Disgusting. Theaters are not cleaned, no soap in the bathrooms, and overall old, and dingy seating. I will never be back

$55 for tickets, movie starts 30 minutes past the start time, 30 minutes of commercials, mediocre sound system pushed louder than it should be, and still charging $9 for a bottle of water. This might have been ok in 2011, but in 2021 there are options. I'll stay home and pay $19.99 for the same movie that's in the theater, with no commercials. It's a shame movie theaters haven't changed even though the world around them has. read more

Quite a nice theater complex. The parking is plentiful or at least it was when we came here on Halloween to see Gone Girl (the movie is not recommended). There was a line at the box office but when I went inside to use the self serve ticket kiosks there were plenty and they were quick and easy to use. I don't know why more people don't use them. I had the tickets in my hand and when I went to get the Missus she was still 10 back in line. Proceeding to the concession stand...tons of stuff. The Missus sometimes gets a little overwhelmed by too many choices (and, by the way, we had just eaten dinner at The Bonefish Grill) so she opted for a one of those slushy things. The movie theater itself was spacious and the seating was comfortable. The screen was huge enough for the "movie theater experience" and the sound system rocked. Best of all the rest rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. I'd go to movies here anytime. It's a great experience. read more

I was disappointed in the chairs. The theater offers reserved seating but does not have the recliner style chair. Other than that, lots of open lanes at the concession stand and the theater was pretty clean. read more

Great place to watch a movie! What more could you ask for? IMAX screen, 3D showings, fresh popcorn, clean theaters... I've had mixed interactions with the staff, but no one has been outright rude to me, or even that unpleasant. Just varying degrees of pleasant, really. Maybe it could use a few more screens, but it seems to have enough for the number of people in the area, I guess. Anyway, I'm not complaining. They always have the most popular first-runs there, and they don't' sell out terribly often. Still, get there early just in case and buy your tickets ahead of time. Skip the lines and get your tickets from the kiosks inside, too. Credit card only, of course. read more

This movie theater is beautiful...it's everything I believe a movie theater should appear to be. It's clean and has comfortable seating. I love the lighting outside the building as well as inside where they are selling tickets and concessions. I can't rate the concessions because I didn't get any. This is a pretty solid theater. I went to see Ride Along 2 on MLK Day which was a holiday so there were plenty of people at the movies this day. This was also the opening weekend for this movie. Granted, it's not Hunger Games, Star Wars, or some other big name action movie but Kevin Hart is pretty popular and his movies have a pretty good turnout when they first open so one thing I didn't like is that the movie was being played in one of the smaller theaters. It just felt cramped to me. I would definitely suggest arriving at least 30 minutes prior to your movie so that you'll have time to park. This movie theater is located in a fairly busy shopping center and the parking situation can be tricky at times. Nevertheless, this is a great place to do dinner and a movie or a date night since there are so many restaurant options in the same shopping center and there's even a fro-yo place next door. read more

Having paid $15 ( more than any other theater within 30 minutes) for a Saturday afternoon matinee show - I was expecting big things on my first visit to this theater. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by the manager screaming and yelling at people because he did not care for the way they were lining up to spend money on overpriced concessions (like the ticket - well above the norm for the area). I guess the concession prices are needed because it took the lifeless attendants 4 attempts to make a popcorn without butter. The non-reclining chairs were still comfortable as we sat in the dark for 15 minutes between the commercials and the previews because someone forgot to do their job. If you are seeking an element of excitement in danger -the bathroom stalls don't close properly and have loose fitting hardware - causing great potential for injury. If it had been clean, I would have felt worse about my newly cut finger bleeding all over the floor. You have a lot of choices for your movie going options. This isn't the worst place to see a movie - but it certainly is not close to the best. Why pay more for mediocrity? read more

They discriminate against children with disabilities. After selling the tickets for a group of 140 kids and adults the district manager turned them away. They them lied and told the Maryland ADA that it was a group size issue but, yet they advertise the theater for large group parties? So what has changed? Fix it! read more

