I had a great experience at the movie theater in Sawgrass Mills thanks to Sofia and Anelia. From the moment I arrived, they were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. They made the ticket and concession process smooth and stress-free, and their positive attitudes really stood out. Both employees were patient when answering questions and made sure everything was taken care of quickly. It's always nice to see staff who take pride in providing excellent customer service. Having seen other reviews complaining the ongoing renovations... give them a break! Yes, the lobby is closed; yes, the concessions selection is reduced... but the renovated theaters are amazing!! Clean, spotless, recliners with tables... they are great. (See photo from a couple of days ago). Sound and image were also great. At the lobby renovation site, they even have "current/future" photos and renders. We might need some patience, but good things are coming. read more

I want to start off with saying sorry I forgot to take a picture. I never usually come to this theater because it's so outdated and every other theater in the area was better, but I was attending a concert movie special that was only showing in select theaters, including here. I hadn't been here in a long time, and was extremely pleasantly surprised! I was a little confused at first because they looked closed; they should definitely put a sign outside. They're doing a ton of heavy remodeling, that puts this place on par with their other movie theaters in the area. The lobby is being completely redone, so there was a smaller temporary concession stand with limited options. I was blown away by the inside of the theater itself. They have the new, assigned reclining seats with the little tables, and the theater-style seating so you have the perfect view. The seats were so clean that we may have been the first people to ever use them. I'm so glad this theater is getting with the times! It'll be super convenient to have a good movie option nearby and at the mall. read more

I'm not sure if it was the lack of staff even bothering to check tickets, the sticky floors, the torn seats, dirty restrooms with no locks on the door, or the movie that started 20 minutes late, but we heard a horrible experience. My boyfriend and I came today 8/21 to watch the 2:10pm Insidious movie. There was nobody inside when we arrived at 2:30 and walked up to the concessions counter where we showed Mikaeda our tickets. While we were standing there, the deputy general manager Sheldon Hamilton proceeded to make a joke about my boyfriend being Asian to which Sheldon asked about his nationality. He claimed that one of his employees was curious (she did not say anything and was just standing there) so when my boyfriend answered another employee chimed in and said "oh me too" which she clearly was not. Then, every single employee behind the counter including Sheldon continued to laugh until we could no longer hear them while walking to our theater. After the viewing, I approached Mikaeda and asked if she knew who the employees were when we came in to which she pretended that she did not remember, then said "I do remember and you'll have to speak with a manager". Again, Sheldon and Elaineada were behind the counter so I waited until Sheldon was available and observed that while dealing with other customers he never treated them remotely close to how we were treated. While waiting, we heard Mikaeda tell Elaineada to take off her name tag via her mic. When Sheldon was able to talk to us, he said it was a joke and "sorry if that offended you, we joke about nationality internally" but he told my boyfriend an employee was from "hichima city". I informed him that race is an important factor because it would not translate if the roles were reversed and that him leading the joke shows poor leadership skills as he is the example. He apologized and said that since I brought it up to him he could see the problem and would work to resolve it with the team. Race in any capacity should never be the punchline of a joke. It was the fact that he was the one making the jokes and then had the nerve to pretend the issues would be resolved when he had no problem taking customers from other nationalities. Yet, when I asked for a general manager point of contact he gave me the stores email and at no time mentioned that he was in charge. It was only when I confirmed that he was the deputy general manager that he asked if there was a problem. At the end of the conversation nothing was done to rectify what had happened and instead again was pretty much told "I'm sorry you were offended". There were other employees involved unfortunately I did not get their names. DON"T COME TO THIS MOVIE THEATER!! read more

