There are several HD dealerships closer to my house but in both cases, they had the parts I needed IN STOCK. What I needed today was on back order through the HD website and the wait time was a ridiculous 21 weeks. I could wait for months or just I could just take a ride up there. But before I drove up, I called to see if the part was actually in stock. The person who answered my call said the parts guy was tied up with a customer. Instead of telling me to call back or dumping me into voicemail(I hate that!), he checked and confirmed the item was as present in the store. It was. Maybe my two experiences were exceptions to the rule. I don't know. They are what happened to me. I realize these were trivial events but trivial events are what builds customer trust.

I walked out regretful I walked in and drove to Ski Barn in Wayne that had a much larger selection and more welcoming staff. Their delivery time to obtain and install the new window treatments was extremely reasonable, however we had to cover the windows until the new treatments were available. We didn't want to live in a fish bowl. Once at the house - Anthony again made recommendations on colors as well as temporary - inexpensive blinds from another company until ours were ready. He could have tried to sell us something more expensive from his business, but he didn't. We received a call from Nicole a week before the planned installation date to schedule an appointment. She too was very friendly and professional. A couple of days before our scheduled appointment - Nicole called us again to say a spot opened a day earlier and they could come sooner if we desired. Of course we took the earlier appointment. When appointments are made - we are used to hearing they will be there between 9-12 or 1-3 or other window (no pun intended) of time - but with Window Trends - Nicole said they would be here at 12:30 on the scheduled day.