Our experience began really nicely. The concession worker and usher we spoke to were very kind and attentive. Everything else was awful. We took our kids to see Onward. What we got instead were the previews for The Invisible Man. Imagine us, loaded down with concessions and belongings with a two and four year-old at the top of the IMAX theater, SCRAMBLING to get our kids out of previews for killer aliens and shotgun violence. But that's not what made this experience one star. No, that was thanks to the manager, Joey, who couldn't care less. His lackadaisical response to my bringing up the issue, "yeah, those are just the previews for The Invisible Man. I guess we'll figure it out" is what tipped the scales. But he wasn't done there. No, they came out of the elevator in front of us, laughing aloud about the whole thing. This was my first and last experience at Regal Waugh 12. read more

Hands down the SLOWEST concession stand on the earth. The people behind the can care less about when the movie is, every single time I come here they take their sweet ass time. This Regal is way overpriced, way over crowded, way to small, and insanely disappointing for being a fairly recent and new location. I was disappointed in how much the tickets cost (I accept the high cost of food) for the small screens. I cringed every time my kids wanted to go see a movie! I came to the theatre a bit late to meet up with my friend and watch a movie for her birthday. She came to meet me at the door when the manager said I wasn't allowed in and raised his voice at my friend, saying he would lock her out. There is going the extra mile, then there is not even meeting standard. I'm sorry Waugh Chapel Regal but you DON'T even meet the standard, you are actually below standard. This theatre is always clean! Other theaters in the area have this weird smell and popcorn all over the seats and floor. I also like this theatre because it is well staffed with security late at night. At night a lot of teens occupy the theatre on the weekend. If you don't mind occasional commentary during the movie you should be fine. If you do, I would suggest seeing a move before 8pm. read more

I've been to this theater once, and some thoughts for fellow film-goers... The Good: The screen was impressively large, probably as big as the fake IMAX theaters you'd be charged an extra $7 for. The sound was good. The seats were big and comfy with lots of leg room. The Bad: The particular theater I was in was very small. While all the rows were stadium seating, the bottom 5 rows were way too close to the very large screen. Only the back 3 rows seemed usable, and there was an unnecessarily large walking path between the top 3 rows and bottom 5, which seems like a waste of space. Maybe the other theaters are larger, and this movie showed in a smaller theater because it had been out for a month. But I wouldn't count on getting a good seat in a theater like this for a big movie on opening weekend. The Ugly: The house lights stayed on at full brightness throughout the previews and for the first 5 minutes of the movie til someone finally turned them off, making it almost impossible to see what was on the screen. I'd have thought the theater would have projectionists who would notice this, but maybe with these newer digital theaters that's all automated now. So maybe it was just a bug in their system, a growing pain of a new place, but it's one of those basic things that's pretty ridiculous to screw up. The Nitpicky: The theater is adjacent to a drag-race track. On a weekend when they're having races, like when I was there, you'll hear the roar of engines during the movie once in a while. ******************************* So overall, a pretty nice theater which I'd try again. But for newer movies, I'd probably stick with the bigger theaters in Arundel Mills, Annapolis Mall, or Silver Spring. read more