We'll go see movies but not at this theater. Regal, do you want to know why your theaters are nearly empty? Consider the condition of the building and the hiring decisions you're making. You may save money this way, but you're repelling your guests. A law passed in January 2017, requiring movie theaters that have captioning devices to notify the public about the devices and help anyone who needs them*. This may not be news to you, but I know a group of employees at the Regal Theater who have not one idea about this. When we checked online and saw that the theater offered close caption devices, we happily drove over. When we asked the person behind the counter where they sell concession snacks and the movie tickets, about close captioning, she said they didn't have it. When we told her we saw it on their site, she asked again what we were talking about. Before she went to ask someone else about it, she asked me to give her the words again, because she never heard of close captioning. How can she say they don't have something she doesn't even know what it is? After waiting at the only open counter for her to return, I walked over to her standing with a peer and told her that we only had a few minutes left before the movie began. I told them we just need the device, the guy standing with her told me they don't offer them. I told him that their website states they offer them. He looked around as she asked me when the movie started - I know the movie time better than her? - and told me not to worry if we were late because "it's just commercials". Eventually, they deduced that they had a device. They asked my husband to sign a book stating he took the device - well, not exactly asked - the guy said, "you need to sign here" - with all the love you'd expect as someone tells you what you must do. There are no comfy chairs here - no rockers, no seat with filling, nothing. These seats lost their seat stuffing a long time ago. This was not a premium experience. When we returned the device, I asked if they put a line through his name to show he returned it. The counterperson said the book was locked up so we need not worry, they'll mark that we returned the device. I took a pic of my husband returning the device to the counterperson. I trust them not at all. We stopped at the bathrooms - the women's bathroom had a running toilet, a toilet covered to the floor with a black garbage bag and 2 dirty toilets. Even so, the tile floor provided respite from the stench of their carpet. This theater used to be so nice. No wonder we were part of the 5 people in the Barbie theater. The few people may have been because its too early on Friday afternoon, or it could be that movie theater goers know to go to a nicer theater. I feel for the people who are uncomfortable asking for the captioning device. Especially when they ask people who are either untrained or too young to grasp the training. I honestly wonder if any of the people behind the counter were 20 - they were kids working in an unsupervised capacity with little ability. Horrible customer service. I am a regal unlimited member and frequently visit this theatre. Every time I go, I can barley enjoy the movie b/c there are always young teenagers yelling and causing a disturbance during the movie. Last night I watched two different movies, and both were disrupted by teens. I accidentally left an item in the theatre and attempted to contact their lost and found 13 times. With each call; someone answers and then says nothing. No hello, no greeting, nothing. Then they hung up, 13 times. In person, the behavior of the staff has been mixed. Some are polite but several are rude. They need better training in this location as a whole. I would not recommend this theatre. I recommend going to the Regal Theater in Hollywood Fl location. read more

Not the best, but not the worst. Overpriced but most movie theaters are nowadays. The theater is not updated but the staff is usually friendly! I don't go to concessions so I can't give a true review in it. Super easy to book tickets online and we can always enjoy emptier theaters during weeknights to avoid possible crowds. If you want to experience a high class theater, don't come here. If you just want to relax and see a movie easily, then this is the place for you. Regal Sawgrass theater experience was good and the staff is polite. Honestly they really need to be more organized. I love visiting different theaters, I literally drive up and down Florida and check them out along with food spots lol. This theater is not the new and they don't have the fully leather recliners, more like the updated version of the bucket seats. Large and reclining cloth. However, they're still comfortable and are more maintained than some other locations. The sound system was great and I enjoyed the classic movie theater feel. Snacks are good too. I decided to visit and watch the new beetle movie for the four dollar special. To my surprise and disbelief, almost every theater from Miami to North Broward was packed and nearly sold out leaving now room for my guests and I to sit together. Except this theater. Yes even on South Beach. I didn't know that they still would have such a proper tone out. With that said, if you work at a theater, you probably expected this or so I thought. Unbelievably, they decided to section off the closest areas in the parking lot for the theater entrance to use as valet . This normally does not happen, all of the guest had to park really far from the theater if we didn't want to pay.l for the service . Then once you got in the concession lines went from every register to the front door, to make matters worse the ticket counter was not open. The lines were 30 minutes long so if you're coming on a day like this, a.k.a. promotional offer day, try and be there at least an hour ahead of time. If the line so happens to move fast don't worry there's plenty to do just outside of the theater. In any case I feel like they were not d poorly prepared for this event. So much confusion at this Regal location. But if they can get it together, they have friendly staff, fresh, hot snacks, and great location. They just need to get it together. read more

I've never been to a theater with seats this disgusting. When I walked into theater 22, I was greeted with the overwhelming smell of dirty carpet that probably hasn't been cleaned in a decade. I walked through each row with my flashlight on looking for the least dirty seat. Each one was filthier than the next. When it's Christmas and all else is closed the movie theater is the place to go. We were staying at a nearby hotel and after a leisure walk we arrived. I have not been to this theatre before but there is a Regal on a smaller scale back home. The place is large which allows them to show popular movies multiple times per hour. On the day I visited Spider-Man was going in three of the theaters. So you'll find a movie that fits your schedule easily. They did have a decent array of concessions to offer. We bought the largest popcorn to enjoy and it was right around $9.50. It is a ton of popcorn though. I liked there popcorn a lot as it was not salty at all. Note if you like salty popcorn you should pay for extra seasoning i suppose. The theatre interiors and chairs are decent but in the more recent they're builds the nicer chairs offered at the newer theaters are not here. The chairs are not too bad but not the recliners at some of the newer places. The sound and projection quality were excellent though and that is why I still enjoy a good movie. The price was a grand total of $50 for four matinees so not too bad and on Christmas this is about the only entertainment option. read more

