for the dog. Highly recommend!