Im having issues with the 3 star rating. It's brand spanking new but I have issues with it. Me and honey we to check out the "New" Bond. We went on Veteran's Day. We go there 30 minutes early. Waited in line.. wondering if there were credit card machines inside. I was scared to get out of line.. he was parking the car and there wasnt a line saying you could buy inside with credit. Anyway finally get to a cc machine inside SOLD OUT. They didn't bother to even make an annoument or update the times display. ok so we thought because it was new and lots of folks were off from work then we would try again another day. The next attempt I was taking my daughter to Wreck It Ralph.. Got there 45 minutes early and it was SOLD OUT. And I checked on my Fandango to see if I can purchase online..there is NO link to do so. 3 weeks later we go back to see Bond again we were 40 minutes early I ran to the cc machine. Sold out. WTF The theaters are small. They sell out early. Unless there is another way to buy online... they get here 60 minutes early. I wasn't impress with the customer service I recieved. Yay! I'm so happy to have a movie theater in the OGC (Odenton Gambrills Crofton area)! We attended one of their $6 Grand Opening movies -- and after watching this thing being built and anxiously anticipating it for the longest time, we were a bit disappointed. It does have that new building smell and the line to get in moved swiftly, but the theater itself just seemed, well, small and stubby. Perhaps it's because of the stadium seating, which was nice, but it doesn't have the same feeling of breadth and depth to it that the movie theater at the mall in Annapolis has. The lobby also seemed somewhat small. I had a really great movie night for $6. And the whole point of a movie theater is just to watch the film, right? So depending on their movie selection and the availability, I'll be coming back to this theater. I just wonder what their seating capacity is and how far in advance I'll have to buy tickets, given the size of the theater I saw last night. read more

The concession situation is an existential crisis. It took me and my wife 30 minutes to get a popcorn and two drinks. The line moves at a glacial pace with the most apathetic counter help this side of Six Flags. There were 5 lines, 20+ people deep at 11:15 am. If I'm going to go $25 deep into popcorn and soda at least get me through the line with a bit of hustle. I'll be carrying my snacks in if I ever come back to this disaster of an operation. They don't have the comfortable seating but I do like this place because the lines aren't that long. And the ol school seats are not uncomfortable and they do rock! Plus it is around all the shops and eateries. Always clean. Workers are always friendly. One star subtraction because I rather have the nice reclining sofa chairs. read more

This place has gone downhill. They actually tried to check my wristlet that's not even big enough to hold my phone....last I checked this isn't a shady club in the city. Also I noticed she only checked certain folks with tan skin. Drinks and food decent....but other than that I wouldn't recommend this place. Every now and then we like to switch up on theater's and go somewhere where parking is a little less challenging. When I speak of the big race that would be my favorite theater Arundel mills movies. Although sometimes I am up for the challenge. I just wasn't feeling the race tonight. On the weekends is the biggest challenge lol. Besides that it still is my favorite theater. I don't know what to say about there concession line here because it was crazy long. Luckily I had just eaten because l probably would have missed half my movie fooling with that line. Even the restroom line before entering the movie was crazy. I said forget this I will hold it smh! I'm not sure how many stalls they have but apparently it's not enough. Didn't wait around to find out l had a movie to see and Tom Cruise was waiting. We went to see Mission Impossible -Rogue Nation. Omg That was a very good movie very action packed. I have never seen any of Tom Cruise prior MI movies but that didn't even matter. It was never a dull moment. It actually was a long movie. 2hrs and 12 mins. To be exact so between intermission and the movie itself be prepared to be in the theater for awhile. The seating was ok. We had to sit at the section when you first enter the theater which was only seated for two people. I thought that was pretty cool because it was just the Two of us even though I normally would not sit so close. That movie was packed and we got there twenty minutes before show time. I would definitely return again though. Especially when I'm not feeling the parking issue of Arundel mills because the parking spaces here are plentiful with a very huge shopping center. Now I've been to many theaters, in many cities, but Waugh Chapel 12 is by far the best one appearance wise. Went to see Jurassic Park over the weekend, and although there was a long line created to get into this particular movie, it was so worth it. Once we entered the Imax theater I was blown away at the sheer size of the room. There were no bad seats the entire stadium style theater was perfect from every angle, and the seats - really comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised that with just about every seat filled there was no talking through the movie - thank you everyone who was at the 4:15 showing on Sunday! My only issue is with the cost. Since when did it cost $58 for 3 people to see any movie on any planet? But oh well guess that's the cost of entertainment nowadays (sigh). Still a nice theater, and I will return if in the area again. read more