Sawgrass regal was the most disgusting theatre ever- don't waste your money. Much nicer cleaner theatres in the area. It was absolutely - filthy- lights broken- the prices for tickets a total rip off paid $24/pp for IMAX Minecraft movie- the theatre didn't have a dynamic screen at all- was a standard screen and the sound was horrible (no surround or upgraded quality) and the seats disgusting- didn't recline- nasty cloth, many seats broken. The snack bar had 4 people working - but 2 per register. I waited for 20 mins both times I went back for more snacks and missed a ton of the movie I was already paying a fortune for. We spent for a family of 3- $78 for tickets and $84 in crap at the snack bar- absolute rip off- so disappointed will never go back there again- Shame on you guys for even trying to operate a theatre like this. read more

First let me say I haven't been to Sawgrass Regal theatres in years and it's my local one but I was reminded today why I don't come. My husband and I decided to catch a matinee and we decided ok let's try Sawgrass again, probably not again after today. First the cashier said they only had Doritos so I said I would just take a refund for one. Went to the manager and she explained she could just grab it, the tositos from back, ok, I asked can she just bring to me cause we didn't want to miss beginning of movie. As we approach theater 1, which it says on the ticket, we were hesitant about going in because another movie and time was displayed, in our confusion on whether to go in , because we were looking to read Bad Boys, we ended up bumping into the manager who was bringing the tositos, without the cheese. She thought I already had the cheese, from the cashier. She did relieve our confusion saying , that even though it wasn't displayed that theater 1 was Bad Boys and we could go in. I ended up going to the counter and just dropping off the chips , and telling them both I would come back for a refund after the movie. The movie wasn't even over yet, when the lights came on! The worker , because the WRONG movie and time was displayed for theater 1 she was confused too and she came in beginning to clean. She finalized realized, left and turn off lights. Totally not her fault. So that was another issue. I went for my refund, it went well, I can say the manners of everyone was good but I'm just totally disappointed and reminded of why Sawgrass Regal theatres are at the bottom of the list for me. read more

I think the Broward County public landfill is a cleaner facility than this theater. This was an abysmal movie experience and theater. There wasn't one square inch of carpet that was not littered with popcorn. There was not a single waste basket that wasn't overflowing with trash. The theater was dirty and smelled unclean. There was only one employee tasked with cleaning the whole theater, which I felt empathy for. The A/C was loud enough to disrupt the sound of the presentation. It wasn't clear what to do with your tickets to check in; There were no employees around. It seems the nice movie experience is now a thing of the past. I haven't been to this movie theater in ages, I got my tickets online and was a little surprised when I didn't get to pick my seats. Well... that is because they have the same old school, squeaky, and uncomfortable chairs of old! Talk about being spoiled!!! I don't care where you are located, is 2018 and who wants to watch a 2 1:2 hour movie seated on those? I didn't enjoy Tom Cruise half as much because my back was killing me! They don't have to be reclinable, but if you are going to charge as much as other theaters, you better be up to par. This Regal is located right in the Oasis in the Sawgrass mall, surrounded by cool, newly built restaurants. I will not be back here, not even to the IMAX room (which is supposedly better) I want to enjoy my movie experience to the max, and this is not the place for that. Does the Regal corporation even know that this movie theater exist? That's a legit question. They've must've forgotten about it. That can only be the logical explanation for how atrocious and decrepit this theater is. The exterior and interior has "abandoned" vibes. Only difference is, there's still civilization around. It's in poor shape and hasn't been touched since it's conception. The service coincides with the atmosphere. But honestly, who would blame them? The building they're working in, is a greasy, sticky, swampy, moist, putrid, Everglades ecosystem. I'm pretty sure I sat in someone's bodily fluids on the seats. The air feels thick and there's a fog in the whole building. They must also mop the floor with the same water that was used 20 years ago. I love the movies. It's one of my favorite things to do. I've enjoyed the whole experience of the theaters since I was a child. It's near and dear to me. But Regal of Sawgrass, you have traumatized me with what you got going on there. I hope they can get out of whatever slump they're in. I hope that someone at Regal Corp can remember that this theater exist, so they can invest in them. It's a prime spot. I'm updating my review because Corporate has great customer service. They responded quickly, clearly, and respectfully. The only issue was Corporate wanted to know my regal crown card number, and I can't find that information anywhere. (I signed up online. I have no physical card.) That's a mild corporate issue, though, not on this theater. I still will not recommend this Sawgrass theater to my guests if refreshments are important to their experience. For my mind to change, I will need to taste better popcorn (less stale, less dull, and more like other Regal locations) and better service (*via training) from customer-facing staff members. read more