On my way into a 10pm EMPTY cinema The straight edge that takes the tickets tells me that I have to finish my soda from Popeyes outside. My response was "are you kidding me? It's 10pm on a Sunday night." To which she responds "my manager will kill me haha". So I ask to speak to the manager and am told "there is a manager here but you cannot speak to them". I understand you guys are getting raked over the coals by Five Below and people buying candy from there bypassing your 500% markup but seriously? Sometimes you need to be a little flexible, especially charging me $24 for two 30 something adults and not even being decent enough to let me speak to your manager. Too bad I have two giant boxes of Popeyes in my wife's purse and two more bottles of water. So she basically fell for my decoy. #shouldhavewenttolinthicum read more

Last night I went to go see the early midnight premiere of Skyfall (I would love to write a review on the movie, but I'll just sum it up in one word: Awesome) and it was my first time at this brand new movie theater, so here are my thoughts on this bright palace of film and magic. The theater itself is really nice looking inside and out (being that it is new this is to be expected) So far the staff has been on par with keeping the place clean and presentable. I will say I was quite disappointed in their "arcade" though. There's like 4 arcade games! 5 if you count the change dispenser because you know its a gamble when you put dollar bills in there. I didn't have to use the restroom but I assume that the bathroom upkeep has also been on par. The actual IMAX theater in which I viewed the movie was big and spacious to accomodate a large crowd. Seats were comfortable and weren't scrunched together, plenty of leg room as well, so if someone needs to get up and use the bathroom, their butt isn't in your face for 30 sec as they try to squeeze by you. It was IMAX so the visuals and audio was amazing! As for pricing, I haven't been to all that many IMAX premieres, but 17.50 seems like a lot. I was hungry so I order a combo meal of boneless wings and fries for $7 which is about what I'd pay at Buffalo Wild Wings and such. I was given a box that seemed quite large, so I was slightly upset when I opened it to see most of it was empty but I can honestly say that the food filled me up, maybe smaller boxes so as to not set higher expectations. The wings/nuggets were actually really good, freshly made to my order. The fries, also made to order, were alright but nothing special. The drink is what really got me. Around $4.25 for a small... and though it was a small bucket that lasted me thru out the waiting period/previews/movie, it still was way more than it should. On a side note, I wanted to mention that the Manager on duty came by with these Daniel Craig Skyfall prints that were for midnight premiere viewers, and handed them out personally since many of us didn't receive them when we got our tickets. I thought that was pretty cool, and then I'm sure he was handing them out to people as they walked in the theater, so kudos to you Night Manager! read more

2/27/2017 - Random visit to the movies in the middle of the day on a Monday. No one was in the theater except my friend and I and eventually one other person showed up. Nice reclining seats. The concession area, bathroom and theater were all clean. I definitely prefer mid-day movies over evening ones. Loved having the theater to overselves!! read more

Terrible customer service. We ordered and paid for several drinks and a large bucket of popcorn that our family could share. We then requested an extra bucket or even a plastic top from the nachos so that we could pour some of the popcorn in it to pass to the kids. We were told no and when asked why they said that it was "against their policy".... so apparently its against their policy to make a customer happy. Pretty silly when you think about it - that probably costs them two cents. I offered to pay for one (like a dollar) but they told me I would have to pay the full price of another popcorn to receive an empty bucket. I think it's really sad that customer service is such a rarity these days. Especially with how much it costs to take a whole family out to the movies these days. We just paid close to $80 for tickets and refreshments yet they couldn't spare an extra cardboard or plastic "something" to help us out. read more

Came here on a random Saturday after being in the area and deciding that I wanted to watch a movie. The theater is set inside of the towne center. Its clean and appears to be somewhat new (or at least less than 5-7 years old). Its a decent size and has plenty of seating in its room. The some of the seats (not sure if all) recline. There didn't appear to be a lot of children/teens just hanging out which was a major plus! read more