I can't believe I had not reviewed this theater! I would pick 2.5 stars for my rating of this cinema. We used to come here a bit more often, but then I discovered we have two AMC theaters close to us and I prefer them! There are three things about AMC that are way better than Regal: 1. Reclining and cushy lazy boy style chairs! 2. $5.50 first showing of the day on weekends 3. Generous rewards program- we constantly get $5 vouchers from them with the rewards program This is an old school theater for sure, it reminds me of the one from back home in NY that opened in 1997. It was real nice 20 years ago, but is now mediocre. That's this theater in a nutshell! You don't have assigned seats here. Some might say this is good or bad. There is a good selection of movies since they have so many screens. The mall parking lot is usually insane here so it's a bit of a hassle to pop in on a Saturday for a 3 pm movie. I recommend parking by Target and walking down. We only came because we had free movie passes from a friend and wanted to do brunch at CCF. I think the first showing of the day was $9 something. Seats were ok, but nothing special. I will probably continue to avoid this theater and go to AMC, but I still have a gift card to use up here from a year ago. read more

I will start this by saying I haven't been to a movie in awhile. I was taken aback that no one works outside to take your ticket order. You now order at the concession stand so plan accordingly because it can take awhile with people buying both tickets and concessions. I went to order a combo but was told the soda machines were not working and the only drinks available were the bottled (even more expensive) ones. First impression, old carpet smell. I bet that carpet hasn't been replaced in the last 9 or 10 years. Still the theater seems to be well maintained. But this theater like its surroundings is overdue for a makeover. Maybe it will catch up to the ongoing construction around it. The staff... I have been here more times than I can remember. I can say the same about the staff at the concession stands. I swear most of them are pharmaceutical marijuana high. They are pretty slow, not very attentive and lack any kind of personality (not all, but most). Which brings me to the conclusion that they have to be firing something up before their shift. Maybe time for random drug testing here, or at least some quality controls. Management- maybe its because I usually come late night or matinees, but unlike other movie theaters I've been to, I don't think I've ever noticed a manager walking around. Usually they are walking around inspecting things and in the really good theaters, engaging patrons. Just a note... This theater is a soft 3 stars, but I believe because of its location it SHOULD be at least 4. It is an okay theater that with a little TLC and contemplative introspection, could be great. Seeing a movie in an actual chair/seat......it's o.k. But I've gotten spoiled by the big, comfy recliner sofas of some of the other theaters; so the Regal Sawgrass doesn't impress me much. They do have a ton of screens, and show a lot of new releases plus special showings which is good. It's also great for seeing a movie after a long day of shopping or before/after dining because there are quite a few restaurants within walking distance at the Oasis. Just plan on arriving super-duper early, or valet parking; because parking is ridiculous......and during the holidays season it is over the top ridiculous! read more

I want to hand out four and a half [4.5] stars for quality, cleanliness, and service. We used to come here in the past and then it got bad! Having not returned in two years, my daughter and I thought we'd give it a try. We came to see the Lego Ninjago movie, and the entire theater was pretty empty. It was a Thursday evening, but there were people at other nearby businesses. We went in. The gentleman at check-in was very courteous and the young man at concession, helpful! He's worked there two-years...whoa! They were still serving from a limited (after Hurricane Irma) menu, but our food was hot and fresh, and the candy wasn't melted. Much to my surprise, there were no seating upgrades. Being that Sawgrass Mills is a touristy area, I expected reclining chairs. No can do! That's what he said; the manager, that is. I spoke to him briefly to inquire if other auditoriums had been remodeled (because ours was a smaller one), but it's not even in the works. What a shame, I thought--it would attract more business, but after our movie was over, and we attempted to exit the theater, I was forcefully made aware as to why this place is not a feasible investment. A bald "looney tune" that looked like a tall Elmer Fudd, was roaming around the front doors and started to follow. My daughter was the first to notice and bright as a light, grabbed my hand and said we had to return to use the bathroom. "It's an 'emergency' she yelled!" The man turned and followed, then tried to go inside--he stayed around and laid down on the concrete border of the fountain! Long story short, we called security and we were escorted to our vehicle with our hearts in our throats! Suffice to say, we won't be going back, unless an armed gentleman joins us! ;) It is challenging to review this movie spot. Minus the seating, they deserve a perfect score--they did everything right and we enjoyed our movie experience. The MOD and staff assisted us with the perp, but we cannot recommend this place because it's unsafe territory! read more
